This group is really helpful
The Intern Group has definitely opened the doors to my future career path & I'm very grateful for this! Even during a pandemic, my two coordinators Sau Yi & Joyce were fantastic to making sure everything was smoothe before I even arrived to Hong Kong - their support & organisation during such a hectic time was so so helpful. Once I was here, I was welcomed by their activities & I've met some amazing people in the accommodation that was offered to top off my experience with them. I took away a lot from my internship & networked with a lot of people ... I even extended my time in Hong Kong with their help of finding a new job here!
I did a virtual internship with an organization in Dublin. I learned a lot during my internship and got a lot out of the career advancement training from the Intern Group. I was incredibly impressed with the communication with the Intern Group staff, from even before my internship began until after my program ended. Everyone was very helpful and prompt to act on any concerns and feedback I had. I would definitely recommend the program, especially for other students and recent graduates.
I had the best summer ever even with COVID going on. I got to live and work in Dublin and be as involved with organized group activities as I wanted to, we also could very much do our own thing which was amazing. The program coordinators were so fun and were just like having friends in the city. AMAZING experience
I did a virtual internship with a NGO in Uganda. The Intern Group made this possible. I was able to learn a lot about the culture in Uganda, as well as network internationally. I worked on the organization's Education Fund and was able to raise over $2,000 for children who could not afford their education. Being able to do a virtual internship was amazing. Due to COVID-19, I knew that I would not be able to obtain an in person internship, but that I wanted one to boost my resume. Thankfully, I found The Intern Group. Every employee of The Intern Group that I interacted with was amazing. They were very helpful and prompt when returning emails. Another great thing that The Intern Group offers is Career Advancement Training. The training was very insightful, and helped prepare me for my future career. Also, the certificate of completion looks really good on a resume! Overall, I would highly recommend doing an internship through The Intern Group.
Through the Intern Group, I worked virtually for Startupbootcamp, a startup accelerator based out of Melbourne Australia. I worked on Growth Hacking, a ton of analytics, built a database, built a front end for the database, automated ad reporting system, and more! The mentors and friends at SBC were great. None of that would have been possible without the Intern Group. They set me up with SBC and provided me with high quality material that allowed me to thrive in my internship.
I had just the best experience with The Intern Group in Dublin, Ireland. From my internship placement, to the activities, to the people, I had a truly incredible time. John and Lauren were both so welcoming and helpful from the start and they made me feel right at home. Even with the Covid-19 pandemic, The Intern Group found ways to get us involved and connected with others across the globe, which was so cool. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had this experience and I can say with certainty that I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to The Intern Group and a tremendous THANK YOU to everyone working with The Intern Group Dublin!!! :)
I did a 6 week program in Dublin in June- July of 2021. I had an amazing time and experience. I loved it so much and the people I met there that I returned to Ireland a week after my program! With Covid, the team was great in keeping us informed and healthy during our travels. Every part of my experience was enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone trying to do an international internship.
I had two internships with the The Intern Group. Generally I would describe it as a great experience . Having such a virtual internship really enhanced my legal and political skills. It's nice that you could have such experience during Covid_19 .Overall the virtual internship was interesting and efficient. The team were always available and ready to help and support you, specially Will and Valeria . First internship with the Office of Council Member Keith Powers. Jenna Klaus pushed me where I challenged myself . Second internship with the Advance Group Sebastian Levenson and Alex where my monitors. Both were warm and and ready to receive my feedback and change things due to difference in time zone. I enjoyed learning new things about American election and New York candidate's. I wish I could do it for a longer time. Totally recommend, it’s a great way to practice different law , and I will remember this experience forever.
Every moment I spent in Dublin was unforgettable! Both Lauren and John are amazing leaders and I felt completely at home while being across the world. My accommodation was very nice and all of the social events that the group planned for us were exciting and educational. I made many memories and even more lifelong friends!
I spent six weeks interning in Dublin through The Intern Group, and it was absolutely amazing! The program was thoughtfully organized, and my program coordinators always went the extra mile to make sure we had the best experience. The cultural immersion aspect was especially important to me, and they exceeded every expectation - we visited The Cliffs of Moher, the Guinness Storehouse, and many more amazing activities! It was one of the best experiences, and I think doing my program through The Intern Group allowed me to have the best internship possible. I would definitely recommend TIG to anyone wanting to do an international internship!
A year ago at the time of my internship, in May 2020 when the UK was in complete lockdown and all the companies had paused their recruitment process, I was super worried and that's when I found The Intern Group. I was worried about the scams but built my confidence after speaking to their staff. They guided me through each and every step. Firstly I had my pre-enhancement sessions to prepare myself for the companies. Communication was so easy that I used to have 2-3 calls a week where I used to ask all my doubts and they patiently looked after all my concerns. Then I got a list of companies to choose from as per my preference. Later on, when I got the interview call from a company, they helped me with the interview process. The counselor who was guiding me used to take my mock interviews via zoom which raised my confidence level. and Finally, I got the offer from the very first company I chose for the interview as a Human Resources Intern. Moreover, they kept on sending me emails for Career Advancement courses which can award me with certificates and badges that can be added to my LinkedIn and CV and can be helpful for my future jobs. Not only this, they are still having many career counseling sessions and interviews with me even though I have completed my internship now, and to be honest, it's actually helping me to make my way more clear and easy. I'm so glad that I found The Intern Group during my hard times when all the options were closed. I would like to thank all of The Intern Group team and wish the company the Best of luck!!
Having such a virtual internship experience really enhanced my employability skills. I enjoyed working with other full-time colleagues as a team in the company. During the internship, I learned more and gained practical experience relating to my majors. I was grateful to have this opportunity.
My time with The Intern Group in Madrid, Spain was truly something special. During my internship, I learned practical knowledge about recruitment and selection on a global scale, which is invaluable to me as I begin my HR career. My favorite part about my time in Madrid was definitely the meals. Not only were they always delicious (how can you beat tapas!?) but this was also the time when I got to share and compare experiences with my fellow interns and coworkers. I highly recommend this internship program to those looking to step out of their comfort zone and acquire experience in their field along with a more global perspective!
Back in October 2020, I applied for an internship in Tokyo for the summer of 2021. During my interview, I specifically asked what would happen in the case that the pandemic will prevent me from traveling, and was assured that in that scenario I would be reimbursed in full. Since there's still a travel ban to Japan, I emailed TIG and asked for a refund. They refused, and said that according to their policy I will have "a lifetime credit", which is a euphemism for "we gonna hold on to your $3,500 even though we are not providing you any service and promised you a refund." The worst part is that this is not even my money. I was awarded a scholarship to fund the internship, and now that I cannot travel, I need to pay it back out of my pocket. It is shameful that a company that allegedly aims to help students takes advantage of them, especially in days of financial hardship. Due to the TIG's reply below, it is important to mention that back in October there was no such banner in the website. Furthermore, not only that "the lifetime credit policy" was never mentioned, the interviewer misled me to believe that if travel won't be feasible then I will be reimbursed. I have no interest in postponing the program because next year I'll be graduating and applying for real jobs. As per the other option, I didn't pay thousands of dollars to do a virtual internship. The bottom line is that TIG misled me, and continues to unjustly hold on to my funds.
I wanted to talk about the refund policy here. I was thinking of doing an Internship since late 2019 after I got my IT qualifications and was planning to start in April 2020 since than as we all aware an awful pandemic took place which cause a lot of downfall and unfortunate deaths. Mentally and financially I was at a very dark place in my life so the internship was really on my mind as I was losing people that were close to me so I decided to withdraw from this internship and completely focus on other stuff but since I paid for £800 deposit I asked for my refund and the intern group refused. Before the pandemic started I was finically stable but since than it’s been very rocky and the deposit would help out with a lot of stuff but they’re holding my money for no reason and gave me a lifetime credit which I can transfer to whom I want and that was the only option I was giver so whoever wants the credit and wants to start their internship please message me and we can work out a deal I’ll even take £700 if I have to.
If I could give zero stars I would. I can’t describe my frustration with this company. I signed up over a year ago to do an in person internship in Toronto Canada, I live in Sydney Australia. I paid the deposit, which at the time was a lot of money because I was a student studying and working part time. Covid hit and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to go overseas. I immediately explained my situation about how I wanted to do an in person internship only and that I had no use for a life time credit, regardless of whether you can transfer it to someone else. I have no friends or siblings interested - trust me I have tried. The programs costs are sky high and nothing is even guaranteed. Not only this, they keep reaching out to me and ask me to pay the next deposit, even though I’ve told them multiple times I’m only interested in an in person internship at the time I had applied. I am now working full time in a great job in Sydney - have ZERO interest in a remote internship for 3000$.. and have no one to give a lifetime credit too. This company has taken my hard working money and has done absolutely nothing for me, it’s disgusting. I’ve also read, they threaten with legal actions if you speak online but little do they know I’m already taking legal action! Please don’t use this company - someone will believe in you somewhere. You don’t need to pay 7000$ to work!
If you are looking for an experience that’ll change your life in the best possible way this is it! My experience with the intern group was nothing short of sensational it exceeded all my expectations. It was well organised, great value for money, included clean and safe accommodation. Paul was my allocated community manager during my time in Dublin. He worked hard to ensure everyone was having a great time and made sure we made the best of each experience. He made the experience run smoothly and was great at welcoming me and getting the group of interns comfortable in our new surroundings. It wouldn’t have been the same without Paul. I would say if you’re even remotely thinking about doing this you definitely need to give it a go it’s an unforgettable experience with the added perk of dazzling your future employer! Learning skills in a job overseas that you won’t learn in university and make friends with incredible people from all over the world. 12/10 you absolutely must do this!
I went abroad to Dublin with the Intern Group in 2019. I had the most amazing experience. My internship placement was wonderful, the outings and the program itself was engaging and fun, and I made the most amazing friends. Paul Lynskey is a true gem! He made my time in Dublin so much better. He truly created a little family with the other people on my program and we all continue to keep in touch.

Oct 04,2021The Internship Group Provided a unique, virtual, international experience for me during the pandemic, where many other programs failed to adapt. Their staff was always alert and supportive, making the placement process one of the most interesting professional experience I've had to date. My partner organization, which I was placed in with the help of the staff, was very welcoming and taught me many skills like organization, precision of language, and communication.
