Feb 14,2024I started the immigration process with UIS. After a brief and friendly phone call, they explained the process to me. The first step is to find out the visa options. For this we had to give comprehensive insights on our monthly income, our net worth and how much money, work experience, education, etc. we have. This evaluation cost 349€ / 325 CAD. The payment had to be done during the phone call. We did it in order to have a better overview for visa options for the both of us. They sent it to us via email within 2 work days. Next, you will receive a consultation call with one of their RCICs (regulation Canadian immigration consultants), who will guide you through the evaluation. To find out the visas you're eligible for, they asked for immediate payment of 3000€! If I would not do the payment immediately, they would delete my application and delete everything permanently. If I then want to continue at some point, I would have to go through the whole process again and they would have to ask for the beginning fee again. I do not trust companies, who put a gun to my head DURING a call! Especially, if they are trying to get even more money out of it and "threatening me" to delete everything. When I asked how much it would cost to apply on my own, the sole answer was "less, but you might make mistakes and for that you need representatives like us". Well, luckily I do have English native speaking friends who review everything I do, but I did not appreciate the way I was treated at all. I will now do the application on my own.
