West Yorkshire Windows recently came to to put a problem right for me , they were quick and very considerate, they were prompt and cleaned up after themselves, I have no problem giving them 10/10 . Thank you boys it’s very hard to find decent workmen who actually care about their work . Thank you
I recently contacted WYW when I had a difficulty opening my door. Customer services were quick to identify the probable problem so, despite how busy the service team are, they managed to fit me in that day, for the quick adjustment the door needed. All the staff involved were very helpful and professional.
A few months ago we experienced a problem with our front door. An engineer was sent and a replacement door was ordered. The delay was due to manufacture supply but WYW kept us informed throughout. Richard came today and finished the replacement in about an hour and the new one fits even better than the original. Richard was fantastic. He was approachable, friendly and very professional. He cleaned up and did an overall wonderful job. As ever, WYW gave excellent service. Thank you so much. From Very Happy Customers
In February 2018 I made the appalling bad decision to employ this company to fit new windows and doors to our house. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing! Since the install 20+ return engineer visits later and a poorly handled complaint later I am left with what I deem to be a sub standard install. All windows cills fitted on the original install have some level of scratches or scuffs, yes they have buffed and polished them but they are not pristine as new windows should be. They offered to fit new cills but despite being told by their head of customer service they wouldn't need to this would involve all windows being taken out and re fitted. After the issues and quality of work from their engineers there was no way I was risking that as knowing them they would damage the windows taking them out and re fitting. I have had to compromise with them as I didn't want to be worse off after this work as I have zero trust in their workmanship. Customer service is in all honesty is non existent. You will see comments in their responses to reviews that they are improving how they handle complaints, they aren't at all. I submitted a complaint in February 2019, they have now seemingly closed that complaint (not mutually agreed I might add on my side) because they see it as resolved. I have on 3 occasions asked for their ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) procedure and been met with silence. Oh and a Head of Customer service who takes 3 weeks to respond to emails! At time of writing an email sent to the Head of Customer Service on 29/11/2021 remains unanswered, I assume they are not responding as they see the Complaint as resolved when for me it isn't, far from it. They deem nearly 4 years of stress, hassle and wasted days off for 20 engineer visits worthy of a £50 M and S voucher. This is just another example of the arrogance and incompetence of this company. I'm currently in discussion with Citizens advice on how to pursue this further. Every window has had work on it, be it faulty parts, punctured seals due to poor workmanship or poor fitting. I actively now say to family and friends and anyone I hear mentioning needing replacement windows to avoid West Yorkshire windows like the plague, I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. Ps if trust pilot gave me the option of a 0 out of 5 this Company would surely get it, shocking doesn't come close to describing them. A 1 out of 5 rating infers there is something endearing about their Customer service, products and quality of install when there isn't a single thing to compliment.
Great installation Teams. But comunication was average not answering e - mails on replys. Myself having to contact West Yorkshire windows. I would recommend but l would like the communication to improve for other Customers.
Once the work got under way , everything was fine . Each team that came out were brilliant. No issues at all with any of the work force . We had a small problem with the roof , but this was rectified straight away . Would reccomend to other people.
We requested a roof lantern fitting to our house and decided to use West Yorkshire Windows. Unfortunately it was a big mistake. 1) Measured the new lantern roof incorrectly so was the wrong size and could not be installed on the day! However the previous lantern had already been removed before they realised their mistake !! 2) Fitted a temporary replacement which leaked onto our oak flooring 10 days later. 3) No communication whatsoever after the original installation date to apologise and advise us when the correct sized lantern roof would be available 4) We contacted them after the above leak only after which did they respond. 5) No attempt to apologise or put right the leak damage. 6) Customer Service Manager Peter then lied by saying the company had tried to ring me in the 10 days between original fitting date and leakage date. These calls were never made as confirmed by Peter later. I am sure that the Customer Service Manager will provide a response however the above are all facts.
I really don't know how ANYONE can recommend this APPALLING cowboy outfit that advertises as a professional Window company, professional they are not. I highly advise anyone looking for windows, doors or a conservatory, to shop elsewhere and avoid West Yorkshire Windows at all cost (unless you want a poor service and shoddy workmanship). This review is a true reflection of the service we received after our Conservatory had been built. To read about the shambles they caused during the build and just after, see my previous review. In September 2021 a few months after completion of our Conservatory, we noticed a leak in the roof, letting water in every time it rained. We reported this to West Yorkshire Windows and after a couple of calls we had to make to chase them up, they eventually, grudgingly sent someone out to take a look. When the guy arrived and investigated the issue, he told us he would have to order a new part and come back. We were told this would take a couple of weeks. However, during this time, we had to constantly chase them up to see when this was going to be scheduled in, we made endless phone calls to a very rude receptionist as nobody else in the company would speak to us or offer any help. Eventually, they did schedule this to be fixed end of November 2021 but low and behold, a few days before the date, they called us and cancelled using delivery delays as an excuse and told us they would let us know a new date, however, again we had to keep chasing them. We were then eventually told it would be in December. They gave us a new date but again just before they were due to come out, they cancelled blaming it this time on staff shortages. We were then eventually given another date in late December, but to our disappointment, yes, they cancelled this again and told us it would now be January 2022 meaning we would have this leak over Christmas. When we called them to complain about this, we were dealt with by a very rude and obnoxious man called Peter Bowles who is their Head of Customer Service. He treat us with nothing but contempt as he had done throughout this whole terrible experience with this cowboy company. They did eventually come out and fix it in January 2022, 4 months after our initial call to report it. This company constantly Lie throughout the whole process from start to finish.
From the first contact at there show room to completion of my Bifold door fitting the service i received was first class. I was kept informed every step of the way.
Just had new French windows with integral blinds and a new front door by Colin and Robbie. Very friendly and helpful and all completed in day. Cleaned up afterwards and took everything away. Very professional.
Purchased a uPVC back door in 2019. A few days ago it seems the locking mechanism has slipped so that it’s difficult to unlock. Have been told that despite the guarantee we were given, locks/handles/mechanisms are only guaranteed for 12 months. I’m not sure beyond the frame falling apart what’s left for the 10/20 year guarantee to cover. Do your research before buying as we expected better service than this.
Dealing with WYW has been a pleasure. After a visit initially to the showroom and selection of our preferred profile and colour and after a few quotes we decided to place the order. Fairly quickly we had a home visit for final absolute measurements. Once the financials were sorted we had a pre Xmas fitting date. Phone calls prior to the fitting date were recieved with confirmation of timings for the two days. On fitting day, 3 fitters turned up. COLIN, ROBBIE and ARCHIE. They arrived on time and simply GOT ON with the job. They were polite, they were respectful of us and our home and as Robbie said " we'll do the job like we are doing it for our Mums" We had 8 windows fitted across 2 days and each one looks perfectly fitted AND no scaggs or damage to anything was caused by the three chaps above. These 3 are a credit to WYW and will be at least 75% of why we would recommend this company to you. The other 25% is the general 'feel' of dealing with the office, the ladies we spoke to were polite, helpful and easy to deal with. 100% recommended. Thank you WYW :-)
I am so pleased that I choose West Yorkshire Windows to replace all the windows in my home. The fitter Tony was hard working , meticulous and polite. His standard of finish was outstanding. In all my dealings with the office staff, they answered questions immediately, always phoned back quickly, were friendly and professional. Thank you.
The service from West Yorkshire windows was excellent. The initial assessment and design was professional and efficient and once the work began we were impressed with the levels of communication that happened behind the scenes to coordinate and line up all the different services. The builders, electrician, plumber, plasterer and fitter were all friendly, punctual and despite the expected mess of a demolition and rebuild left the site tidy and ready to use.
Overall I'm very happy with the outcome of my project. Great finish and detail to an Orangery to the rear of my property. Like everyone else this year struggles with material availability did delay the project but the quality was worth the wait. The Builders Kyle and his team where brilliant. The windows team where brilliant and good natured. The subcontractors for Electrics, plumbing, plastering and the finishing all spot on.
Mark Bentley, as always, professional and expert in his approach to solving problems and maintaining our conservatory and windows in good condition after 10 years! Thanks Mark!
Mark Bentley came to repair my door that had come loose. He arrived earlier than expected which was good. He also didn’t quite have the correct part needed so nipped back to get it and returned and my door was fixed very promptly.
Had a conservatory/extension built during COVID times in 2020. Mark was great in the Sales and his wasn't a pushy Salesman which sealed the deal really. During the installation process we were kept up to date with the schedule throughout (even though with several lockdowns this would have been very difficult to manage). The workmen on site we're courteous and a pleasure to deal with. The team in the office are good and communicate very well. Aftersales have been fantastic too! We had a couple of minor things once the extension had settled. WYW came straight out to look into them and are dealing with them as I type this review. I would definitely recommend WYW and will use them when i need new windows on the house.
We are writing to say how impressed we have been with West Yorkshire Windows. Nine years ago we had all windows and doors replaced. Our bathroom window has recently become marked because the seal was leaking. From calling in to fitting a replacement we were very courteously treated and there was at no point any hint of avoiding responsibility for the fault. The guarantee was honoured to the letter. I trust WYW.

Feb 17,2022Used this company to fit new upvc windows and doors.in total we had 6 cracked windows installed and one which was so badly damaged it wasnt installed.there was also multiple scuffs and scratches in the upvc frames. Even now 6 months later i am still awaiting repairs on the scuffs. I was then tricked in to signing the satisfactory notice. Which i thought i had the only one.turns out not. They then tried to claim the finance which i used to purchase.but after i reported this to the finance company and sent photos of my unsigned satisfactory notice they froze the finance. As stated earlier 6 months later i am still awaiting some minor repairs. Its your choice but i would never use this company again
