tour guide was awesome according to my daughter. every place they visited was worth talking about. she loved everything about DC.
I was disappointed with our recent trip to Quebec's Winter Carnival. The bus ride was good, but that was organized by a contractor and thus not a reflection of WorldStrides itself. Overall, our tour guide Jerome was pleasant enough, but not knowledgeable about the city of Quebec. The tour was extremely poorly managed, with inappropriate wait times or activities for the students. In particular, the dog sledding activity involved a 5 minute lap on a sled followed by cheap hot chocolate and the kids sitting around for over an hour before leaving for Winter Carnival (totally inappropriate). The tour guide then dumped the kids off on a side street in the pitch dark and did not organize a meet-up place following the "parade," thus leaving the kids - many of them freshmen in H.S. and leaving the country for the first time - to find their way back to the hotel by themselves in the dark (again, inappropriate). The meals were repetitive and uninspired, focusing largely on greasy meats, eggs and potatoes and not offering much variety for kids who like to eat on the healthy side. Winter Carnival itself did not have much in the way of activities for the kids. The hotel was nice, but being so far away from Old Quebec, kids spent a ridiculous amount of time on the bus trying to get from one venue to another. You need to better organize this trip to maximize experience for the students and allow for more interfacing of real Quebequois people.
I learned a lot and saw a lot. I had fun with my friends and also felt safe. I would recommend going to DC with World Strides.
The bus was nice, hotel was nice and overall food good. Didn’t like Yard House food- other than that - it was great! Only downside was when it was pouring down rain- I would’ve been fine to change plans
Tour guide (buck) was amazing and very knowledgeable. Bus driver (Tony) was very good. Food options were limited, food quality was terrible at some places. some food choices weren’t open or did not have the options listed. Some of our girls really had trouble finding anything to eat.
My daughter had a great experience with WorldStrides on a recent trip to Washington DC. From the moment they got off the plane, their days were FILLED with non-stop tours, museums, and visits to so many different places. She said that the food/restaurants were really good, too. She says that her tour guide, Buck, was the best tour guide ever. She will truly never forget him and her trip to Washington DC.
Tour guide and bus driver were great. Hotels were nice and accommodating. Other than giving us rooms WITH balconies when our specific request was for rooms WITHOUT balconies. The food offered during the “included meals” was not appetizing, impressive, or healthy. There was too much “free time” every day and there weren’t any activities planned on our last full day of the trip.
I think that it was fun but the places ee visited were a loteo bit boring but over all it was fun
Locations were amazing. Food choices could have been a little better and included in the package price.
My Son's trip to Washington D.C. was one for the books! He walked through history, visiting memorials, museums and so many iconic landmarks. WorldStrides not only provided him a great experience but also an opportunity to learn, explore and create unforgettable memories.
Great experience! Thank you!
It was pretty good.
My daughter had a great time plus she learned about the different aspects of the rainforest.
I came with American Clogging All-stars. We performed in the Alamo Bowl halftime show. The whole trip was amazing. Our bus drivers were so great and fun. They got us everywhere we went on time. The organizers allowed us time on the field all by ourselves. Walking through the tunnel and out onto the field is an experience I’ll never forget! The organizers also setup our participation in the Alamo Bowl Pep Rally and a time to perform at SeaWorld. Again, it was an amazing opportunity. Thank you WorldStrides for this wonderful trip!
Our experience in Costa Rica was filled with diverse and interesting activities that greatly benefited the students. However, we noticed that the time spent on transportation was quite long compared to the time we actually had at the places we visited. There were also many moments of waiting with nothing to do, leading to extended periods of downtime between activities. While we appreciated having time to shop, the amount of time dedicated to this every day felt excessive. Additionally, during our stay at the Rainforest hotel, Chilamate, the staff was very kind and welcoming, but the rooms did not fully meet our expectations. Overall, it was a valuable experience, but we believe that better time management and adjustments to the schedule could enhance the trip.
Zipline was good
I got sick on the trip so I missed one of the best days with a lot of fun planning. Overall, I think that the it would have been better to have more old San Juan stuff too.
It was really fun and I learned a lot about the ecosystems and biomes of Costa Rica. I enjoyed hiking almost every day and the zip lines.
We liked the experiences and activities. Our tour guide, Mike, was really passive aggressive and agitated, and made the experience not enjoyable at all. I hope you guys find better staff. When we went to a restaurant for dinner, he literally took a piece of my fried chicken from my meal.
