Jul 19,2023Bejan - Manchester Branch Was always a nervous driver and failed my test during covid, never got back into driving so decided to take the intensive course. I found the theory part of the course useful but a little too long, an hour a day would've been perfect. Bejan was a great instructor, helped me overcome my initial nerves and is genuinely just a sound guy. After passing my theory, Bejan found me a test within 3 days and I passed with only 3 minors. We'd covered the test route I took during lessons so I felt a lot less nervous during it, he also dropped me off for my theory test and met me an hour before my practical to get a little more driving in which really helped. Thanks again to Bejan for being a great instructor and for helping me to finally pass my test.

Jul 19,2023This was an incredibly helpful and positive experience for learning to drive. I had previous driving experience with another instructor but 5day in bristol were so helpful with actually getting my licence, my instructor Joe was wonderful, so patient and calm- exactly what you want. I managed to get my theory test at the end of the week course and had a driving test four and a half weeks later, so its definitely the fastest way to pass! I managed to pass on my first test with 5day with 8 minors and Joe had said that he wouldn't have put me in for my test if he didn't think I was ready. I couldn't recommend them and Joe more!

Jul 17,2023Thoroughly recommend this driving course. I was really worried i would never pass my driving test but 5 day came to the rescue. I had a great classroom teacher Mark (who happened to be a liverpool fan too!) but most importantly i had an outstanding driving instructor called Marianna who instantly put me at ease behind the driving wheel and guided me to passing my test with flying colours! They found me a test pretty quickly too. The pre test lesson is great as it settles your nerves. Would not have passed my test without 5day and Marianna! if you wanna pass call 5day

Jul 17,2023Very good experience with the Bristol 5Day centre, I passed first time with three minors! A big thank you to my instructor Joe Donlin, who was incredibly understanding of my driving anxiety. He was also very proactive and started looking for practical test dates as soon as I was up to test standard, so I was able to take the practical test the week after completing the 5Day course. I thought this approach was more efficient than waiting for the 5Day admin team to look for test dates (especially as the wait time for tests is notoriously long at the moment). It's worth noting that I'd had lessons with a different provider in the past, and the 5Day website was clear that 20 hours of practical tuition might not be enough for complete beginners to get to test standard. Additionally, although I thought the cancellation/ refund policy seemed quite harsh (e.g., no refunds or alternative lessons to make up for missed time in the event of illness), I did think 5Day was very upfront and transparent about their T's & C's from the start. The theory training on my week was done online instead of in-person due to unforeseen circumstances. This was actually more convenient for me, and I think it's something 5Day could consider doing as standard.

Jul 10,2023Doing my course with 5day was good overall! My instructor John was great, very assiduous and worked within the tight time frame to get me from beginners to pass level in the 5 days. However, it was a lot of hard work and the split option, with the theory training in the morning, and driving in the afternoon, was extra tiring. To be honest, unless you need the motivation, you could do the theory stuff on the apps in your own time, and just go in for the practical lessons. This might have made it less knackering. The practical lessons were really good but there’s not really time for a more patient approach. This is not the instructor’s fault, but a structural thing with learning a whole new skill in just 5 days. There’s a lot of pressure to build skills quickly and move on, whereas I needed more time. Works for some and not others I think. I also wouldn’t rate the test booking approach: despite the narrative of “searching the system for cancellations”, this is done manually, rather than using an automatic booking system, which may have been more intuitive. I still had to wait 6 months until after my course and pay for an additional 7.5 hours of lessons to refresh skills. The test booking system is also quite inflexible: instead of calling and offering a date and time (bearing in mind this was 5-6 months after the course finished), they simply book you a spot, and if you’re unavailable, you have to cancel and pay another £25 to rebook. You can send a list of dates/times you’re not available, but again, if you’ve got lots on, this is a pretty clunky way to do things. Seems a bit of a money grab. Despite the structural issues with 5day, the instruction was amazing and my instructor did all that he could to prepare me for the test, making me feel relaxed and confident on the day. And it worked — I passed first time!

Jul 08,2023I did the 5Day course with James in Peterborough and I cannot recommend this course enough. James was super friendly and confident in the car which made learning much more enjoyable and easy. He explained everything extremely well and patiently. It is an intense course and can get tiring but the instructor really made me able to complete the course and took my driving ability far beyond what I thought I could achieve in 5 days. The teacher for theory, Steph, was also amazing and made the theory easy to remember and understand so that I was able to pass first time. I honestly would recommend this course so highly and despite it being driving for a long time every day the week flew by - being not only educational but also super fun! 5Day and James are really the way to go to learn to drive now.

Jun 28,2023I was taught by Tristan at the Ipswich branch.The 5 day course was amazing and I learnt so much from it.I am an older driver so I did need additional lessons with Tristan but he made sure he had space for any 5day students who needed extra lessons.The theory work was invaluable & I passed my theory 1st time at the end of the week,I also just passed my driving test today 1st time.I went from being totally and utterly inexperienced to being a confident driver in a matter of weeks.Tristan was very patient & informative & always found a way to explain things to me in a way which I would understand.I would highly recommend 5day(& Tristan) .

Jun 27,2023I had a fantastic driving instructor for my course in bury st edmunds, Tony. I could not have asked for a more patient instructer, he was always happy to explain manoeuvres several times! The theory aspect was also helpful, if slightly longer than needed. Honestly the theory could be taken on the Thursday instead of the following week. I would definitely recommend this service to friends

Jun 24,2023Had a great time with 5Day. I had Joe as my instructor who was very helpful and made sure I was as ready as I could be for my test which I passed first time with only one minor. I felt so much more confident after the week with 5Day and had a great time learning with them.

Jun 20,2023I was instructed by Chris Wise at Ipswich, and wow did we have a laugh, i learnt how to drive he taught me everything i needed to know theory wise allowing me to past both my theory and practical. He is an asset to 5day and an excellent instructor that i cant thank enough. Chris didnt teach me how to pass my test he taught me how to drive. Thankyou. Shame I passed as I enjoyed our time together

Jun 17,2023I had John Pearce in Bristol. Was very helpful throughout the week. I already had past experience and he worked with that so I wasn’t doing things I was already comfortable with. Ended up passing not so long after the course first try.

Not only that but the assistant and teaching with theory has me ready for my test. In one week I’ve become fully confident behind the wheel thanks to the help of 5Day.
