Oct 19,2023I've recently undergone surgery at Wood medispa. It's been such an incredible experience and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. I've spent decades considering options but James was knowledgeable, positive, reassuring and has achieved a great result. The process was seemless, the location is beautiful, the food is incredible and it really didn't feel like I was in a hospital for the night.

Oct 11,2023I recently had surgery on my nose at Wood Medispa. I found the whole experience relaxing and had complete confidence in Dr Toby Nelson who was very proficient and reassuring with a gentle sense of humour. The medispa is in a delightful Devonshire country setting and all the support staff couldn't have been more helpful. Should I need more treatment I will have no hesitation in returning. lynne P

Oct 11,2023I had breast augmentation at Wood Medispa earlier this year and I honestly could not have wished for a better experience, especially as this was my first time under going treatment. The location is gorgeous, the staff are all so welcoming and friendly and I am thrilled with the results. At my initial consultation James listened to what I was hoping to achieve with my surgery, he gave me indications of what could be achieved and also used the computer to create a 3D image, and made me aware of the risks involved with the surgery. On the day of my surgery I was taken to my room and prepped for the surgery, James once again went through everything we had discussed at my initial consultation and anything else I had thought of since. I met with everyone that would be part of my surgery and was then taken down to theatre. After my surgery the nurses were fantastic, each nurse came and introduced themselves when they started their shift - checking on me at regular intervals and asking if I needed anything,- if I did they were only a button push away. Even after surgery I was still up for eating and the food was delicious. I was discharged the next day and had a follow up a week later to have my dressings removed, I was then booked in to see James for my post op follow up at 5/6 weeks and told to get in touch if I had any concerns beforehand. From my initial consultation to the post op follow up everything has flowed smoothly, the care I have received from start to finish has been wonderful and every member of staff I have had contact with has been outstanding. My results are exactly what I hoped to achieve and I have a new found confidence since my surgery. I highly recommend Wood Medispa for anyone.

Oct 03,2023I can't speak highly enough about the experience I had at Wood Medispa. Everyone I came into contact with was so kind and helpful every step of the way. My consultation with James was so much better than I could've hoped for. He showed such kindness and empathy for all my worries and answered every question thoroughly. I felt in safe hands the whole way through the consultation and procedure itself. The aftercare nurses were so lovely and all my aftercare communications and appointments have been perfect. I cannot say enough good things. It was an experience I expected to be very difficult and, in fact, ended up being truly wonderful and restoring my confidence!

Oct 03,2023I couldn’t of gone to a better clinic. The staff were amazing. The clinic was outstanding. But most of all my surgeon Dr McDiarmid. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. He’s an amazing surgeon and always thinks about the client. He’s work is amazing. 10/10 rating for sure. You have to go no where else. Wood mediSpa is the place to get the best treatment and results…

Aug 29,2023Absolutely over the moon with my results & the time spent at wood.. So glad I went for it, if your thinking about surgery I'd say do it!! No complaints from me , James is a miracle worker! The staff are great and the accommodation/ grounds is stunning, what a place to relax. Can't thank James enough ❤️

Jul 25,2023I am very happy with my laser treatment which has removed thread veins on my face and also helped reduce redness on my nose from my MOHs surgery in January. I am very happy to have had this done as it is going to make me have more confidence in my appearance. Lauren is caring , compassionate and is very experienced with laser treatments. I felt very safe in her care and she explained the whole process to me. I would highly recommend this treatment and wood medi spa is a stunning place to have treatments.

Jul 23,2023Choosing to have surgery is definitely not something I did lightly and spent a lot of time researching beforehand. It's a scary thing to talk to people about your insecurities and undergo any medical procedure. I'm so glad I put my trust in the team at Wood Medispa and couldn't be happier with my experience and results. Every single person I came into contact with was kind, professional and reassuring - front of house, Administrators and everyone in the medical team. It is great to be around people who are not just competent but also calm and friendly. James McDiarmid is a wonderful person and Consultant who offers the highest quality care and is clearly excellent at what he does. I felt understood and very safe in his hands. I would not hesitate to recommend him and Wood Medispa. (And as a bonus the facilities are beautiful and the Chef is amazing!)

Jul 21,2023The whole experience was as good as it could be. Going for a surgical procedure is never something one looks forward to but at Wood Medi Spa it was a new experience altogether. Beautiful surroundings that are modern , clean, quiet and relaxing. Most of all Toby Nelson was reassuring and informative. My treatment was pain-free and successful. I have had follow ups and when phoning to ask questions i was dealt with politely and efficiently. What a pity that more people have not got the financial capacity to afford such care at dates and times to suit and not reliant on waiting lists that are getting longer and longer. Once i was told i would be on a twelve month waiting list for cancer surgery on my face there was no contest i had to get it done. So thank you Toby Nelson and Wood MediSpa.

I’ve known Dr Brooks since she was in Surrey and despite the journey I wouldn't go anywhere else as I know the results will be excellent The spa is in a beautiful, tranquil location with excellent facilities and wide range of procedures available. From the initial consultation to the aftercare the service is five star.

Jun 29,2023I had VY lower lip plasty in June 2022. What I loved about it is that Mr. McDiarmid honoured the price quoted prior to Covid and lockdown. The facilities are like a five star spa, it’s beautiful there. The staff are amazing and incredibly friendly. I was very happy with my results.

Jun 23,2023I have had by Mohs surgery a procedure to remove a basil cell carcinoma from my cheek which was close to my eye by Dr. Toby Nelson at Wood Medi Spa. After just one week I am amazed by an absolutely brilliant result. A micro surgery genius with a great team who make you feel at ease. I would recommend Dr. Toby Nelson and his team at Wood Medi Spa 100%. JH

Jun 22,2023James McDiarmid and team at Wood MediSpa are simply the best, from the initial consultation to the operation and aftercare they go above and beyond to help you. This is my third procedure James has performed and I would not go to anyone else, even though he no longer operates near where I live, I was happy to travel knowing I would get the best results possible. Everything is 5 star at Wood MediSpa and I cannot thank them enough.

May 20,2023Following a consultation with Dr. Toby Nelson at Wood MediSpa. I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my nose using Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Nelson also removed another bcc from my eyebrow at the same time. The tissue from my nose was examined immediately and once all cancerous cells had been removed the repair took place. I have an excellent result with minimal scarring. Dr. Nelson was very kind, friendly and reassuring as were all the staff. I would recommend this method of surgery to have everthing done in one procedure and the best cosmetic outcome. Many thanks! Margaret

Oct 27,2023I am do delighted to be able to recommend Wood MediSpa. As a lady of a certain age , I was unhappy with my “bingo wings” so I chose to have surgery on my arms. I had no hesitation in choosing Wood MediSpa as I have had previous surgery with James McDiarmid who is a true professional & I have always been extremely pleased with the results . It is still early days , but I am so thrilled with the healing. James understood what my vision was & made every effort that in time the scars will be hardly seen.
