Jun 16,2022I attended Wood MediSpa for a rhinoplasty and was initially wondering if it might be better to go to a surgeon who exclusively does rhinoplasty. However, Mr McDiarmid had an excellent understanding of which type of nose would suit which face, and he completely captured my wishes in the 3D software at consultation. All my questions and concerns were addressed, and I felt confident to go ahead. The treatment at Wood MediSpa was amazing, lovely food and the nurses and all staff were so nice. I was extremely nervous about pain but everyone made me feel at ease. I got near immediate responses when I had a question about recovery etc. I am so happy about the result and can really recommend this place, it will be my go-to for any type of procedure in the future :)

James has given me back my confidence and I can’t thank him enough. I have had several procedures and my opinion is the same every time .I look forward to returning x

Jun 13,2022Wood MediSpa is a calming, relaxing environment with friendly staff in a beautiful setting. It seems to take the stress out of what can be a worrying time. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Jun 02,2022Firstly, I I would like to say how apprehensive I was to have my procedure (rhinoplasty and buccal removal) as I was not being able to have visitors. I have had previous surgeries with Dr James Mcdiarmid but non on my face, however I felt reassured from through his honesty and knowledge. He’s never worried about telling you when a surgery is not needed and has a patient centred approach, which is really refreshing. Medispa is a tranquil location and after having surgeries elsewhere I feel that it offers better recovery through its closeness to nature. I woke up to the birds singing and natural light shining through my room. Both the nurses, health care assistance and anaesthetist were also excellent. Zoe, Holly, Gail, Georgie and Denise were so attentive and their treatment really shone a light on true patient care. Nothing was too much trouble and I didn’t feel the need to have visitors as they offered amazing support and time to talk to me….plus the copious amounts of tea without prompt. I just want to say a massive thank you to a very humble team.

Apr 22,2022I had vaser liposuction with Dr Wilson and from the outset the service was amazing, Dr Wilson was friendly and gave me a great amount of options and advice. On the day of surgery, everyone was so nice even when I was really nervous, massive thanks especially to Ella, Celleste, Helen, Tom, Ash, Karen and Adi. I was well looked after and the food was absolutely amazing. Aftercare has been brilliant, and the results 3 months on are already amazing, I have much more confidence now and cannot wait to see how the results get better over more time. Would recommend to anyone!!

Apr 10,2022I recently attended wood medi spa to have a Tummy Tuck and Vaser Liposuction with Dr Paul Wilson. The place is amazing and the care you recieve is 2nd to none. The nurses were on hand to offer support and guidance when needed and always had a smile on their faces even at 2am. Especially Janice and Zoe to name a couple who were quite happy to come and have a chat for 30mins. When I got scared of having a canuala Kevin held my hand to help me while Andreas did it. They both popped in after the operation to see how I was doing. Paul popped in to see me as well and made sure I had everything I needed, and to tell me how the operation went. The rooms are so nice and big and the food is amazing like a Michelin star restaurant. I would love to return to just walk around the gardens in the summer as the view form my room was wonderful. If you are considering surgery then please book it here as the before and aftercare is amazing.

Mar 07,2022I recently attended Wood MediSpa for a revision scar operation which was conducted by Dr Ash ( as I affectionately called him!) Dr Ash along with Dr James McDiarmid and the team were absolutely brilliant on every level. Dr Ash explained everything to me, talking me through the process of the procedure along with showing me the final result at my request. I now have a small pencil line scar which will eventually disappear in time anyway. The whole procedure from start to finish was extremely relaxing, calming with the final results being the outcome I wanted. I continue to highly recomend the professional service and creative work of Dr Ash , Dr McDiarmid and the amazing staff at Wood MediSpa in such a tranquil setting 🙂🙂

Dr Toby Nelson was very kind and explained very clearly what the surgery to remove a tumour on my nose involved. After care was first class & Toby was very happy to answer any questions to reassure me. Thank You.

Feb 16,2022Had a lipoma removed from my back. Excellent care from both James and all the staff, very friendly and welcoming and as everyone else has said – the food good too. All I can say really is that I second all the previous comments! Beautiful surroundings and facilities and I was really looked after in a kind and considerate way.

Feb 16,2022I cannot recommend James and his team at Wood MediSpa enough! I’ve been so satisfied with the care I’ve received and I’m thrilled with the outcome of my procedures (1 year post op abdominoplasty and 1 month post op Fat Transfer to breasts). The gardens and building are beautiful, and certainly not your typical hospital setting! This instantly made me feel at ease. The staff are so friendly and the food was phenomenal! However, the thing that I’ve been most impressed with, is the aftercare. Whenever I’ve had a question, or a minor concern along the healing process, I’ve had an answer almost immediately and from James himself, and I’ve always come away feeling reassured. Thank you to James and the team - you’ve given me the confidence that has been missing for so long!

Feb 16,2022I recently had breast augmentation with James McDiarmid who was recommended to me by a friend. I had been researching on and off for several years but could never find someone I was 100% happy to go with until I met with James. I had my consultation with him, he made me feel so comfortable and thoroughly explained everything to me making me feel so at ease. I booked my surgery right there and then. My stay at Wood Medispa was incredible, the place itself is more like a hotel! The nurses couldn’t do enough for you, honestly made my stay so enjoyable and comfortable. The food was amazing, definitely 5 star worthy and just what I needed after surgery! All the team involved in my surgery introduced themselves and explained what they would be doing which I appreciated a lot. Overall my whole experience was amazing and I couldn’t recommend James and his team enough! I’m now 4 weeks post op and have never felt more confident in myself, the best decision I have ever made. Thank you so much James and to all of your team!!

Feb 16,2022This was My first experience at Wood MediSpar which involved a full face lift and lip lift .I found the whole experience from my consultation to my surgery, very professional with friendly and qualified staff that treated me with a high standard of care, curtesy and respect. The accommodation at the wood MediSpar was exceptional with on suite .you even get to keep your soft white robe.The care from the Doctors , anaesthetist and nurses made you feel comfortable at at ease, They all explained everything to you and what’s was happening before and after surgery . My after care is on going and each day I’m loving the results as I heal. I highly recommend Wood MediSpar and would definitely go back for any other procedures in the future

Feb 15,2022There will never be enough ‘Thankyou’s’ in the world to James and all of the wonderful staff at Wood. From the 1st consultation, James was honest, realistic and positive towards my goal of what I wanted to achieve. The stay at Wood was amazing, never once did I feel like I was in a hospital setting, it’s a beautiful place ! James aftercare has been second to none, I send an email with a query and he reply’s usually within the hour ! If I need to be seen, they will squeeze me in where ever possible even in their extremely busy days. James and the wood medi spa will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ I will certainly be back for any future procedures, I wouldn’t consider anywhere else.

Feb 15,2022I had the CO2 laser resurfacing procedure and I must say from the first point of contact to my return home following the procedure, the surgeon James MacDiarmid, the service, the care, the staff (wouldn’t name any as they were all the best) the room, beautiful views, the meals, I could not fault anything, it was Brilliant. In fact that good I am going back for another procedure. Not only this the hospital is in an idyllic location 5 minutes off the A30.

From being recommended to book a consultation appointment at Wood Medispa with Plastic Surgeon James McDiarmid to having the operation done, I could not ask for a more confidence inspiring experience. Wood Medispa is a beautiful private hospital in it's own glorious grounds and is more like a 5 star spa than hospital. When you meet James he is so easy to chat to and he put me completely at ease with the procedure that I was having done and he was extremely confident about the change that I would experience. Wow !!! What an incredible transformation, from looking like an old woman in my seventies, my surgeon James McDiarmid has transformed my face to a very much younger looking me. I am so grateful !!! A very big THANK YOU to all at Wood Medispa.

Feb 15,2022I’ve wanted Breast Augmentation for years and finally did it. James McDiarmid is the best surgeon! Amazing experience and results.. The amount of people I have spoken to that highly recommended James was phenomenal. Woodmedi spa is beautiful and such a lovely place to be. All the staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. My experience was so smooth and James was always on the end of the phone if you had any questions. It’s made me so confident and so happy.. if you are thinking of any type of surgery.. woodmedi spa is 100% the best place!! Changed my life..

Jun 22,2022I had a breast augmentation with Mr McDiarmid and could not be happier with the results. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that my original date was changed and I was squeezed into a late surgery space meaning I did not go into surgery until 8pm. When I came out of surgery the chef had gone home, the food I got was reheated and one of my nurses made me feel like I was being a nuisance when I asked for anything. I left the hospital at 10am the next day after a total of 12 hours post surgery. I feel I missed out on the wonderful aftercare experience that I had heard so much about. I would use WoodMedi again, but I would not take a late appointment. Ultimately, my surgery results are fantastic.
