I have been travelling to India for over 15 years and have always used Trans Indus who never disappoint. From making useful suggestions re air travel, interesting places to stay and many other suggestions that make each journey memorable and safe. Hari and the team always reponse promptly to emails and have unfailing patience in sorting out any outstanding queries or concerns.
We were recommended Transindus by a friend who had previosuly used them and we were delighted. We visited Delhi, Agra, Taj Mahal, Jaipur then flew to Kerala for an exciting 3 week trip. Everything went to plan, with transport and guides in the correct places when needed, who were informative and helpful. Yes some days involve travel but we knew that beforehand and we will definately use them again when we next visit beautiful INDIA Brijesh Sarsar was brilliant at building our ideal trip and kept us well informed along the way
I have used TransIndus on a number of occasions and have always found them extremely, approachable, helpful and knowledgable with a big shout out to Agomoni who has just arranged my latest booking. This booking was challenging, it was a late booking with many different locations and specific requirements. Nothing was to much trouble she always greeted me warmly with a nothing is to much trouble attitude no matter what time of the day I rang. I do realise there was also a team of other people working behind the scenes helping her and together they created the perfect trip. I can honestly say that this trip exceeded my expectation and this would have not been the case without Agomoni and Transindus help Thank You
Re: Rajasthan Land of Kings tour We returned in December from this tour having used Transindus before and been happy with them. The sales and support team members are good. This tour involves days of very long drives with few stops and there is little chance of rest. The first free day is in the middle of the second week . It was an exhausting trip. Also, some of the hotels are not of a standard expected and definitely need updating. We have waited a long time for a response to issues raised from Transindus and have been generally disappointed with the lack of reflection. We have now been offered a goodwill gesture of £200 but TI hoped and expected us to remove this review so it has been turned down .
Simply the best Agent for Asia bar none. I say this with some reverence having visted over 120 countries. I have used Transindus for Nepal Thailand Vietnam Laos and recently Cambodia. Fantastic. Wonderful local people. The choices of hotels were bang on target. You want to remove the stress of chasing your itinerary? Transindus are unparalleled.
Having travelled with TransIndus to Uzbekistan last year it was a no brainer to ask them to organise this year's trip to Nepal. As previously, Hari was very responsive at the planning stage to our requests for upgraded hotels and came up with some tremendous places for us to stay. The ground arrangements all worked flawlessly and we had a lovely holiday. What could be improved? Well, if TransIndus could arrange for the excessively bumpy roads to be sorted out, please . . . . .
Well organised trip to Uzbekistan. Transindus were always easy to contact and Hari was always prompt to reply to queries. Guides in each city were excellent, all went according to plan. Hotels in Bokhara and Khiva were very central to the old cities. I'm coeliac, the airline was notified and the guides were able to ensure my meals were safe. Even the driver who spoke little English and had sole responsibility for us on 2 long drives, ensured my lunch meals were safe.
We have been very lucky to have travelled to many incredible countries worldwide, but we can both honestly say that our Transindus trip to India far surpasses all others. It was quite extraordinary – the colours, the friendliness and warmth shown by everyone we met, the food, the forts, the hotels, the service and of course the crazy, noisy chaos of the cities. We have never experienced the support and organisation provided by the many agents of Transindus – from the moment we landed in Delhi we were greeted, were advised, were introduced to our drivers and handed over to the incredible guides whose knowledge, pride of their cities and experience in avoiding the crowds and finding the best positions was so valuable. When finishing a part of the tour of a fort or city, there was our air-conditioned, luxury minibus as a safe haven to move us on to our next adventure. Everything worked like clockwork, so meticulously planned – oh apart from a minor problem when we arrived at our final hotel where the receptionist could not find our booking. Were we concerned? Not in the slightest. The Transindus agent spent time on the phone at reception while we went to have gin and tonics in the bar, and then miraculously all was sorted, as we were handed our keys.
Our fourth private tour with Transindus. As ever, utterly reliable and efficient with excellent backup. We have never had a problem. They go the extra mile and operate seamlessly with their agents and guides on the ground. We had to curtail holiday due to bereavement. Return arrangements we sorted within hours. Highest possible recommendation. Thank you Hari and team.
All our guides were encyclopedic in their knowledge of the locations that they covered and were keen to answer questions, discuss matters to do with religion and philosophy and recommend further reading, That al of this was graced with humour and buckets of charm is much to their credit. We feel that we ought to give special mention to Lilu our driver for ten days and our new loyal friend. He was punctual to a moment, never seems to be fazed, kept scrupulously to the company driving etiquette and was always keen to point out matters of interest as we glided around Rajastan. We were left convinced than we had seen more of the country through his interest that others are likely to. A Our delight at being in India was significantly contributed to Lilu's kindness and attention.
Just a short note to thank Hari once again, for his terrific support in arranging and re-arranging our trip to central India. He is an absolute credit to TransIndus and the travel industry. David and Rowena
Our first experience of TransIndus and we took the plunge to visit Sri Lanka “Off the Beaten Track”. Hari was superb. Very efficient. Dealing patiently with a couple of changes to the itinerary and ensuring dietary needs at each hotel were catered for. One of the best holidays ever and already planning next year, as well as looking at other TransIndus destinations. So pleased to have discovered this company - and Hari.
We travelled to North-East India, specifically Arunachal Pradesh and Tawang Monastery, in October 2019 with TransIndus for a 14-day trip. We've had several holidays with Transindus before and we've always rated them quite highly. The total cost of our trip was just over £5k per person, factoring in an upgrade to Premium Economy for our international flights. There's a lot of travelling on this tour, international and domestic flying, and an awful lot of driving. We knew about the driving because we'd read through the itinerary in some detail, but had no idea the mountain roads in this part of the world would be in such awful condition. Basically, the weather in Winter destroys large parts of the roads leading through the mountain pass to Tawang, and the rest of the year is spent putting them back into some semblance of order. Wish we'd been aware of that that before we booked - hanging onto a grab handle for 8-hour drives wasn't quite what we were expecting. No 4-wheel drive vehicle either. We were in a rarely visited part of India (lots of Indian tourists but we only saw one other group of Westerners). We ate lunch at roadside places every day when we were driving and this was included in the holiday costs - the daily thali was ok, if a bit samey after a while and all the places we ate in were basic, with prices to match. Hotels were, in general, underwhelming - reliable hot water was the exception rather than the rule and we had to ask for portable heaters in our chilly rooms. We were prepared for the fact that as we were in one of the most remote parts of the world we weren't going to get Western standards, but we were surprised that we'd paid so much money - definitely Western prices. I asked TransIndus what aspects of the holiday had cost so much, given that we were in one of the most inexpensive parts of India. I was told that 'the challenges and costs of setting up and operating accommodation, transportation and guiding services here far outweigh the same in more accessible parts of India, rendering them much more expensive despite the compromised standards.' I didn't quite understand how it could be so difficult (or costly) in view of the availability worldwide of the internet and mobile phones, even in Tawang. We were offered a case of speciality wine as a recompense but we declined the offer. I hope that future itineraries to Arunachal and Tawang Monastery will contain more information about the high possibility of the mountain roads being in a bad condition and the arduous nature of the very long drives. A mention should also be made of the basic standard of some of the hotels, including the scarcity of reliable hot water in a large number of them.
We couldn't say enough to express our appreciation for the excellent service received from the TransIndus team. We had previously happily planned trips with them to Vietnam/Cambodia and to Thailand. Most recently, a 3 week trip through South India personalising a Small Group Tour allowing extra days in Chennai to enjoy the passion of an IPL Cricket game. Hari Daggubaty's service support was 'other worldly' as he very patiently dealt with about 4 changes to our overall Itinerary in response to changes by the Indians to their IPL Cricket Schedule. Sadly, we had to cancel our Tour a week prior to scheduled deparure as the drama of COVID-19 unfolded here and in India. He was then there again to assist patiently with a successful financial recovery for us in these unprecedented circumstances. Thanks Hari for your Suberb & Unmatchable Service. We will be back!
We have just returned from India for a week organised by TransIndus and their service was amazing everything worked like clockwork. The guides were very knowledgeable and spoke great English. Our driver was the best, he very kindly took our cases with him from Delhi to Agra so that we didn't have to haul them on the train, they were very heavy. I would have no hesitation in recommending TransIndus to organise your trip.
Well organised holiday from start to finish. Alain was very knowledgable and tailored our trip to suit our needs. Great range of hotels and home stays which enabled us to have a great India experience. Guides and drivers were great and we were supported at all stages as we travelled. Throughly recommended.
Good evening Hari I’ve sent you a detailed review about 10 days ago. Pls let me know if you didn’t get it. Best regards Beatrice
I have already done a review, almost as soon as you first invited me to. This is at least the third "reminder" to complete it that I have had and it is becoming tiresome.
Fantastic company that provides both tailor-made holidays and small group tours. Very knowledgeable staff who really know their destinations and prepare detailed itineraries. Efficient and thorough organisation beforehand ensures a smooth, trouble-free holiday, where clients feel cared for at all times. We have travelled with TransIndus to both India and Vietnam so far and we can't wait for our next adventure!

Feb 16,2025I have just returned home from a very enjoyable holiday in Karnataka , South India, arranged for me by TransIndus. I gave them a "wish list" of the places I wanted to visit ( Bangalore, Mysore, Shravanabelagola , Halebid and Hampi) and they put together a well thought through itinerary , which covered all the places I planed to see , plus some extra things which I would not have known about. All the arrangements were carried out to the letter, with no delays or hitches, and the local TransIndus representatives were so helpful and friendly. This all added up to a most enjoyable, stress free and stimulating holiday, for which I am very grateful.
