May 14,2023I had a breast implant exchange and tummy tuck on 18th April with James McDiarmid at Wood Medispa. I 100% recommend James McDiarmid. He is a lovely man....genuine, kind and only wanting the very best for his patients. His skills are exceptional and my results are incredible. There is no other plastic surgeon I would want to be treated by. Wood MediSpa is the most fantastic retreat to undergo surgery. The staff are all amazing and very happy in their jobs...again a credit to James McDiarmid. He has created an outstanding hospital. Thank you.

May 13,2023I have been through two major surgeries now with James McDiarmid at Wood MediSpa to address my loose skin after losing 11 stone. I had a Breast Lift reusing my own tissue for volume, FDL Tummy Tuck with Mons Lift, Thigh & Arm Lift, Liposuction etc. James is an absolutely amazing surgeon who is very skilled & talented. The entire team at Wood MediSpa go above & beyond to make you feel comfortable, supported, & it feels more like having good friends around you than just medical staff. They have time to care for you, the food is amazing & nothing is too much. Being young, I was very scared to go through such big procedures, but I would highly recommend Wood MediSpa to anyone! Extremely professional, friendly, exceptional results, fab aftercare, nothing is too much and they are always happy to help. The facilities are also amazing & on beautiful grounds. James & the team have absolutely changed my life for the better. I couldn't have been in better hands! Can't thank the team enough for everything they've done for me. I have a new start in life. Thanks so much Wood MediSpa! :)

Mr McDiarmid is a talented, supportive and caring surgeon who is totally committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. The team at Wood Medispa have gone above and beyond to create such a luxurious and tranquil setting for patients to undergo surgery. The food was also out of this world and I will definitely be back. May 07,2023My experience at Wood MediSpa was excellent. I chose to go privately for MOHs surgery on my face after being on the NHS waiting list for some time. I felt in very good hands with Mr Toby Nelson. He made the whole process more pleasant than I could have ever imagined. The hospital is a lovely grand house in beautiful grounds, it feels like a very healing environment. The staff are all very caring and calm. I thoroughly recommend it.

Apr 30,2023Firstly, I was put at ease by James McDiarmid, when I first met him, and from then on felt very comfortable to go ahead with my planned procedure. From the moment I walked through the door at Wood MediSpa, it felt like a 5 star hotel, rather than a hospital. Spotlessly clean, and lovely kind staff, made me feel very welcome, as was the case throughout. All knew their jobs well, and were very kind and caring. The food was absolutely amazing, again, more akin to being in a 5 star country house hotel. James has done an amazing job with my procedure, and I can't thank him and the team enough. I'm also intending to return soon for further procedures, which in itself is a recommendation that this is a great place to come to for your plastic surgery!

Apr 29,2023Im not sure what I can say that explains my whole experience any better than has not already been said! I had multiprocedures (63 and in need of it!) ie deep plane face lift, lower blephaplasty, browlift, fat transfer to several areas, lipo under my chin and Co2 laser, this was James's recommendation and he's the expert. I decided to do this on 14th Feb as a act of self love :-) It was a somewhat daunting prospect but the whole team were so reassuring and professional and I felt listened to, cared for, and valued throughout the whole process. As someone has said its not for the fainthearted so I credit myself and anyone else for being brave and willing, but you really couldnt be in better hand that James McDiarmid...he really is a master of his art. Just over 10 weeks post surgery and I look fabulous, and I absolutely love the difference it has made not only physically but also for my confidence levels. Im always being complemented on how lovely my skin looks and noone believes my age (Ive given up telling people as I dont want to explain why to most!) My friends who know are full of admiration, awe and a generous helping of envy. Ive have given them the clinics contact details! I admit to having my moment in the first two weeks as I looked bad, but that was mostly due to the Co2 laser but having said this I did a gig (in a band) just 3 weeks after surgery so it didnt really last that long. If youre tempted, take a leap of faith, do it, it really will be the best thing you can do for yourself, you will love it!! A gigantic thank you to James and all the team for all the care, support and attention - you really couldnt ask for better! If I could have stayed longer I could of made even more of the 5 star food and beautiful grounds...maybe next time :-)

Apr 28,2023Exceptional from start to finish & continuing aftercare. James & his team are amazing & put me at complete ease. Answering all my questions & concerns, I believe James had my best interests at heart & found the correct procedures suited to me at an excellent price. The hospital is fantastic stunning grounds the medical team are extremely professional & nothing is too much trouble felt well look after. Your made to feel very much at home & the food is amazing my compliments to the chef. Your given everything you require for when you go home including medication & creams for your aftercare which is lovely. All I can say too everyone at Wood Medispa from the first phone call )special mention to Felicity) right to the end the whole Team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent friendly professional patient & helpful & I would unreservedly recommend.

Apr 28,2023Amazing! Everything about my experience with wood MediSpa was amazing, from my consultation with James Mcdiarmid, to having my surgery, to the after care I received. The premises is pristine, the nurses and everyone involved are lovely and friendly and the food is delicious. Nothing was too much to ask for! I couldn't recommend this company enough, my surgery has honestly given me my life back, I can't thank everyone involved enough for the care I received.

Apr 28,2023Excellent experience from first initial call through to aftercare. The team and James all go above and beyond and are amazing. The nursing and reception staff, the chef, the surgical team are all so helpful and lovely. I cannot rate the clinic highly enough. The rooms, building and grounds are stunning and the whole experience was more like a stay at a luxury spa than a hospital.

The reception staff are courteous and helpful and make you feel welcomed, the nurses are wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, special thanks must go to Holly, Zoe and Janice who looked after me so well. I was met on the morning of my surgery by the theatre team and felt very reassured. James Mcdiarmid carried out my surgery and I couldn't be happier with the results, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Such a beautiful place and the food was first class too. Thank you so much to all you lovely people at Wood Medispa for everything, absolutely 5 star

Apr 14,2023I recently had Rhino/septoplasty at Wood MediSpa. I would just like to say a big "Thank you" to James and his amazing team who made the whole journey so far, an amazing experience. After wanting this done the past 5 years, to help with my breathing and also my appearance, I knew now the time was right and i had 100% trust in James to do it. James listens and as mentioned previously gives you realistic expectations. Not once did I feel under any pressure. The splint came off 2 days ago and am over the moon with the results so far! I would not hesitate to recommend Wood MediSpa to anyone thinking of having a procedure done there, what a fantastic place!.

Feb 19,2023The care I received at Wood Medispa was fantastic. Everyone, and I mean literally everyone here couldn’t be more kind and helpful. The staff, nurses, My surgeon, even the nice chaps who did my anaesthetic came and had a chat with Me. As for the surgery itself, I Love my results. Mr McDiarmid really listens, and his honesty is refreshing. The hospital is beautiful, and looks and feels like a 5 star hotel. I would absolutely recommend.

Jan 30,2023My treatment was a fairly straightforward hernia repair but actually the only time in my life I have been hospitalised. The staff were excellent; kind courteous reassuring and friendly, It was almost like being treated at home. I certainly would never hesitate to be seen to there in the future - though obviously I hope it won't be necessary!

Jan 26,2023I had breast reduction and a deep plane lower face lift and earlobe reduction in June 2022. This was not an easy decision to make and not for the faint hearted but it has changed my life and one of the best decisions I have ever made. From start to finish the treatment and service was exceptional and I would 100% do it all again. Thank you for everything.

Nothing is too much trouble, and everything you could ever require is provided quickly, efficiently and with the upmost care and attention. The fact that the clinical and nursing team are world class, just enhances the experience.

Dec 05,2022From the first phone call I had with Felicity I was made to feel at ease, she was so supportive and did everything she could to help me along this journey and I can’t thank her enough! Every single one of the team made me feel welcome, supported and they made a 21 year journey leading up until this point feel like this is where I was supposed to be having my procedure done. The nurse that looked after me (Zoe) was so helpful and would always go out of her way for me. James was absolutely incredible and I felt so comfortable letting him take the lead, and had full trust in him knowing what would be the best way going forward for me was. WoodMedi spa is absolutely beautiful, it felt more like a hotel stay than a “hospital” stay. I cannot recommend James and his team enough!! This procedure has well and truly changed my life - thank you!!

Nov 30,2022Although I always intended to praise the entire staff at MediSpa and to thank James for his exceptional skills, it was my GP’s remarks on the surgery that has prompted me to make this review. My breast reduction surgery was performed by James McDiarmid at WoodMediSpa Devon, back in July of this year. Beautiful, Gorgeous, Stunning, Spectacular describe the hospital setting and grounds. Outstandingly Gentle, Kind, Caring describes the entire team at the hospital. There are not enough superlatives to describe Dr James McDiarmid.

May 19,2023Wood MediSpa - an OASIS of SERENITY ! Absolute SUPERB service from start to finish! I am incredibly happy with the experience so far & I can now understand why some previous comments say 5 stars isn’t enough. It’s truly not enough as this has EXPERT surgeons. Hence I found it from researching ‘top UK B-Lite implant surgeons’ which led me to ‘James Mc Diarmid’- an absolute Genius that has an artists eye a SCULPTOR’S hand along with an EMPATHETIC heart / vibe. ) His surgical team was outstanding too & the anesthesiologist was the most gentle, calming one I’ve met. I felt completely cared for & drifted off beautifully. The nurses are all adorable; from the happy bubbly pre op Holly to the delightful (funny/ v.lovely Denise & gorgeous Georgie )they’re all so lovely & even the receptionists are all so warm & welcoming. I could write a short story on this place, it’s truly ENCHANTING! However I won’t give away anymore. If you want to be treated like Royalty - like a Prince/Princess in a palace lol - you won’t believe it until you’re there, heavenly/historical /luxury &&&& let’s not forget the bones of it - leave feeling like a million dollars. Then here’s your sanctuary, every detail is perfect. Even down to the furnishings that are handpicked by Francesca, PERFECTLY! Everything about Wood MediSpa is Beautiful! Ps, they’re so kind that I didn’t fancy anything off their menu (which is incredible, fit for any foodie ) BUT sometimes you just fancy a simple salad SO the Chef made me a delicious prawn & avocado salad & made me fresh smoothies & he was even thoughtful enough to give the night nurses a banana so I could have one through the night. (Needles to say Denise had my number & made it before I asked, which is pretty impressive because I’m one for asking… lol - so even the Chef is a star!) I devoured (highly recommend) the Overnight oats in the morning though, absolutely scrumptious. Re Star - I have complete FAITH in James & his team & am V.excited to see my results as so far they are EXACTLY what I WISHED for. Hope this helps; thank you for your time.
