I have just finished my 5Day course, passing my theory 48/50 and my driving instructor Rafiq at Sutton Coldfield was superb. He struck the right balance between teaching, inspiring confidence and knowing when to push/challenge when I wasn’t focussed enough. Highly recommend.
Do not waste your money! You start at 9am but don't start driving until 10am because the first hour is 'theory'. From 10am to around 2.30pm you have driving lessons but that's with a lunch break in the middle. You then return to base and do two more hours of 'theory'. The instructor had an old car which was filthy, had rubbish on the back seat and dirty tissues dotted around in the front of the car. The instructor shouted everytime something was done wrong which made the driver a nervous wreck. The car had faults and the driver was told to just get used to it. On the Friday they finished at lunch time so in all there was around 18 hours driving all week. The afternoons were just sitting in a room completing theory tests with not much input from staff. I had to speak to customer services on a few occasions and I found them rude and unhelpful. Once the course had been finished the driver came away with a piece of paper with a few ticks on and no other information. Don't make the mistake we did by spending £1500 on less than 20 hours of driving and a bit of theory! Reference number NR-6P3P8 Just replying to 5.day I am not concerned that my son would not of been doing the theory test. I'm simply informing people that the course is not just driving but in fact more theory than anything. I know that my son stopped his lessons as he suffers with anxiety and did not feel that he could carry on. That's fine, I'm not trying to get a refund I'm simply saying for people to be aware that £1500 for about 20 hours of driving is a lot. He has since started driving with another company who is amazing and my son is almost ready for test. **Your driving instructor was informed that he suffers with anxiety and that he had never driven before. Again I am simply telling people that starting at 9am and finishing at 4pm to 5pm does not mean you are driving that whole time. You drive for less than half of that time and the rest is theory.
I have just passed my driving license with 0 minors faults. Thanks to a great instructor Rob Harris from Bristol centre, extremely knowledgeable, calm and very professional. It was a great choice to use 5day, I highly recommend them.
I completed my week with 5DAY in early April in St Helens, and just took my practical yesterday and passed first time with 2 minors. My instructor James was top and I would recommend him to anyone, he also squeezed me in for a private lesson the week before my test which was really helpful to ensure familiarity with the car I was completing my test in. As for 5DAY as a whole I’m not entirely sure I would recommend it, it’s pretty expensive for what you get and there are many more competitively priced fast pass courses around. I know this is justified by it being an all inclusive course where you’re taught theory etc, however the mark up simply isn’t worth it when a big chunk of the theory is doing practice tests on an app anyone can purchase for £4.99. Given the high likelihood of there being a decent wait between finishing the course and doing your test I’d also say being able to drive a family members car or taking additional private lessons after the course would be massively beneficial, without going out in my mums car a few times a week after doing the course I would not have been test ready. It got me the result I wanted though, and I went from almost zero experience to passing in under 2 months.
Although he supports Arsenal James Chambers from Peterborough was a really excellent instructor! He helped me go from 0 driving experience to almost test standard and he talked me through everything and reinforced all the basics. I really enjoyed my week and would recommend James and 5 day to anyone who needs to learn how to drive quickly. Thank you 👍
I completed the 5day course with the Peterborough branch I passed my theory test first time and feel confident going towards my practical test. I would recommend the course for those wanting to learn to drive quickly as the teaching was very clear and professional.
This company are terrible and I would urge you to choose a different provider. I did the 5DAYS intensive course a year ago at the North London Branch, passed my theory, and then was unable to book a test as my instructor and course leader both left the company! And I am unsurprised they chose to do so as they have refused to refund me for a year now after failing to supply a new instructor. Worse still, they have said I ‘must’ pay them more money to do further lessons due to how much time has elapsed - which is their fault due to staffing issues and not in my control. They have been rude and very cruel. The money I used was left by my beautiful Nan who passed away shortly before I took the course. They’re really cruel.
I done my 5day course with 5day bristol, Mo my instructor was amazing on the course, when I made mistakes he talked me through them, I'd recommend this company to anyone over any other companies that offer the same type of course. I passed my test on my first attempt, and only waited around 6 weeks.
Hi All :) I completed the training last week in Bristol, and took the practical exam this Monday. I have passed. Thanks to my instructor, John Pearce. An excellent teacher. He has a lot of patience and knowledge to pass on. I recommend him to everyone who wants to learn to drive safely and well!
I did the 5 day course with an instructor called Tristan Andrews. I just wanted to say what an amazing instructor he is. I went from 0 driving experience to passing a test in literally a week. I couldn’t recommend him more :)
My experience with my instructor James and my theory test practitioner Steph was amazing!! James Chambers from Peterborough 5 day course made me feel very comfortable from day one. I was originally very nervous but he reassured me and talked through everything I needed to know and be aware of to make sure I am test ready, and was open to questions if I had any concerns about bits I wasn’t sure on. The week was really good, I feel so confident now and can’t thank James enough! I would highly recommend him to anyone. Steph was lovely, and gave me so much information to get me ready for my theory test. Thanks to her I was able to pass my theory today with high marks! I want to thank them both for an amazing week, I am so confident now and can’t wait to have my practical driving test.
This is a review for Shaheen from 5day, my experience of the intensive course was mixed. The theory sessions were great and equipped me to pass my theory test first time. But on the practical side my instructor would only allow me drive on quiet streets for 5 days, which was not helpful at all. Luckily I was then passed on to Shaheen who took me out on the roads from day one, had lot's of patience with me and helped build my confidence. I would 100% recommend Shaheen from 5day, not so much the intensive course - but it perhaps depends on which instructor you get@
I didn't do this with zero experience. I knew what the pedals did and could drive around a quiet street. They'll start from nothing needed but I'd suggest having some prior experience. It's a lot to take in, in one week. Experience will depend on instructor I'm sure. The theory guy Mark made it clear from day one to comment if you didn't get on with your instructor. Lucky for me I got Shabana in Farsley. She didn't get frustrated. Even when I stalled 4 times in a row in traffic.
Booked my son on a course in January. Passed his theory, need a few more lessons than the 5 day so booked them. Booked and paid for test in mid Feb We are now in May and heard nothing! Still waiting!! Feel like we have been conned! 5Day, more like 5Month!!
Honestly the best driving school out there! I passed first time yesterday with 4 minors, using the West London Branch!! Thank you to Raj and Mark for being such great instructors and making me believe that I will pass first time! If you’re looking for an intensive course, I couldn’t recommend 5day enough :)
Did my training at the 5DAY Bristol branch in April. I completed my theory on the Saturday after the instruction week which they booked me in for. My instructor was Mo and he was great. He really helped me build confidence and was so patient. I did my test a couple of weeks after and passed first time with 3 minors. Couldn't be happier. Mo is the 3rd Driving instructor I have had over the last 7 years in and around Bristol and I felt the most comfortable with him from the start.
I passed my test first time with 4 minors using the 5Day Bristol Branch. A big thank you to my instructor Paul Hayward who really built up my confidence from being quite a nervous driver and was always on hand for advice and support… and not to mention a great laugh! Couldn’t recommend enough, if you want to pass quickly and get driving to a high standard, 5Day is the place to go.
I started my 5 day on the 17th April 2023 the following Saturday I did my theory and passed had my test a week later and passed first time with 3 minors. I had the absolute pleasure of working with joe donlin as my instructor. He was amazing I couldn’t have wished to have a better instructor highly recommend him. This was at the bristol centre Brislington. I will be forever grateful for everyone that helped me at 5 day especially joe.
5 Day - Bury St Edmunds. Had Tony as my instructor, he was amazing! Starting Monday I was a bit nervous and not skilled but in the space of 4 days he trained me up and made me ready for my test on the 5th day being the Friday. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, clear instructions and supportive. Also very easy to talk to and get along with. Would recommended 5 day and Tony to anyone who wants to pass quick and be an A* driver!

Jun 13,2023A great company dedicated to pass you. A welcome and positive feeling which was maintained throughout your whole experience. Flexible and helpful with regard to extra lessons and i couldn't be happier with the effort put in to find me cancellation slots. A special thank you to John, giving me the most honest and soundest advice to steer me towards being a competent driver.
