I ordered some limited edition coconut hot chocolate, sencha green tea and a mini caddie before the long weekend and managed to get free delivery over £20 which made me so happy. My delivery arrived a week later and I'm very happy about my order. The only thing is the parcel arrived before i received my tracking number. Whittard have the best Hot Chocolates :)
Even one star is too much for how Whittard of Chelsea are handling their customer service now and especially deliveries. I have made an order on the 16.04.20 and still waiting for the package to arrive. A replacement was agreed to be sent out with priority and again no update if it has even left the warehouse. For the first order my son called several times asking for it to be sent with DHL to ensure delivery, but CS representatives did not take his request seriously. I am tired of checking every morning where is my parcel and if it is going to arrive. This is utterly disappointing for a loyal customer of yours which I have been. I ordered a present of a china mug for my sister’s birthday on 10/5/20 on 30/4/20 which has just been delivered in pieces!!. What am I going to give her now!
I love Whittard’s tableware so decided to order some more during lockdown. My initial parcel did not arrive although this was Yodel, the delivery company’s fault rather than Whittard’s. When I phoned to let Whittard know, they immediately arranged for a replacement to be sent by another delivery company. It arrived 2 days later and I am very pleased with it. Fabulous product and excellent customer service from Whittard’s.
If you have a sweet tooth, Whittard Hot Chocolate is the way to go. I've bought almost every flavour and they're all amazing. No other hot chocolate has the same intensity of flavour. Would highly recommend 🍫
Edited. Expensive and it took a long time to get my delivery (it was lost in transit initially). But the quality of the products is top notch

Very bad company will not help you I made a order had 2 codes both came off now they are saying I can’t have the free mugs but it’s not my fault it dint say I could not use the codes they both worked not happy will never order again false promises
Bought some Japanese Sencha from their Cardiff store back in October 2017 and I must say that it was awful. Little to no flavour, extremely bitter and astringent no matter how I brewed the tea. It tasted like those awful, cheap tea bags you get at the big chain coffee shops. When you compare it to Sencha from other reputable tea sellers (The Tea Makers of London provide exceptional Sencha) it is not in the same universe, let alone the same league. Whittards claim this is a premium, high quality tea yet it is no different to the typical cheap green tea bags you can buy at any supermarket. They are charging a premium price for an extremely poor product that in no way reflects how good Sencha can be if you buy good quality leaves as opposed to the drek that Whittards sell. Please avoid this company if you care about good quality tea and search for a seller that offers great tea (Tea Makers of London, hibiki-an etc...) and has excellent customer feedback & good customer service that doesn't censor reviews. You won't believe the difference in quality and you'll wonder why you've been wasting money on abysmal tea disguised as a premium product. For £8.95 I buy Japanese Premium Sencha from the Tea Makers of London that is so superior to the £12.50 garbage Whittards sell it's unreal. To add insult to injury you get 125 grams of tea compared to 100 grams of the poison Whittards sell. Far, FAR better tea, in greater quantity, for £3.50 less. I promise you that you won't be disappointed. To make things even worse, after leaving a review on the product page on their website the review mysteriously vanished. All you are paying for is a fancy, Made In Chelsea hipster fashion brand with pretentious, expensive stores and rude staff. You certainly are not paying for good quality tea. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
I wanted to buy tea from Whittard , but after i have read the opinions ,I think I wait
I have ordered Whittard Loose Leaf Darjeeling tea several times over the last few years and the quality is usually excellent, BUT the recent batch received in March just tastes truly ‘unpleasant’. Have you changed your supplier? I’ve tried it both with milk and without, but it just totally lacks the delicate flavour of a proper Darjeeling. Your tea is normally superior to other cheaper loose leaf Darjeeling brands so I’m really disappointed.
I have placed 2 different orders in same week and in total more than £70 and did not receive any of my orders yet and asked customer service to forward wonderland cups as promoted on the website. Customer service replied back with " Unfortunately I am unable to honour this for you as it has to be £60.00 or over on one order"! I love Whittard tea selection but their customer service mentality is not good as their products. When I receive my orders I will return all of them and never shop again! Very disappointed as a customer!
I have been purchasing teas from Whitards for several years and am very happy with them. This review is for customer services only, Near the end of March, I was looking online for Whittard offers, and spotted one for 3 for 2 teas. I clicked on the link, which took me directly to Whittards where I stocked up on teas. I didn't notice at the time the promotional code did not go through. A few days later when I did check and phoned customer services, they told me the offer did not start till 2 days after I made my purchase, and I would have to prove I saw the offer. I asked them to speak to their web staff but got no answer to this. I did send a photo of the link, showing the offer, but was told it could have been an old offer!! I was also told I could return them to a store and purchase more on offer - fat chance with all the stores closed with Corona Virus! Incidentally, all discussions and the final email to customer services were all to the same person, who obviously had no intention of looking into this
Excellent choice of teas, coffees and other hot confectionary. Recently extended their free delivery offer due to COVID-19 ... a gesture that is very much appreciated by me!

At last the brought back the Nova double walled glass mugs and after waiting months, I bagged five of them. Delighted and the mugs are absolutely spectacular. But, what I was MOST impressed with was the packaging. It was almost all recyclable. Instead of bubble wrap, they used paper - cut in a way which twisted and padded out the sheet but yet could be rolled up and re-used - after which it can be recycled. Even the tape used to seal the box was paper based. Love it! Well done Whittards. Only thing was, the actual mugs were wrapped in bubble wrap but for all the packaging needed to secure glass, most of it was recyclable so I'm not complaining. This was great. The mugs are amazing and look fantastic with a good cuppa inside. They are dishwasher and microwave safe but I'd never put these in a dishwasher. No siree! Too precious. Hats off to Whittards for a great packing concept.

Ordered some bits and pieces on the website and was looking forward to receiving them. After the transaction went through it changed to “processed” and has remained that way ever since. I’ve ordered things from Spain and Germany which were delivered within two days and Whittard haven’t even bothered to box the order in Northampton yet (day 8). Of course, no proactive updates on the order so it’s a case of checking the website manually every day. As others have mentioned, terrible experience and they seem to be trading on their name rather than their service. Won’t be ordering from them online again.
It's bad. Really bad. I want to express my disappointment in your brand - I bought a Christmas Tea box for my mother - the contents felt cheap and not up to your brand, as I believe you work hard in order to achieve a high standard look. The box itself does have a very impressive look but finding a ticket that said that you accidentally put the wrong amount of tea declaring you (bees) were too busy, was quite inappropriate - ( no sorry in the ticket) you found the time to print the ticket and place it inside the back of the box rather than informing me "of your little bees issues" when I purchased this present at the shop. Your staff could have told me (and many other customers I'm sure), and I would have appreciated the honesty. The fact that I'm paying the full price for something that you already know it wasn't worth the weight, the price and the quality is the definition of a scam. I would like an explanation as this is unacceptable. I don't accept that your company has decided to sell me a package with a difference of 350g (amount that is supposed to be inside the box) and having a total of 180g instead. seriously, are you serious? Were the bees busy? Or you just think you are smarter than your buyers?

May 15,2020Did not deliver my products, and did not do ANYTHING to make it right. Ordered on 1st May 2020, they cancelled my order on 15th May 2020. Told me that PayPal did not process my payment despite the payment leaving my bank account the same day, and being processed by Paypal within 1-2 days. Whittard have lost a very regular customer, I will never buy their products again seeing as their customer service is awful and they evidently do not care about customers. I will also be sharing my reviews online, and also advising my friends and family (who also regularly order Whittard) to never buy from them again. Overall very disappointed in this experience. We are in 2020 and it takes a company 2 weeks to deliver something, and even if they had issues with the payment they did not bother to contact me. Poor customer experience overall. 1/5 star is generous for this review, but unfortunately I cannot give it any lower. My friend who the gift was for is going to be very upset now that they will not deliver the products. I asked them several times for my complaint to be passed to their management and they ignored my request every time.
