Writing this just having started up my new (2nd hand) laptop for the first time, so fingers crossed it's OK. Still fully to test al of its ports, but it seems fine: though it's a good job that I have some computer abilities as it was sent without the time or date set right and I had to be able to go into the set up screens and sort that out (and a few other bios type things). On a refurbished machine I would have expected that to have been set before it was sent out. Good things - they seemed knowledgeable, helpful and happy to talk over the phone before I ordered. Hopefully they will answer the phone and help if there are any issues going forward: which is a rare thing these days. The product was reasonably cheap (though for a significantly old used laptop - hmmm...???), given that there is a 6m guarantee, and I got a new aftermarket power supply, new cmos batteries and new aftermarket laptop battery. The item that arrived was very well packaged and looked in very nice condition and booted up straight away. Odd things - the laptop aftermarket battery arrived separately several days after the computer, without any notification or explanation even of what it was for. I wasn't in a panic to get the computer up and running, so fortunately this wasn't a problem for me and I could set it up on mains to start with (in fact I didn't actually realise that it had been sent out without a battery, as I'm used to working on mains only) - but why not send them together? Bad things - took an age to get it delivered after paying for it online (and paying for the p&p separately as well). OK, it took about a week and a half - but if your computer's gone down and you need another one quickly then that's a very long time to wait, and these days people expect pretty much 48 hour delivery at the longest from E Bay and other online sellers. For the p&p price paid I would have expected 48 hour delivery. It was therefore way too long between order and receipt. I ended up chasing them twice and each time got told it had gone out that day (which was on 2 different days). Hopefully that's the only real downside; so far otherwise I'm pleased with what I received.

Purchased another laptop as a cheap one that would give me a UK keyboard that would give me the backslash key . What a lovely little laptop it turns out to be. Am so pleased with it that am now using it as my main computer. This Dell Latitude D630 at a very cheap price was a surprise in such clean condition and has so many inputs . Would recommend Val-U-Computers for the supply of such a bargain computer.

I purchased this because my other PC failed to operate mainly due to the power supply failing so I found out. However, I ordered a refurbished computer from Val-U Computers in the UK, the order was placed on Tuesday and arrived on Friday of the same week from UK to France in 3 days.. despite the delivery charge being £30.00 I was very impressed with that level of service and was well worth it.! Once unpacked, and examined the PC, I checked it out. The casing of the PC has NO visible signs of wear or scratches /damage and looked almost in New condition. On opening the PC, the inside was almost like new also, the keyboard showed no signs of visible wear or fading of character's.The screen was clean and had no signs of pixels missing.On the underside of the casing there were a few signs of wear as expected but no dents/scratches/damage. All in all the computer was exactly as advertised and the extras I ordered were installed with everything working correctly and ready to go. I could carry on with a more detailed review but this would sound as if I was an engineer for Val-U Computers, which I can assure you I am not. Am I satisfied with my purchase.1000% so far, and would not hesitate to highly recommend VAL-U Computers for their products and service. Would I buy from them again...Most Definitely, in fact before ever buying a brand new PC again I would check out VAL-U Computers, and buy a refurbished one. Don't just take my word for it check them out for yourselves, you will not be disappointed, THANK YOU VAL-U Computers for your fantastic service and wish you great success in your business!!

I ordered a 3.3ghz processor pc but got a 2.6 ghz. I have so far returned item via Royal Mail recorded and paid £20 plus I return it. The item plus delivery cost me about £304. Something . Waited a week for a refund and response but none came. Highlighted this on PayPal and refused refund as item not as described. Rang them up today and got an apology but refund still not forthcoming so am disappointed to have to chase up my money and the product is in their possession as returned as they signed for it.. So would not buy from them ever again!! My money still is not been returned or response to confirm receipt of item but lucky for me I had returned via recorded delivery so taking this further now as can’t seem to get my money when they it’s a simple refund as they sold me item which was not as described. This seller over cloaked the pc of 2.6ghz and no I want a full refund of £304.94 not what you have offered plus the return fee of £26.60 Royal Mail. And no it is not Intel who are to blame as processor was over cloaked by yourselves. As for PayPal please pay the full amount either 331.54 or please the original payment of £304.94 which was for item plus vat plus delivery charge. So waiting patiently for your response via PayPal. I have included the reference number via Royal Mail . Talk about unprofessional behaviour!! Please I will deal with you via PayPal and if push comes to shove will escalate it further!!!

Needed a laptop with XP to run an old drawing programme and these guys came up trumps. Apart from some minor marks on the outside the laptop is virtually brand new quality/finish and excellent value.

Stormingly good. Wish I'd found these people sooner. I've bought two laptops from Valucomputers over the last 6 months. Both in immaculate condition - grade A. I didn't need this, but appreciate it. Postage was a breeze and they arrived sooner than anticipated. They made a professional follow up call to check everything was ok a few days after I had had time to soak test the latest one - thanks guys. I can't comment on their response to issues as I haven't had any. Nice one chaps.

As good as they claim. Only business I've ever asked a question by email and got a reply literally in the same minute. Despatch was delayed one day due to finding faulty battery and waiting for replacement to arrive. Was promised would arrive next day and it did: within the 1 hour timeslot promised. Dell computer looks like new and works accordingly. Can honestly say this is the most efficient firm I have ever dealt with - both for service and value for money. Will never waste money buying a new laptop again from anyone else.

Second time I have bought a laptop from them. There was a delay in sending out the laptop I had ordered, I emailed to enquire about delay and it was because I had ordered an additional dvd drive which they did not have in stock. Sam, from customer service explained and it arrived a few days later. Very impressed with laptop, will definitely use them again.
