DISGUSTING!! Greggs is soooo much better!! The sausage roll at Wenzel tastes like absolute rubbish with cheap fake meat tasting sausage in the sausage roll and much more expensive than Greggs! STAY AWAY go to Greggs!
Wenzel's white bread is the absolute best - far superior to Waitrose, even. The rest of the things they sell are par for the course, but the bread is truly exceptional. We'd live on it if we could!
Absolutely rubbish! & bad customer service! Southern fried chicken panini with cheese, however the main ingredient was barbecue sauce!!! Two little slivers of chicken and two ton of sauce, the server refused to exchange.. finished with this place. Wenzels. Hanwell . 3.15.monday 6/01/20 By the way the ingredients on the label are the wrong way round, you should have the mail ingredient i.e barbecue sauce in large print as apposed to southern fried chicken.
The worse Wenzels. There was barley beef in the Jamaican beef pate and the pastry was hard as rock to the point we couldn’t eat it. We paid 5£ for the 2 and still need to go somewhere to eat.
The best by far
Went into wenzels in kilburn high road. We ordered 4 sausage rolls and when we got home the assistant had only given us 2 but charged for 4. The sausage rolls were hard and I got the impression that they were left over from the day before. We also purchased 2 hot filled baguettes and when we opened the bags the fillings was stuck to the bags and half the filling came off and stuck in the bag, trying to get it all out just made a mess of cheese and paper. Maybe a piece of greaseproof over the baguette would help. Dont think I will be going back there. The assistant seemed more concerned with other things than filling our order.
I went into the St Albans Wenzels on North Oribital. I was appalled by the attitude of the Assistant Manager towards paying customers and her staff. Furthermore, I witnessed her get a few orders wrong and she did not apologise. She brushed it off as if it was nothing. Absolutely appalled.
The bread here is far fresher than other bread shops and there's always a good selection and the staff are very efficient excellent
Brilliant service from all the staff in Wenzels Greenford, always a pleasure to shop there, very attentive and helpful.
Best ever! Usually have the sandwich meal deal (with donut) and no matter what sandwich you have, its delicious. The donut is really tasty and fresh too. But today I had the tuna salad baguette as all the baguettes always look very nice. Was excellent. Really tasty (included cress too, nice touch). So that will be my meal deal from now! Lovely friendly staff too. Makes my lunch times that little bit special. (Top of the town near the pond in WATFORD shop).
I just want to give praise where praise is due. On each occasion I have visited the Wembley Central branch of Wenzel's, I have found Sarah to be most helpful and friendly, she pays attention to detail of product, 100% order accuracy. This is what I define as an example of sterling customer service where the bar has certainly risen. I can sincerely say that Sarah is an asset to the store.
The North finchley branch, keeps cakes for days, and they don't taste fresh, especially the vienesse fingers, but the service is good.
Used to be better. I will not mention quite miserable service which I have experienced for years (comparable to this in former soviet block countries during communist era) but at least was a good quality for price. But now unfortunately prices are getting increased which make me start to look somewhere else like supermarkets. And bags charge. Use paper ones if wanna stay green at customer cost to give us option and remember :bigger than your breads so it can fit and stay in. And why you have changed coffee machines if quality dropped down? Secret is beans and person making coffee not fancy equipment. Sausage rolls mostly very dry and again increased price. Shame.
Wenzel is a very small shop yet it is a very good shop. Yet, it is very good shop and in fierce competition with Gregg's as well as Auntie Anne's (despite me giving this shop a five star rating). Their prices are pretty decent and yet if you are looking for a snack (like a small pizza or even a small chocolate cake) then I think Gregg's and Wenzels are the right place to go. Another positive about Wenzel's is that they do sell fresh bread which is another good thing. Fresh brown bread is especially something that it is healthy and I enjoy having for breakfast at a very reasonable price, Furthermore another reason I enjoy going to Wenzel is due to the quality sandwiches they sell at a fair price. Normally on days that I am incline to having a pack lunch or I am at sports event in school for the next day I would definitely think of getting a sandwich from Wenzel's. Overall, their products are very good quality and yet at a very reasonable price which is a situation that everybody likes. One improvement to Wenzel's I would say is that they need space inside the actual restaurant. From my memory, I do not think that there is space to eat inside the side. Normally I do not really like eating outside whilst walking as I find bits slipping onto my attire and making it dirty which is not pleasant.
Delicious, although my only advise would be they bring out a winter coffee menu to match e.g. gingerbread latte etcc
Aylesbury branch is wonderful friendly staff and great food
