Decent price and computer OK but paperwork leaves something to be desired. There was no obvious sign of the installation key. Not in the paper work and not visible on the machine. I emailed Val-U -Computers asking for it. I had no response so resorted to telephoning. I was advised to take out the battery and look there. I did so and there it was. Why that information was not included in the bumph that came with the machine I know not. Neither do I know why my email seeking the info was not responded to. On the telephone I suggested that perhaps the paperwork should direct people to the battery compartment but, frankly, I got the impression that the person I was talking to really was not at all interested in what I had to say and I seriously doubt that my comment would be passed on. I am left hoping I have no further reason to have to contact the company as I am apprehensive about what service I shall receive.

I was able to phone and confirm that my requirements could be satisfied and that stock was readily available for next day delivery. The staff were extremely helpful and talked me through the entire process. Delivery was prompt and as promised. The quality of goods and the service provided were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Val-U-Computers to anyone seeking good value and great service.

Well that was easy !! Ordered and received a refurbed i5 laptop with Win 7 pro and SSD. For a refurb it was in really great condition. Came extremely well packed. Very happy with Val-U-Computers. They did what they said they would do and it arrived the next day.

After my old laptop died on me I had some very old programmes that were useful to me, but would only work on an older 32 bit computer. I was able to source just such a laptop from Val-U-Computers at a very reasonable price. Delivery was very prompt and the laptop came with explanations and some pre loaded programmes. I loaded my old programmes in and hey presto I was up and running. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I ordered a laptop from Val-U-Computers a few weeks ago. After a couple of days the laptop stopped working properly (a strong smell of burning followed by inability to run it from the battery). To their credit, Val-U-Computers responded very promptly when I emailed them about it and promised to send a replacement out straight away, agreeing to pay for Saturday delivery as I work week days (I had paid £25 for the original weekend delivery). This would have been fine, but although I waited in on Saturday it turned out delivery had actually been scheduled for Monday. This was unfortunate as it had been specifically agreed to send it on a weekend, and the mistake meant delaying redelivery for a further week and a half until I could next be in, leaving me without a properly functional computer to work on. I have now finally received a replacement, and so far it seems to be working well (3 days in), although the fan can be slightly worryingly loud even if I have nothing running but a single internet tab. The whole experience wasn't wonderful, but on the whole response from V-U-C was prompt and willing to help, and I have ordered from them before without issue. Mishaps and mistakes do happen, and they did try to put it right. EDIT: This was 3 stars but I'm dropping it right down because this is honestly beyond a joke now. The replacement laptop I was sent has started switching off randomly, the laptop gets very hot and the fan is clearly working too hard. I made it nearly a month this time instead of 3 days, but this is still ridiculous.

so i got a computer 8 days after i ordered it. i asked in an email if i could have a different os to the one ordered ,( within 10 minutes) , i had no reply at any time. i had no communication at all until i received the computer not the one i wanted i think this customer relationship is quite frankly ..crap..ill not order from them again......
