I participated in the Dublin internship from January 2019 to March 2019. I enjoyed my time from start to finish and am happy I participated. The team was great, housing was central, the cultural elements were great and overall my the experience was a very positive one. My internship was within digital marketing, and it gave me experiences and knowledge that have carried over and advanced my career. Overall it was a great experience and a decision I would make again looking back.

The Intern Group was one of the most memorable experiences of my life . Having Paul as our mentor and guide for Ireland and education needs was amazing. He had great communication skills , his personality is warm and loving . He made me feel safe and pushed me as well to explore new limits of travel . I wish I could do it again. Overall i recommended the International Intern Group to every college student. Also to have Paul as there guide. Five stars !!

I was part of TIG in 2017. Each time i recall it, I want to go back. The given attention and care was great, i always felt confortable speaking of my interests and experience with TIG manager. The internship y participated in was very accurate for my profile, I learned a lot and met wonderful people. This is an opportunity that has to be taken if available, it grants you such tools and skills for life. I am vert grateful.

This is a second review that I write for my experience in Madrid with TIG. I have been looking through all the pictures in the last few days from my time in Madrid and I can assure you it was the best time of my life. I learned so much about the city and the culture, that I would not change a thing! This is a MUST in your life and cant miss the opportunity to go to the intern group in Madrid! I will hopefully go back soon.

This is the second review I write since my internship in Madrid in 2017! I felt compelled to come back here to thank TIG once more because of the wonderful things that have happened to me since then. My internship in Madrid has opened numerous doors for me and has added an « international touch » to my resume, which is highly regarded by employers. I was able to enhance my cultural intelligence and meet new friends (we are still in touch until today !). I would like to reiterate my thanks to the entire TIG team in Spain for their professionalism and passion for what they do. Thank you for the positive impact you’ve had in my life. Un abrazo !

The whole experience overall was fantastic. It was amazing to be able to spend time and work in a different country and to be able to enjoy it with like-minded people from all around the globe. The Intern Group were very accommodating with organising my program and helped me find an internship that suited me, and i never once felt out of place during my time in Dublin. John and Paul are amazing guys and did a fantastic job in making sure that i had a brilliant time and always felt comfortable and settled. I would thoroughly recommend this program to any student or worker that is looking to gain valuable experience while also having a blast exploring that amazing city of Dublin.

I'm in my first month of my virtual internship, due to COVID I had to delay going to University and my tutor mentioned doing an internship with my "gap year" after some research I came across The Intern Group. The communication and feedback I have received from TIG so far has been great. The Career Advancement training is very good. I'm looking forward to getting more stuck in with my Art and Design Internship and hoping to learn a lot from this. The virtual events and networking are great to make friends as it can be a lonely time in this ever changing world of COVID and it's great to be able to make new friends and learn about why they have decided to intern and about their cultures and background. So far I've had a positive experience and would recommend TIG. I am hoping to do a internship with them in Toronto in the later 2021. Thank you TIG!

This trip turned out to be one of my favorite times in my life! Even though there were restrictions due to COVID I thoroughly enjoyed the months I spent in Dublin. The internship I got taught me so much in terms of the professional world and it provided me with skills that I will carry with me throughout life. I also made so many friends, even though I didn’t expect to, and I can honestly say the people who work for the program are so helpful and friendly, which made things so easy. This program really helped me have one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Internship in Melbourne was amazing. The Intern Group arranged a lot of activities making the intern felt as Australian. Entrance to the Australian Open was complementary to the interns, so the interns could feel the atmosphere of the classic, world class, and legendary tennis tournament. What a great experience!!

It has been a true pleasure to be part of the program. I decided to stay 6 months in Thailand and had constant support from the Bangkok team. I can honestly say that not only I received top notch training and mentoring during my stay but also a full immersion on cultural activities and social aspects, which was what I was looking forward to the most! I truly believe I couldn't have chosen a better destination and have developed long lasting relationships both from a personal and professional perspective. A big thank you to the whole team that supported me during this experience and helped me understand the core values and traditions of the Thai society! I came back from the trip as a new person with a fresh perspective on the Asian continent and am focusing on going back as soon as possible during my career!

My experience with The Intern Group was that of amazing! The coordinators really try their best in giving you (the intern) a cultural experience, you just have to be apart of it (you did pay for it), so take advantage of it. Japan in itself is amazing to explore whether you go by yourself, with your fellow interns, or with friends you make along the way. The events that the coordinators planned were great and makes it easy to get to know your fellow interns. Most of the events were either on weekends or after work. Working in a different country with different cultural beliefs, language and work ethic taught me to be adaptable and flexible. In terms of the internship, you have to make it your own, it is a full-time job, so be professional about it. Nonetheless I would do this again in a heartbeat, with the addition of having a place to my own rather than sharing a space. This is more of a personal preference or would of loved to know a little bit of potential roommates, rather than randomly being given one. My only suggestion wild be; if the intern group could somehow implement a way to match roommates based on likes and dislikes, I believe that would create a unique experience for future interns.

I had a wonderful experience with the Intern Group. After receiving my bachelors degree, I hadn't figured out a life plan (and still haven't). But during my junior year, I studied abroad in London and knew I wanted to go back for longer. So I applied with the Intern Group and spent 6 months doing copywriting and some design work at a start-up recruitment agency. I absolutely loved my time at the company. Everyone was supportive and welcoming. I was able to contribute to social media posts, blogs, and other creative tasks. I miss my colleagues and my work every day. It was a great step for me after graduation and I do recommend this for anyone who wants to learn more, travel, and meet new people. The Intern Group helped make the transition a little easier with orientation activities and other fun outings around the city. For anyone who chooses to do the program, I suggest making the effort to connect with people within the program and colleagues as well. Living somewhere new is always better with some support! To conclude, I really see the value in this internship program and hope to meet my friends again soon!

My experience was much better than I expected, and I expected a lot. I had just completed my Bachelors degree and although I was interested in doing my Master’s I knew I wanted a break in between, and I knew that I wanted to gain some valuable work experience. My degree was in economics and political science- and my goal was to eventually work in government: something to do with finance and development- therefore I was hoping the Interngroup could assist me in working within the finance area. After completing an initial interview with the Interngroup, followed by an interview at a consulting firm in Hong Kong, I was ready to embark on my adventure. Hong Kong blew my mind, and I have returned numerous times ever since. My work experience was obviously nothing like academia and has taught an incredible amount. Everything from cryptocurrency, investment, business development, technology... etc. And most importantly I had so much fun doing this. After work the interns and I would enjoy amazing food, the beautiful city with so many things to do! I will never forget the memories, the friends, the tours and trips, and the experiences I had! Upon returning to Canada, I completed my Master’s degree, and despite graduating in 2020 in a recession, I found a job in the government (department responsible for investment) very quickly. It is a perfect mix of business and government right in the heart of Canada’s capital. When I asked my boss why he hired me: he told me he needed someone with a Master’s degree and someone with international business experience. The most valuable on my resume was working for the consulting firm in Hong Kong. Not only was it one of the best times in my life, but it also helped me land my dream job. Highly highly recommend with all my heart.

Madrid is an amazing city, you will find always something different to do. Spanish people are warm and polite, they will always help you if you have any problem. I call Madrid the American country of Europe because I really felt like at home. My work experience was amazing, I worked at Wayra, the Telefónica's startup accelerator. Basically, they help entrepreneur with mentoring, networking, meetings with investors, financing, and workplace (which is super inspiring). I was sitting next to the country manager and the Wayra team, that made me feel part of them. What I enjoyed the most were the peer reviews, meetings between the startups where they share ideas, opportunities and point of views (about their weakness and strengths). I learnt a lot with them and about them, I made a lot of good friends and some of them are the CEO`s of successful companies. At the office, I met people from Spain, USA, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Germany, France, Egypt, Italy and México. This internship helped me to discover my passion for technology and startups. The intern group team was very kind, they were like my familia madrileña, they were always there to support me and to ensure that my experience is one that I would never forget. They organized social events throughout my stay; at these events I met the other interns, those guys made me enjoy Madrid more besides now I have a lot of friends around the world. I can´t wait to go back!

I took this program twice, before and after graduation. In my experience, participating as an intern with them is best after you finish your university studies. This way, you get the full international internship experience without having to report back to your school. Also, everyone's experience in the program varies with some luck. My first time I had to cross all London, from zone 2 in Southeast to zone 5 in North West, with a commute of at least an hour and a half. The second, my job was at was an office located in the commercial heart of the city, oxford circus; a commute of 15 minutes (i was very happy and had zero complaints hahaha). Your time in the program also depends on the friends you make along the way, which is why you have to be very open in meeting new people every month (and saying goodbye too). There were introductory meetings monthly that you should attend to, especially if you are doing a program of more than 2 months! A word of advice, get along with the team from The Intern Group. They are very nice! It's fun to have people your age coordinating the events. Mel (and sometimes Thom) was the experience coordinator my second time and she always made sure everyone was having a good time! She is full of recommendations, not only of the city but for everything in Europe; perfect for those weekend getaways to Scotland or even Italy. Don't be afraid to ask! Housing can Improve, some houses have problems with either housemates or rats (duh, it's London...). Location is good, except if you are placed far from everyone in the program (I had to take a 20 min bus to meet everyone at their local spot) so be sure to mention to them your desire to change accommodation! They can arrange that in no time if there's availability. I do have to say my program was cut short due to Covid, which I understand the chaos with the interns leaving since it is an unprecedented situation we all are. With pricing, I believe it can be a bit cheaper now (just before covid), especially if the transport fees are no longer included.

I did an internship in London in the field of fashion. From the beginning on TIG helped me finding the perfect fit for myself and made it possible for me to work in an unique start-up. In this internship I made unbelievable important connections in the field of fashion, which also made it possible for me to now work in this field. My whole company saw me as a real coworker and I was a big part of it. But also in my private life in London the Intern Group made sure everythings good. Mel and Thomas were available 24/7 for every problem and helped us with all of the smaller and bigger problems we got in. Especially Mel made sure no one feels alone with her weekly meet-ups on thursday evening. Through this everyone found friends and all of the participants knew each other. She is an experience coordinator but also a friend at the same time for all of us. I would recommend this programm for everyone who pants to make a step forward professionally but also personally.

The Intern Group found a perfect internship for me which helped me to gain experience in the industry. I did the 12 weeks program as a Marketing intern. It was my first real work experience and my host organization was welcoming and very inclusive, and the work was interesting and educational. For the better, I never felt like a student treated as a lesser. I was an employee and expected to know my company and how to work proficiently. Madrid is a phenomenal place, there was an abundance of places to visit and things to do. I never got bored, and I really enjoyed practising my Spanish. There were a million things which I didn't get to see/do, so I'll definitely be back again.  The Madrid team genuinely care and you will come out a more knowledgeable/experienced worker and person in general! I would recommend it to anybody who wants to explore the Spanish culture and develop their career.  I highly recommend the Intern Group!
