Great experience living and working in Madrid for 6 weeks. Apartment was super central and the internship itself really enjoyable. Special thanks to Lalita for making sure I got the most out of my experience.

I had a great time in Dublin with the Intern Group. There were several cultural engagement activities that I was able to participate in, and I also explored Dublin city center by myself almost everyday. The Intern Group staff provided support when needed and I learned a lot in my six week business internship. I initially had problems securing an internship and finding a location due to COVID-19 and slow email response times from the Intern Group’s Finance Team. However, my overwhelmingly positive experience in Dublin outweigh all of the stresses of the planning before the internship. Overall, I would recommend this program to someone looking for an international internship experience.

An invaluable experience made even better by the amazing people I met from all over the globe. I completed a 6-week internship with an NGO in Madrid, Spain and the work was both rewarding as well as enlightening. I thoroughly enjoyed this internship and would recommend it to anyone. Special thanks to the lovely Lalita for always looking out for the interns and making sure we had the best time.

Regardless of getting in Hong Kong in the peak of the fifth COVID Wave, my experience was fun and enriching. The city is amazing, the Internship was great and I met a lot of international people

I participated in a one month internship in Bangkok through the Global Opportunities programme at Bristol University. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but the programme exceeded my expectations in every way. The Intern Group was helpful in linking me to an NGO in Thailand, while the programme fee included a great accommodation in Bangkok and 24/7 support. The experience in Thailand was amazing, with several cultural experiences also included in the programme. Even though I did not manage to get my first choice internship, It has been a great experience and am glad to have come. Most definitely recommend the programme.

From my experience in Madrid this program is definitely worth the investment. Before my internship with Delonia software through the intern group, my previous experiene coding was only 3 months between my first and second year at university last summer. I enjoyed it and was considering either a conversion course in psychology or computer science, after my initial bachelor's degree in Education. After this program, I feel more confident than ever to start going out more and meeting new people, if I can do that in a country I don't know the language of, doing this back home will be a ton easier. Also it has confirmed that I do enjoy coding and will be applying for a computer science conversion course masters degree, with a strong application. If the language barrier is intimidating don't fret, as with the intern group, you will be placed in a company that can speak your language, some of your coworkers will be keen to learn your language too! In my case, not only was the team supportive in helping me learn fundamentals of coding but I still keep in contact with two staff members to continue working on learning Spanish. You can never go wrong with a second language. Additionally, the intern group entitles its patrons to day trips across Spain: witness the magnificent cathedrals in Toledo or visit Castle Alcazar in Segovia for example, while making friends along the way with your roommates and other interns you will meet on these trips and lively nights out in Madrid. There are some things to consider however: - While you won't be paid on your job, due to legislation not the intern group itself, as a student the experience is what is valued above all else for job prospects. Particularly in my case as for my course applications I would be up against people who studied maths and science based subjects, meanwhile I studied a social science, therefore this program would largely benefit me as getting an internship elsewhere let alone a paid one would be notoriously difficult and without the experience, I would have a tough time securing a place on a conversion course. This internship program is particularly useful to help you change career direction, don't let the price stop you. - Your accomodation may not have air conditioning, although this is a bit of a nitpick that can be easily circumvented by buying a fan and using a bowl of ice that you can constantly reuse to save money. - The intern group will cover your accommodation but you still need to pay for flights and have spending money. Food and transport are very cheap in Madrid, particularly compared to the States and Britain, so that will be a non issue. Spending money would be for the amazing time you'll have outside of gaining valuable experience for your desired career sector. And no one goes to another country to just live normally! Additionally financial issues can be somewhat circumvented; the intern group does have partnerships with numerous universities. For example, at my university, some of the other interns who are students there along with me, received a bursary where they only had to pay 500 GBP. Ultimately I would highly recommend this programme if: - You have the cash necessary. Whether through working beforehand and/or in my case able to obtain a bursary. - Not specific to this programme but for any internship - you are working in a company in a sector you KNOW you want to work in. Choose the sector first before applying especially if you can work in person for the additional support that it will provide. - You do/want to learn to not give up easily. I know it's awful when you feel like you suck at your job and there are times I've wanted to go home just by being so frustrated. However I knew what I would obtain from this experience would be invaluable and so pushed on. Alongside help and encouragement from the manager of the programme, Lalita, who you can easily approach and reach out to. You are also provided a free therapist via an app, you'll never feel alone during your stay here. Under this criteria you will be in for an unforgettable experience guaranteed to shape you professionally and personally. After this I can't wait to use this new found confidence this internship has given me, to start going out more and meeting new people, forming new connections and experiences during my final undergrad year. Who knows maybe I will see some of you in Madrid again when i get the funds available from working while studying!

I participated in the Hong Kong program and enjoyed my placement and the city. The Intern Group team, especially Sau, was very helpful with questions about quarantine, placement, visa. Everyone was very friendly and I was able to work on an interesting project at my placement company. Hong Kong itself is an incredibly beautiful city, recommend a lot.

Absolutely excellent experience. Coming from the Leicestershire, UK, I was part of the Summer 2022 New York Program for 2 months, it was an amazing experience highly recommend applying. I was a Software Engineer at a company at the Rockefeller Center. The Experience Co-ordinator made the trip 10x more enjoyable, Brian is very welcoming to everyone and makes sure that your time in New York is a comfortable but also unforgettable one! If you are in University/college I highly recommend applying to the New York program, you will get to meet Brian! and you get to live in the Big Apple, live life as a New Yorker!

Taking this opportunity with the intern group was a wonderful experience and i wouldnt want to do an internship any other way. I worked with a company to optimize their social media platforms and market to their target audience while trying to build a following and up engagement. I learned a lot while living in a new country as well as working with a company in London. I previously studied abroad in italy for spring semester and then came to spain to do an internship, so the adjustment was fairly easy. I learned a lot about others, my career, and a new culture. I am grateful for the opportunity that the intern group gave me as well as all of the friendships and connections made along the way. They have a great team. The interview process and acceting a company was my one challenge i had because a lot of the companies didnt show up for the interviews we set up. That was not the intern groups fault though. other than that I enjoyed every second of this experience. I was able to travel and still work remotely in different cities across europe and even north africa. being able to work wherever you are and see new places is a plus when working as a digital nomad. I recommend it to anyone that is looking to get credits, work experience, and life experience! Thank you so much, Intern group!

After hearing about the Intergroup from a friend I decided to check it out. I somehow ended up in London, England just a few months working on an internship at a theatre to help build my skills as a stage manager and arts manager. This is in all thanks to the Interngroup. The Interngroup worked with me from day one of applying all the way through my last day in London. They provide you with the all support you need no matter the day or time. They will always answer your questions or concerns you may have. They made me feel right at home even though I was 3,500 miles from my actual home. They made the process very easy to understand and gave me all the necessary tools to spread my wings and fly. I 100% recommend anyone interested in doing an internship to go through the Interngroup. Whether it be traveling to a different country or doing a digital online internship, the Interngroup is the best place to start!

I was a digital nomad intern in New York. The idea of being a digital nomad was new to me, so this was a very exciting adventure. Moreover, the interngroup staff in New York is super nice and helpful! The internship placement was also perfect. I can recommend this program to anyone who wants to get quality working experience abroad!

I was a digital nomad intern in Madrid for the duration of 6 weeks. I wouldn’t know where to even start describing this amazing experience. Madrid is beautiful, there is always something to do for everyone and you can never get bored in this city. The program too had some interesting events where we had the chance to meet all the interns and experience local festivities and events. If you are doing a digital internship you also have the advantage to travel and discover other places in Spain. Living with other interns was an amazing opportunity too, as you get to experience different cultures and backgrounds and you create an environment similar to a big family. I feel like all the interns in this program are always keen on doing things and meeting new people and that made me feel very welcome right from the start. It’s a very unique experience that I would recommend it to anyone. :))

I applied for the Entrepreneurship Digital Nomad internship to see if this is the field I want to pursue. It is, and it’s all thanks to my employer! After 8 weeks working for Jobup, a recruiting start up based in Armenia, I’ve acquired skills in communications, business relations, editing, and sales. I’m very lucky to have been matched with my boss, who acted as my mentor, teacher, and friend. Even while I was traveling around Europe, we met daily to review company updates and talk about the start-up industry. I was able to openly show my curiosity, passion, and resilience throughout my internship, which made my experience beyond enjoyable. Working in Madrid has been incredible; I loved exploring this global city, learning more about Spanish culture, honing my language skills, and meeting some memorable people. Thank you, Intern Group, for this wonderful opportunity.

I cannot say enough good things about this program and the experience that comes with it. I am a college student and came to Madrid as a digital nomad during summer break. I learned so much about myself, the cultures and customs of Spain, and about marketing throughout my time in Madrid. This program allows and pushes you to step outside of your comfort zone and make new friends and connections from all over the world. Madrid is a beautiful city with endless things to see and do, but it is also easy to travel around Spain and other countries as well! I lived in a beautiful apartment on a busy street in the center of Madrid. I met the most amazing people that will be friends forever and gained experience unlike anything I could have imagined. If you are looking for an internship in an amazing city with the opportunity to live like a local and gain both work and true real world experience I would recommend TIG!

I wanted to gain professional experience abroad in my field of study. The intern group allowed me to do just that by offering me a quality internship in New York City. It was a truly incredible experience both professionally and personally. I learned a lot and I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to launch their career. I would also like to thank Brian Limbo who accompanied me during my program and allowed me to discover New York with the other interns and to establish unique connections. Thanks also to the whole team, it was truely an amazing experience.

I learned about the Intern Group program from my friend who also decided to internship abroad with them this summer. We both applied to be in Madrid, Spain and have had amazing experiences here. Not only did I get to learn about the work culture in Madrid, I got to build and relearn professional skills that will be important for my future. Additionally, they gave us many opportunities to explore the city and Spain as a whole with included events (to Segovia and Toledo) as well as access to a month long public transportation pass (that is easily reloadable at the local Metro stations). The public transportation is vast, efficient, and safe, so I got to enjoy exploring the city a lot more than I would have as just a casual traveler. The accommodations were also very nice, and mine was only 20-30 minutes away from my internship using public transportation. Overall, I think I have gotten a lot out of this trip, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

This summer has undoubtedly been a life-changing experience. Coming all the way to Bangkok from New York was no easy feat, and like anyone, it was nerve-wracking to move to a different country and begin a foreign internship. However, my internship in Thailand has been amazing. The company I interned for was truly a special group of supportive, welcoming individuals, and I've learned so much about Thai work culture and my field (PR and Marketing). Thanks to them, I've been able to explore so much of Bangkok due to their recommendations. Aside from work, I've had the opportunity to meet some of the most unique individuals ever. By being in the same program together, we became like family and did practically everything together, whether it was grabbing dinner every day or traveling to different cities on the weekends. From this experience, I've created lifelong friendships & connections and explored an amazing country. This was an extraordinary time, and I've experienced more than I ever thought I would - thank you TIG!
