About Worldstrides Every travel experience is a journey of possibilities. We provide students a world of opportunities that immerse them in knowledge, culture, and inspiration. We help students grow by bringing learning to life‐‐new ideas, new friends, and the memories of a lifetime.
The tour was informative, however I was disappointed in the organization of the tours and the meal choices. Our bus was not at the airport for transportation so our group had to pay for Uber to get into the city. We also dined at fast food places for just about every meal. I understand somewhat why, but the choices feel like there was no thought or effort placed into them. It would have been nice to experience local cuisine.
Our guide Mike was able to deal with rescheduling and we still saw a ton of stuff. Very good.
The niceness of the tour guide and the interesting facts about every thing we saw/didn't see.
Great trip that my daughter will remember for a lifetime!
The student travel tour offered an enriching and well-organized experience overall. The tour guide demonstrated impressive historical knowledge, enhancing the educational value of the trip. The variety of locations visited provided a well-rounded perspective, and both the guide and driver were notably flexible and accommodating. The driver, in particular, went above and beyond to assist the group. Additionally, the extra service activity was a meaningful touch. However, several logistical issues need improvement. Pre-departure communication was unclear and unresponsive, causing unnecessary confusion. Hotel room assignments separated students from chaperones, including one instance where three 11-year-old girls were placed in a room with a malfunctioning door. Meal options were repetitive, with breakfast offerings being particularly sparse. The guide replacement at the last minute led to disorganization, and there was insufficient guidance on the second service opportunity. Finally, early morning departures and late arrivals disrupted sleep schedules in a way that was not age-appropriate. Addressing these concerns would significantly improve future tours.
My training tour to Costa Rica was lovely. The Explorica & Worldstrides staff were kind and helpful. Our tour director was very friendly and had lots to share about her country. I enjoyed the food and cultural experiences. The hotels were very basic in terms of quality and condition, but the locations were good.
I can't believe how many great experiences you packed in to just a few days! I especially ejoyed the ziplining, Manuel Antonio Park, and the Crocodile safari. Our guide, Raquel, was AMAZING!
I really enjoyed meeting all the different educators. The activities were wonderful and our tour guides were the best! I would recommend WorldStrides to anyone.
The Group leader convention in San Diego was wonderful.
The company brought in friendly, successful people with loads of experience to share their ideas and what has worked for them and what hasn't. I've been doing trips for 10 years and i still learned quite a bit.
This was very well put together and all the individuals that were on our trip made it even more special!
Very memorable and helpful trip. I've been to London on my own, and it was a pleasant experience not to have to worry about logistical details this time around. I'll be running a trip there in a couple of months, and this trip helped me considerably. Very pleasant guide who was both knowledgeable and unpretentious. Refreshing!
what made my experience very good was the person in charge of the trip the food the people were very polite and welcome
The leaders Tom, Sonya, Bryan and Sabrina Made our experience enjoyable.
Our trip to DC was wonderful. World Strides as always created an incredible experience for our students.
My daughter had a great experience. She said her tour guide was enthusiastic and made it so fun. I really appreciate that you all took such good care of my daughter even when she got sick. Thank you!
Following up with the our ***** Trip Director, we found out that we weren't going to get off the waitlist in early October 2024 for a late November ***** trip. In late December 2024, I called Worldstrides customer service to see the status of my refund of almost $3000 on the full deposit of the program. They said the refund is scheduled to be processed to original payment form (Debit card) in January 2025. Today is January 15th and no refund has been sent or recorded on my debit card that was used to pay for the trip. I didn't feel great about this company at the beginning and now coming across all these reviews, I know World Strides has shady business practices such as keeping funds of their prospective customers for months for free. I feel bad for the customer service folks in the ****** that have to deal with customers that are upset with the company's poor business practices so I am going to go online and log this issue instead. I also wonder how many families from our school are in the same boat as us? Perhaps, they've kept over $30,000 interest fee deposits so far???? On January 19th, I see some of the charges refunded on my account. However, it was not the total. So a couple of days later when I still didn't see the rest of the charges returned, I called Worldstrides customer service again regarding the FULL refund. You may have guess what they said.... Worldstrides states that "for some reason, my bank didn't accept the 8th through 11th refund payments totally almost $1k, and so the system is sent a check instead." They also said "the check should arrive within 30 days." Really? Where are they mailing the check from? Mars? Wow. Here we are on January 28th, and no check has arrived in the mail. Another example of a poor business practice/policy of Worldstrides.
Franco was an excellent guide! We all enjoyed our time in Italy and he should name his next tour " Franco's Get Fit Group" We walked over 50miles on our tour and thanks to him we all lost weight!
The experience was exceptional from the communication to the experience of restaurants, monuments and tour guides.
