I am speaking from experience here and a very large motorhome community in the uk I have seen many posts about the flash speed 1500 power bank it’s useless and stops working They will ignore you after a few messages I would avoid these save your hard earned money Check Facebook motorhome posts feed back
My experience has been horrible. The tracking link provided in an email after my purchase is a link to vtoman website which stated no updates yet and to check FedEx site for more information. I contacted FedEx and they told me that this tracking number doesn't exist in their system. I then contacted vtoman customer support for help and they advised that my packages were shipped via UPS. Unlike Amazon or Ebay, I was never sent a message that my packages had shipped, were out for delivery or had been delivered. I contacted my local police and filed a report that my packages had been stolen, and vtoman customer support is saying there is nothing they can do despite the gross negligence on their part of not notifying the customer.
VTOMAN fail to disclose that the way they have designed their extension batteries to charge/discharge, in conjunction with their powerstations, fundamentally damages both. When my powerstations and extension batteries arrived, I initially read the manual, which states that you should not charge the batteries over 90% or discharge them below 10%, because doing so damages them and reduces their operational lifespan (standard advice for Lithium Ion batteries). However, the way that VTOMAN have designed their powerstations to work with their extension batteries, is that the powerstation has to charge to 100% before the extension battery will begin to charge. Conversely, the extension battery will have to discharge to 0% before the powerstation begins to discharge. This means that there is no way to use their extension batteries, with their powerstations, in a way which does not damage both. Seeing as the extension batteries cannot be used without the powerstation, this forces you to use them in a way which damages them. I raised this concern with VTOMAN customer services and they have agreed, in writing, that this is a technical limitation in the design of their product. I asked for the extension batteries to be returned, because they are essentially useless to me (why would I want to use them and damage my powerstations, I might as well have just bought extra powerstations so I can charge/discharge them correctly). VTOMAN demanded that I pay the return shipping fee for the extension batteries. When I pointed out to them that failing to disclose this technical limitation, at the time of purchase, constitutes miss-selling under UK consumer protection law, and that this means that VTOMAN is responsible for the cost of return shipping, they ghosted me. Unfortunately, it is not worth the money to raise a legal matter against VTOMAN over this, so I am stuck with two useless extension batteries. I should have just bought Bluetti powerstations. VTOMAN are continuing to sell these extension batteries without disclosing this fundamental technical limitation, even though they are clearly aware of it. My advice to VTOMAN is to be honest with pepople and disclose this limitation on the product page. Many people would not buy these extension batteries if they were made aware of this limitation. This is your legal and ethical duty. Edit: In response to your reply, In your manual you state "When using the battery every day, it is recommended to charge the battery to about 90% when charging, and leave about 10% when discharging." This is standard advice for Lithium Ion batteries. For example, Fireboard state: "Complete charge cycles can deplete the life span of the battery. Generally, keep the battery charge between 20-80% before it drops to very low levels, and avoid a full charge. Full battery discharges should be avoided since they can reduce the long-term reliability of the battery as well as lead to capacity loss." In order to charge one of your extension batteries, the power station must be fully charged to 100%, thus forcing me to violate the recommended best practice (by both the industry and you specifically) and therefore harm the power station battery. In order for the power station to begin discharging, the extension battery will have to discharge to 0%, also forcing me to violate recommended best practice. This is an excerpt from communications I've had with you: "You raise a valid point - the user manual does clearly state the recommended practice of charging LiFePO4 batteries to around 90% and discharging to around 10% for everyday use, in order to maximize their lifespan. This is an industry best practice that we should absolutely be adhering to. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in my previous response, the design of the Flashspeed 1500 and extension battery does not allow for this manual control over the charging and discharging levels. The power station is programmed to charge the internal battery to 100%, and the extension battery will discharge to 0% when powering the Flashspeed 1500. So in this case, you are correct that using the two units together inherently risks the longevity of the batteries, as they are not being charged and discharged within the recommended 90-10% range. This is a limitation of the product design that we are unable to overcome with the current hardware and firmware." You should put the above statements on the product page of your extensions batteries, so people are fully aware of what they are buying Finally, I did not but from a third party; I bought directly from you!
I purchased the X1500 in Australia, and within just six months, it has become completely useless and won't charge at all. There was a burning smell and smoke coming from the battery, which nearly suffocated me I am frustrated about why this company included a manual and paper with the customer service email address in the package. I sent an email to Australian Customer Center a month ago, and I am still waiting for a response. While I can at least get in touch with the U.S. headquarters, it takes 3 to 5 days to receive a reply. And in the end, they ignore my contact because it's not their responsibility. I have been trying to resolve this issue for over a month now, yet there has been no resolution. I have searched all over Sydney and cannot find a single repair center. I regret spending $1000 on a product from a company that provides such poor after-sales service and customer support. This experience has been extremely disappointing.
all went well
I used my son in law’s vtoman during a power outage and ordered one the next day. Both came in less than 3 days and I told my other daughter to get then and she did. Very easy to use and kept tge refrigerator and freezer going until power came back on
Great quality, works as intended and solid packaging
I am going to start with - I believe my issue is with UPS, but I'm giving VTOMAN 1 star for USING UPS IN THE FIRST PLACE. WHAT CAN FEDEX DO FOR YOU? My order was delivered to the wrong address and I literally had to go meet the UPS guy 45 minutes away. Thank you Jody the UPS guy, for calling me, and thank you VTOMAN for including my cell number on the label. Now UPS - I'm not sure why, but they covered up the original mailing label from VTOMAN and put the completely wrong label/address on the box. 0 out of 10 UPS. I haven't even opened the box so I don't know how this item will review but I may update once I get it set up.
Never received my item!
I recieved my order as expected, but in 3 different delivery on 3 different dates. Made things a little difficult to make plans. Other than that, the product is exactly as described. It is plenty of power (jump 1800) for camping and any overnight power outages you may have. We had a fan, light, and small TV as well as both of our phones and the power pack still had a few hours left when we woke up. I can really give an accurate review on the solar panel. It was overcast and in 5 hours it only charged 2% so I'm thinking the second pack might be a great idea
Does anyone have any other contact details for this company other than the email address? I am getting zero feedback after sending numerous emails to them and NEED to contact them. I have asked for an order to be cancelled/refunded but they haven't replied
Hav’nt received it yet !? All is good. I received the Vtoman shortly after sending review! However, a proper review needs a little time to use the product to review it. Slow down to people’s time. My other Vtoman product is great!
Bought a 1500 flashspeed ent to use for the first time on Tuesday will not charge led blank so I have 575 pound paper weight not herd a thing from the company and bought from there uk site order number ukvt2275
UPDATE: manuel clearly states that there is is 2 year warranty on the unit. There is no information about registering this unit to get an extra year. Also, I NEVER mentioned having problems with my email, why are you lying? What a sad joke. I am done with VTOMAN. Customer service is one of the worst I have ever seen. My Flashspeed 1500 power station, bought a year ago, has a clear problem with its internal battery. Meter goes from 100% to 30% in no time using a 300w device. It behaves like a 150wh power station. Wrote several emails to the company, finally received an answer saying basically that the display isn’t always accurate and that the one year warranty on the power station is expired anyway. Problem is…the user’s manual states that there is a TWO YEAR warranty on the unit. I replied to their email with this information…never got an answer. Resent the email…no answer. VTOMAN won’t honor their warranty, my credit card won’t reimburse me because of the 2 year warranty…I now have a 1000$, 50lbs paperweight if someone is interested. Worst company ever. You have been warned.
There were problems with delivery and then there were problems with the unit. I gave negative reviews on amazon and than they tried to bribe me by offering my money back ....a free solar panel if I would change my review. Speaking to Amazon they told me not to change my review and they read the correspondence and issued me a refund that day. Than I later get an email from vtoman saying that they had delivered 2 replacement units and can I return them. I never received anything from them and told them as soon as they can send me photos showing delivery I will return the units I never received. Than later that day I get another email saying...all looked after. Don't worry about it. Definitely not a company I would ever deal with again.
Very good product.
I bought the 600 and the extra power pack and was impressed, then I bought the 1500 plus extra pack, they’d been fine whilst camping, Then the realisation hit me, they arn’t actually capable of charging your phone, I took issue with them about it and the reply, no they won’t charge a phone that wastes power, you can “force it to charge your phone if you also waste power by forcing it to do pointless work, for instance if you book a kettle and virtually deplete the battery it will charge your phone for the 3/4 minutes that the kettles on, but then it shuts down and no charge for your phone, disappointing, very disappointing, apparently it’s to stop the battery being wasted BUT having to run a high power product in order to convince this to charge your phone is frankly puss poor,
Very quick shipping and the Vtoman generator is working fine.
