Great course designed which helped me gain experience in the industry that I wanted to enter to work in.
My time in Dublin was a lot of fun. I loved meeting and hanging out with new people and being immersed in a culture outside the USA. I would recommend anyone that can to get out of their comfort zone and learn a bit of Irish while they’re at it!
Best experience ever!!! I met amazing people, did an awesome internship, and because of the Intern Group and the confidence and experience it gave me, I went on to complete internships in 5 different European cities (I am from New York, USA). Now I’m working in Berlin, Germany! I love Intern Group - can’t say enough good things about it!
My experience was excellent. I went to a 4 month internship program in Hong Kong. At first I didn’t know what to expect because it was my first time travelling with The Intern Group, but I can say that since the beginning they supported me with the whole process and I did not struggle at all to fill out the documents that they requested. During my stay, the customer service was phenomenal and they immediately answered any question or doubts I had. The city, the residence, the job and everything met my expectations.
Bangkok, 2019. The program i got was as what i expected before i joining the program. The procedures went so smooth and any required skills training and culture exploring trips for such beneficial internships were planned by the organizations. It was such an honored to be a part of The Intern Group Alumni. For the subject of the employer, all the responsible persons of Job Top Gun Recruitment Agency could mentor me in all aspect of HR management in within reach. I'd like to say big thanks to Kewee Weeraphat, the back office HR supervisor of the company who mainly mentored about the company insights and Tarn Waranya, this is who arranged all things about the accommodation and intern-related things into very convenient way. I highly recommend to everyone who wants to explore new things in new culture, The Intern Group will be the best to make them happen in a complete way.
Foremost, I think going into any internship programme - like those ran by The Intern Group - you should be be openminded and be realistic about the expectations you have. What are you looking to get out of this experience? And what steps do you have to take personally to achieve it? Yes this is a programme which you have to pay for and that comes with risk in itself but if you are looking for an experience to enhance your skills and help your language acquisition then The Intern Group can be an amazing opportunity. You get what you give so go into the programme with enthusiasm and courage. My aim before completing my internship in Madrid was to improve my language skills and gain more confidence speaking in Spanish. I knew I had to push myself out of my comfort zone if I wanted to succeed in learning the language. When searching for my specific internship the team were great, they helped me match my passion for feminism with a company who were working to achieve gender equality in the workplace. Once arriving in Spain, Lalita became my Spanish madre and she helped me enjoy the experience and supported me, even when I was freaking out because I thought I lost my passport. I was also extremely lucky to connect with the other interns straight away, I built lifelong friendships and this week enjoyed una copa with one of them in Madrid. The company I interned with were also amazing, helping me gain corporate experience and working on projects which would make a difference. I was given more responsibility as my internship progressed and continue to keep in touch with my boss. Overall, my internship in Madrid with The Intern Group was incredible. I highly recommend this experience for anyone in a position where they can spend time and money to enhance their skills. It was exactly what I needed to help me progress with my Spanish and whilst I still have a long way to go, its given me more confidence in myself, my ability to speak Spanish, and granted me more opportunities for my future.
This is an incredible program. Being a digital nomad is a dream (one that I didn't know I had). I was one of the first so before, when I was told I'd be working from home in Spain, I was really scared. But when I got there, I wouldn't want anything else. My life was perfect there! Madrid and the program directors were so warm and welcoming when I arrived. I have made lifelong friendships, travelled all around Europe, all while advancing my career! I worked in different/fun cafes all over the city with my friends everyday and had such a flexible travel schedule since I was WFH. I can’t express enough how much this has helped my career at home in the USA. Having international experience in my field made finding other jobs SO easy because I developed a uniquely advanced perspective within the field (B2B and B2C marketing and PR). I solve problems in my job everyday with he skills that I acquired while I was in Spain. Consider an internship before anything else! And don’t be scared of being a digital nomad it is so freeing! ------------
I had one of my best lifetime experiences with The Interngroup in Madrid, Spain! Everything was perfect and everyone was very kind and open-minded overall to me and the other interns, especially Lalita and Catalina. They were always very helpful and seemed very concerned for the well-being of all interns (as well as others). Additionally, they always listened to all of our questions and concerns, even those that were not entirely related to those from the internship. Lalita, Catalina and the rest of the people from The Interngroup were always concerned about us and kept checking that everything was going well, while fomenting the personal and professional growth, as well as the notions of self-discipline and independence from all of their interns. Moreover, they also organized many very fun and interesting activities with their interns, and always find a way to make things work overall, despite of the threats and externalities (such as the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, and everything that involves). I should also mention that the housing providers (Vitium) made my experience in that regard much better than I was originally expecting. The “hostal” was very well located (right in the center of Madrid), and the building was in really great conditions generally speaking. In my experience, it’s very hard to find a place with such optimal circumstances in any Western European country, and especially for that price. Nevertheless. I should also emphasize that company in which I was working as an intern (called The International Business Hub) had a lot of positive, characteristic aspects, which made it unique and distinguished it from many other places: Firstly, the managers and employees worked in an an environment in which communication with one another was suitable for all parties involved. Secondly, the overall organization and the working dynamic were perfectly designed to make the working environment productive, and so that everyone had a specific role that allows him/her to feel important in his/her job, but everyone there seemed to always be extremely helpful and were always willing complement others to reach their goals. Thirdly, the employees, the managers, and the company as a whole had well-traced short and long-term goals, and every Friday afternoon there was a weekly meeting taking place in the office, and the managers checked quickly, but meticulously, and person-by-person, who met the expectations and who didn’t, or who did so partially, and thought of creative ideas and planned strategies to be able to improve individually and collectively as a company. Moreover, Álvaro, Juan, Fernanda, and all of the people there seemed to be incredibly knowledgeable and smart individuals, with a tremendously great level of expertise in their industry, but they are also street-smart individuals, who taught me a lot of things and were always looking for the personal and professional growth of others, even including the interns. I have a lot of respect and admiration for them, and value and appreciate everything they did and do. I could probably think of many more things that the said company did incredibly well, but just to summarize, they are clearly a company that has been doing things extremely well overall, and despite of the fact that it’s a relatively young company, they have often found the ways to remain competitive and grow, while overcoming many of the internal and external challenges of the so-called digital age.
Fantastic experience! I was looking to build my career with some professional experience from abroad during my elective semester and I was not disappointed. Thomas & Anna were incredibly helpful outside of work and it was a great pleasure being part of the September 2021 program. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for professional experience while having a great time after work/weekends.
TIG has allowed me not only to have two amazing work experiences (yes I did the Madrid intership and the Hong Kong internship) but has followed me throughout all the processes and was super helpful with me even considering covid times!!! Going to Hong Kong was the most difficult thing I had to do in my life but Sau Yi was always there for me helping me with visa stuff and other difficult things And for Madrid I had my loving Lalita who was like a mother to me!!! Everything went super well I will be forever grateful xx every time I have the occasion to talk about the intengroup I always do it with a big smile on my face ❤️
I had a fenomenal time working with my company in Madrid and it was easy to transition into it. I learned and developed a wide range of skills in the area of advertising and social media marketing. I am grateful for the support and activities organized by Lalita, the support she gives you is absolutely admirable. It was all worth it for sure and I would recommend this experience to anyone.
This was the worst internship ever! Don't ever try to apply here. Because they will NOT return your money! When I first apply they were almost forcing me to pay them just so i could hear back and I get them almost 2,000 dollar just so I could get more information about the program. When I got "interviews" it was basically all on zoom and not traveling. What was the point of doing this program them? if I'm not even going to London and not getting paid for it at all. I emailed them several times and did not answered when they did not wanted to return my money. So I just paid them for nothing! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
I really appreciate it! I loved my internship it has helped me so much so far ! I’ve received lots of praised for my hard work, and I cannot thank you guys enough for the things I’ve learn during my internship :)
Would not refund me for an internship that never happened. Could not find me an interview with a company that I liked or was interested in. Therefore, by policy I should have gotten a refund once they failed the interview process. Asked for a refund and have not heard back from them for months. Rubbish company only looking for your money.
AN ASTONISHING AND EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE TO FUTURE ENDEAVOURS The intern group has undoubtedly opened the doors to my future endeavours. I always wondered what I will do soon after university to boost my resume and stand out in competition.. Thankfully I found the intern group which gave me the opportunity to network with some of the world's developmental agencies through being interned with International Thai Foundation (ITF). I am very thankful to the group and it's programs such as the Career Advancement Training and the Keynote speakers and it's amazing communications tools such as Slack whom gave us the opportunity to meet friends and share some amazing cultures from the different countries... I would like also to extent my appreciation to my supervisor Mr John Lewis for his guidance and constructive criticism during the internship. Also I extend my thanks to the intergroup scholarship team for granting me with a scholar worth US $1000 to help me during the program... Paying US $2900 for a virtually internship was not going to be easy more importantly from a least developed economy like Zimbabwe.. I would highly recommend my peers and my fellow Zimbabweans to do the internship with intern group... The Certificate of Completion will defiantly look good on my resume. I originally applied for an in person internship in Colombia. Because of COVID this was cancelled, I did get three options: virtual, waiting for Colombia or choosing another destination. Because I didn't want the uncertainty that came with an in person internship & I couldn't get a refund for my 2500 euro that I already paid, I decided to do a virtual internship. I think 2500 euro for a virtual internship is extremely expensive, but I didn't have another option since they don't give refunds. And waiting until the borders opened up again wasn't an option for me. If it was only expensive, I could have lived with it. But it wasn't. During the placement proces it became clear to me that they did not have any available internship placements in my field. I already know what I want to do in my future career, and this internship was supposed to be an experience within this field; e.g. domestic violence. I always mentioned this very clearly. Apparently they put my field down as 'ngo' and 'social work', so when it became clear that there were no internships regarding domestic violence, they could still find a place for me somewhere else within those fields. This way they would also not have to refund me. Because their policy is 'refund when we cannot find anything in your field' When I said no to a couple of internships (that had absolutely nothing to do with domestic violence), I was told to give certain placements a change, to be positive and not always say no. I think for 2500 I would expect at least an internship within the field I wanted. Eventually they asked me to make a list of domestic violence organisations myself (so essentially doing their work for them) - I don't even know if they contacted them or not. They kept sending me organisations in the ngo field that had nothing to do with domestic violence, because officially they put 'ngo' as my field - even though I repeatedly said that I wanted something in domestic violence. I was also told I could not get a refund because there were still organisations in the ngo field (not domestic violence), In the end I did an internship, still not related to domestic violence, and tried to make the best of it. I feel like I just threw 2500 euro away. Long story short - They are an organisation that is focussed on money, doing everything they can to not refund people. Even if they cannot provide a decent internship placement for 2500. Make sure you do your research, and I would even go so far as ask a list of their organisations in your field, or at least a written confirmation that if they do not find you an internship in the specific field you want, you get a refund!! Their fields are so broad that it makes it impossible for participants to complain that they cannot find you an internship in your 'field' because they make their fields so broad.
I had the opportunity to intern in Hong Kong in a prime french company in their sourcing department. This opportunity was enabled by The Intern Group Hong Kong. I am very thankful for this opportunity that enabled me to increase my experience, expand my network and familiarize myself with the rich Cantonese culture. I blindly recommend enrolling in their program and also recommend taking an internship in Hong Kong that happens a great city to explore, hang out and have unique experiences. I would recommend Lan Kwai Fong over the weekend for outings and for networking with local and international professionals living in Hong Kong.
One of the best experiences of my life. While in Dublin I was able to see so much of the city and the surrounding city. Through the Intern Group, we went on trips to Galway and the Cliffs of Mohr which were AMAZING! I was also able to travel to Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Belgium while doing my virtual internship. The program really allows participants to choose how involved they want to be. They offer weekly programs that I highly recommend attending (Guinness Factory was super fun, and all of the meetups are a great way to meet the other interns). Definitely, worth the money and the time commitment, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
It was so nice working with both the intern group and the business company they introduced. People are warm, supportive, and highly educational.

May 12,2022The Intern Group has been a very nice experience for me. They have helped me to find an amazing 6-month intern job at the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. After signing my contract, they helped me to apply my visa online. When I arrived, Sau (program advisory and visa officer of the Intern Group) was organising some online events when I was in quarantine. On the same week that I left the quarantine hotel. He organised a dinner at the restaurant with other people from the Intern Group. It feels very nice to meet new people when you just arrived in a new city. After that, during all my internship period. Sau was organising some visits and hikes around Hong Kong, which were very well organised and great! I’ve got the chance to meet a lot of interesting people from many different countries. At the end of my internship, I succeed to find a trainee job at the Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. Sau helped me to apply for my new job visa! He was very kind with me and always tried to catch up with me. It is a pleasure to meet him, and I wish keeping hangout with him in the future if I stay even longer in Hong Kong. Best wishes to you Sau and thank you to the Intern Group for this experience!
