Nov 15,2022The experience at Wood Medispa is nothing less than 5 stars from start to finish. I had seen James McDiarmid twice before at Nuffield but coming to Wood Medispa is a whole new experience. From first making my booking the reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Then nurses were empathetic, caring and nothing was too much trouble and even had my sense of humour!! James and his Operations team made you feel at ease and was thoroughly professional throughout!! James, Wood Medispa is outstanding and a credit to all your hard work in achieving what it is now!! I will reccomend you to all who ask as my No1!!!

Oct 14,2022Wood Medispa, a stunning place in the most beautiful grounds. On arrival I was welcomed by reception and shortly after greeted by Lauren herself. After application of numbing cream, I completed the necessary paperwork and discussed the procedure, namely Halo Laser. I was shown into the treatment room where Lauren initially used the BBL laser to ‘zap’ my unwanted thread veins. My face was then mapped out and the wonderful Halo laser was passed over the sections of my face. The procedure was painless and actually rather relaxing, after which I was given ice packs to cool the skin. I left with a rosy glow, reminiscent of a day in the sun. The following morning my skin looked fabulous, totally even with a glow, no swelling and progressed to deeper pink through the day. Day 3, a little flaking started but I was told how great my skin looked. Day 4, I could notice the microscopic MENDS but only when looking closely. All in all I have been presentable throughout, I still have a little shedding to go but I can see the tremendous difference and I’m absolutely delighted with the results. I’ve already recommended Wood Medispa, Lauren and Halo Laser to all, it’s exceptional!

Oct 13,2022I’ve just returned home after a two night stay at Wood MediSpa and I have to say my whole experience has far exceeded anything that I’d imagined. The amazing Zoe & Holly welcomed me and took me under their wing before my surgery and made me feel so at ease. I had no pre op nerves and I’m sure a lot of that was due to all the team being so super friendly, informative and efficient. James McDiarmid did my surgery, that man works miracles! My surgery results are even better than I’d expected and I can’t thank him enough. The theatre team & nurses who all looked after me we’re just incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and always available immediately if I needed anything. The food is also fantastic! Everything I ordered tasted like it was made with love, I felt like I was dining in a 5* hotel. I can’t remember all of the nurses names but Zoe, Holly, Janice, Denise & Ella, (I know there’s one or two more) you are an absolutely incredible nursing team and you have made my stay the most wonderful experience. I can not thank you all enough for everything you have done for me. It’s been the best experience. Thankyou.

Oct 03,2022I had a BBL laser treatment with Lauren , it was absolutely fantastic! I have always suffered with acne and this is the first treatment to actually work for me . Lauren made me feel at ease about the treatment and very comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and helpful . Couldn’t fault them !

Sep 20,2022What an amazing place. From the moment you arrive all the staff are welcoming and helpful. James McDiarmid and his team performed assisted with my Abdominoplasty, liposuction, breast reduction and hernia repair on 13/09/2022 today a week later I returned to have my stitches removed thank you Janice and Holly. I am so pleased with how I have progressed in a week, I feel amazing - thank you everyone. Nursing staff your professionalism, care, understanding and help is of a high standard thank you to you all. Food the menu is amazing the choices unbelievable again nothing to much trouble for the chef to prepare if he can. I would highly recommend Wood MediSpa to anyone I can not praise then enough. Thank you to you all.

Sep 17,2022I had BA surgery three months ago. It was done by Jurga Pikturnaite. I am very happy with the process itself and the result. Reality exceeded my expectations. Great clinic, very friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Sep 16,2022I saw James late August for a consultation regards having my 12yr old breast implants replaced due to a rupture. James was very reassuring as to what he would do during the surgery and what my recovery would be. From first arrival at reception at the Wood Medispa I was looked after wonderfully. The staff are all absolutely amazing, so kind, caring and patient. They take the time to talk to you and give the best patient care. I would particularly like to mention Zoe, Holly, Janice and Daisy who looked after me during my stay, ensuring I was comfortable, did my obs, gave me my meds and took the time to have a chat and bring me teas, water and food. Louis the anesthetist was calm and reassuring, as was Tash whilst I nervously kept thanking them profusely as I was put to sleep! Sorry lol! I cannot write a review without mentioning the food - the food was absolutely divine, the Chef is definitely worthy of a Michelin star. Even the Bird and Blend teas were delicious. In all honesty I was nervous about having the replacement surgery, I didn't want another surgery but I am overwhelmingly happy with the results and so pleased I've had it done - especially after seeing what was removed. James is a very talented surgeon, I trust him implicitly, his staff are wonderful and the Medispa is a beautiful tranquil place to be. I cannot recommend James and his team more highly. Sep 13,2022If you are looking for top class surgery look no further than Woodmedispa, the surgery you will receive from James McDiarmid is of the highest of levels that you can expect to receive from start to finish. In the most luxurious & idyllic of settings. Since I had a breast reduction last year with small implants which I am absolutely thrilled with, I did not hesitate to have James McDiarmid do a second procedure & remove excess skin from my hips ( the correct medical term is hard to say let alone spell ) which I successfully had done recently. I still have a lot of healing to do, but I am already thrilled with the results which are so noticeable. I should say that I am in my late sixties, some would question why now? ...but I wanted to feel as good on the outside as I do on the inside. & James understood my vision & was happy to proceed & added extra suggestions. The care I received from all of the team was outstanding , from Mandy The patient co-ordinator who is always a delight & her team to deal with . The nurses who are a credit to Woodmedispa , are so professional , friendly & caring & gave such warmth from the moment I entered to when I left the following day. Thank you Holly, Zoe Georgie, Denise & Angie. You all made such a difference to my stay. Thank you to Louis & his superb theatre team who put me at ease. The Chef who made the most delicious of meals ! But most of all, to James McDiarmid who is an expert in his field & is an ambassador of kindness. I cannot recommend Woodmedispa highly enough, you will not be disappointed. There you will receive the most professional of care with a team that all work seamlessly together. Sep 07,2022I first met James 10 years ago, when I was 58, and we discussed a facelift. I wasn’t ready. This year I had a clear and very explanatory consult with James and still wasn’t ready. At no time did I feel under pressure to make a decision and I have found him to be thoughtful and compassionate every step of the way. I had the facelift on August 8th and I am very pleased with it and with the experience at Woods. I recommend it!

Sep 03,2022I cannot recommend or praise Woodmedispa enough. First, James McDiarmid is a magician. I knew, from the start of my consultation with James, that he was the surgeon I was meant to use. From the time I booked my consultation through to aftercare I have been treated as an individual and not just ‘another case’. Woodmedispa itself is stunning and more like a hotel than a hospital but it is the staff that really make this place special. The entire team at Woodmedispa are outstanding and every member of staff goes above and beyond. Woodmedispa employ some of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met and I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch to be part of this life changing experience. Thank you all for being part of my journey!

Sep 01,2022I recently had an extended deep plane face lift, lip lift, brow lift and under eye blepharoplasty by the talented and expert surgeon James McDiarmid at Woodmedi Spa. I was supported to understand the process all of the way through the consultation and then once I had signed up to have the procedures. On the day of my surgery I was met and supported by compassionate nursing and care, staff reducing my anxiety. The staff were excellent ensuring that I was comfortable during my two night stay. The food was amazing, fine dining standard and the endless supply of hot and cold drinks. I was discharged with clear after care instructions and attended a week later to have the stitches removed expertly by one of the nurses. Being honest the surgery was extensive and the recovery time longer than I had expected, but the results are outstanding. Four weeks on and I look probably 15 years younger and feel amazing, no more hiding my neck all winter with polo neck jumpers. James McDiarmid is a surgical artist and the results are amazing, I would absolutely recommend using Woodmedi Spa to anyone considering rejuvenating surgery,

Aug 16,2022My first experience of the treatment I received. Wood Medispa, South Tawton, Devon is set in beautiful grounds and magnificent building. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at ease. Dr Toby Nelson carried out cryotherapy. He explained in detail what would happen and checked that I understood and was happy to proceed. I was treated with respect and kindness by all members of the Medispa team involved and felt it was good value. I would recommend Dr Nelson and Medispa.

He was so nice, answered all of my questions, made me feel so comfortable and welcomes and honestly has the best assistant (Karen) and coworkers/staff that I've ever met! Then nurses were just so fantastic and lovely. The food post surgery was really excellent ( I felt like I was at a posh restaurant !) the teas were so good too. I cannot fault anything, my results from surgery have been great! I was at the gym again after 4 weeks and running after 2 weeks. I would recommend James and his team to anyone. Nov 28,2022I had a Breast Augmentation with Mr James Mcdiarmid at the beginning of this month, it’s something I’ve wanted for years and since discovering Woodmedispa, It was a no brainer as to who and where I wanted to go for my procedure! Then after getting a first hand review from a friend who had also gone with James, I bit the bullet and never looked back! 2 weeks in and even though they take up to 3 months to fully settle, I’m just in love with my results! Pretty much back to full heath & normality too, which is amazing… very quick recovery! Big shout out to all the nurses throughout my stay, they all treated me like their own and didn’t want to say goodbye to any of them. As for James and his team, well that goes without saying, extremely professional and comforting! Best of the best ❤️
