I recently passed with 5day Peterborough, was apprehensive on how the week would go, but it turned out great! James is a great driving instructor and enabled me to learn quickly. I passed first time thanks to James and 5day Peterborough!
Pwi-Ha is an amazing instructor with vast amounts of knowledge and patience. I highly recommend Pwi-Ha as a driving instructor, I went years with no lessons and grew very anxious - a lesson in with Pwi-Ha and all that disappeared. I passed first time with no minors and it is all down the the incredible person and instructor Pwi-Ha is. You won’t regret learning with her :-)
Highly recommend I did my 5DAY course with John Pearce and passed with only 1 minor. The lessons are really enjoyable and everything is explained in detail so that it is easy to understand. The theory classes that are offered also make passing the theory test a lot less stressful.
I did the 5DAY course at the Bristol Centre with John Pearce and 8 weeks later passed my driving test with only 1 minor. Great service and would recommend to anyone thinking of doing an intensive course.
EDIT: I left a booking reference with the initial review. I am reporting 5DAY to TrustPiliot. I've noticed this response on a number of negative posts; it very much feels like a tactic designed to discredit any negative posts. I am writing this after having contacted 5DAY. --- They are just booking agents. They don't care whether you pass or fail. Customer service is genuinely appalling. They literally do not care. They've just contacted me after 7 months (for the first time) to say they can't book my test because my theory test has expired. Apparently, due to the fact they have 21 test centres they can't be expected to keep customers informed. They've also informed me that they don't have a phone line that can make outgoing calls!! What exactly do they imagine I should have been doing for the past seven months? Should I have been having regular lessons ever since May to make sure I'm ready for a test seven months later?? The experience has left me livid. 5DAY is a gross exaggeration. Even 5MONTH would be an exaggeration ...
I Passed with no faults and due to the lessons, my theory test was passed no stress, would definitely recommend the course:)
I am a uni student and I cant take time off it whenever i can, so i try and sort things out when possible, and i failed my test and no one told me that I had 7 days to request mentoring, and today i tried calling up 5day and sorting things out to get mentoring and the lady on the other side was very rude and tried to get rid of me as quickly as possible, giving me no options or solutions. Really bad experience made me feel absolutely hopeless because i spent over a grand on this course and she made me feel like i just wasted my money for nothing, really bad customer service, the worst. They say i rejected support when support wasn’t even offered at the time, also they came at me saying that I didn’t read their terms and conditions about the 7 day rule, however, in their terms and conditions it states that 5day need to provide me with DL25 form so that i can request mentoring, and this form wasn’t provided or sent to me, I’ve been trying to sort this out all morning as well as my father and all we get is the phone being hang up on our faces. Absolutely terrible and unprofessional from your behalf, hope you enjoy the money you’ve stolen from me.
Brilliant staff and quality resources, id never driven a car before but James was so patient and helpful especially when dealing with an anxious first time driver like myself. I was also very apprehensive about getting my theory done the same week but Stephanie worked with us on almost a 1-1 basis every day to ensure we were ready for our theory without overwhelming us. Thank you 5day Peterborough !
I'm really struggling with this one if I am honest because I attended a Bristol course nearly 7 months ago. The theory and practice in the car was brilliant. Both class room and car instructors was brilliant and I came along way with the driving and passed my theory first time. I booked my test soon after and am still waiting for a test!! I came to you as explained because I needed to do this fast and was told on the phone your are 100% the fastest way to book a test, by your team. I have had freinds that has failed practicall test, managed to rebook and then pass in this time. 7 months and still no date given!!! Something needs to be done as I spent a lot of Money on this course as I needed my licence for a job opening which has now been taken from me due to the wait. HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. thanks Reply to my reply. This is obviously a poor set up of communication as 9 have spoken to your team several times ragarding this matter.
I took a 5 day course in may 2022 with James in peterborough. james was so good the way he taught me really helped and he was very understanding and calm when things werent going so great , was really flexible and qiuck when booking extra lessons and on the day of the test really helped having him and made the process easy so i could focuss better , easily the best instructor in the hole of peterborugh. Even though my test took a while to come it was worth it as 5 day organise the test day really well . The pheory learning you do on the course gives you the best chance of passing it and also teaches you some stuff aswell wich is good .
As a nervous driver and someone who has taken a long time to feel comfortable and confident in a car, I could not recommend 5 day enough! John in the Bristol branch was great, I passed my theory within the week and then I managed to get a cancellation practical test days later. John even moved his diary around for me to fit in a refresher lesson last minute! I passed first time with John and genuinely feel so much more confident in my driving! A great experience for any who’s had previous lessons and in need support to get test ready. Worth every penny!
If I could give Mark personally a rating I’d give him a 50/5 my 5 day course came in the middle of covid I had done a couple of lessons previously but by the end of my course still needed some driving lessons (not 100% that my instructor was the best but he wasn’t awful and I can take a while to pick things up) I rushed to do my first test between the lock down break as I knew the second one was coming I failed and consequently 5day couldn’t get me a test before my theory ran out after redoing my theory mark worked hard putting in hours with me after work to make sure I got to where I needed to be to pass he was absolutely amazing and deserves a bonus. Which led to me passing my second attempt on the 1st of November.
My driving instructor was really knowledgeable. He taught me everything I needed to pass my driving test.
It all depends on you but for me, this is by far the best way to learn to drive! Never stepped foot in a car before and 4 days later I had significant confidence and independence when driving on the road, even as someone who does suffer from quite strong anxiety! The theory involved in-between the driving was incredibly helpful, almost like a booster when used in conjunction with the app. My driving instructor was absolutely fantastic took things at a really good pace and never overwhelmed me with too much information at once. Are theory tutor was extremely knowledgeable, fun to be taught by and overall a really great experience that is well worth the money.
NOTE: Please join my Facebook group "5Day Reviews" to leave your experience there. The 5Day company does not allow reviews on their page and blocks anyone who leaves negative feedback. Booked this course in Bristol for about £1200, the first red herring was the fact I received information in the wrong name. Massive GDPR breach as it was a different student name and address! After the initial letter which doesn’t tell you much, just a date. I received nothing, no communication, or any breakdown of how the course will be ran. Upon starting the course, they don't give you «tuition». You are sat in a manky room on an ipad using an app you can download yourself for a fiver - it’s the 4 in 1 app on the Appstore to be specific. It’s 2 hours “tuition” from 8.00am until 10.00pm and then if you’re in ‘group b’ you come back at 2.00pm for your driving. However, no doubt your instructor will make it up as he goes along and ask you to come back at 3.00 maybe 3.15. That’s a lovely gap of at least 4 hours for you to waste. The tuition is a joke and an absolute WASTE of your time and money. Save your time and do it at home. While sat doing my “tuition” I overheard their instructors in the staff room saying “there are tests available, we’re just not getting them. It’s slow, we’re not managing to book any tests”. I told them after, that room in NOT soundproof, I just heard what you said and it’s concerning. I also overheard a guy in there telling his colleagues that his wife was going to ‘get sum’ that night – delightful. The driving, well, it’s driving, they don’t prepare you to drive on actual roads, it’s more an exercise to try teaching you to pass your test in the short term rather than drive safely in the long term – it’s a weird concept to explain. It’s great to pass but not when you’re not exactly a safe driver. It’s a wonder there are a few knob heads on the road, they probably came out of 5day, well the ones that could get a test out of them anyway. The instructors use tactics such as drawing a line on the door of the car to teach you to park by using it as a marker, there’s no real method they teach, and should you pass, you’ll only be able to park that one specific car in a specific way rather than a generalised parking method. My instructor crammed my driving into 4 days, not 5 because he had tests booked on the Friday – that’s fine, but it’s also flawed that the instructors do such a long day, and 5 days a week. It doesn’t give much room for testing so it’s a wonder they’re not getting the tests as suggested in their staff room. He also fell asleep several times during my lessons – I’m guessing due to the long days. Come to testing, they give you a tonnneeee of total B******T on “we scan 18 hours a day, blah, blah, blah”. Trust me, you’ll be waiting for MONTHS from finishing your course if you wait for them to get you a test. I ended up booking my own, I called them to ask for my ‘instructor’ to be available as I would like the same courtesy that was given to other students, since my Friday lesson was cancelled for the same reason. He shows up… in a TOTALLY DIFFERENT CAR. Gave me 30 minutes to get used to it before the test which consisted of driving to the test, didn’t show me where anything was for the ‘show me, tell me’ segment and due to it being different my spacial awareness in the car was affected. I know experienced drivers that take a moment to get used to a new car, let alone a new driver and with nervous energy to do a test. Moving on the customer service – the staff are VILE. I questioned why he showed up in a different car, they said it’s ‘MY’ fault as the student for booking a test without them and for not being ‘test standard’. The test they hadn’t sourced or booked for me after apparently scanning for 18 hours a day and after being signed off by my instructor as ‘test standard’. They ‘assess’ you prior to check you’re test standard, apparently, I was, so the woman on the phone was obviously not aware of their own processes . They also denied their driver would put “markers” on the car. Well, MINE DID. It’s not the done thing to show up in a different car but I was given a pre-scripted speech about how they can’t guarantee the same car, which is fine, I’m reasonable, things can happen, cars break, etc. However, they should be making this clear to their students and also giving more than a 30-minute lesson prior to the test to ensure you are comfortable in that vehicle. There’s a reason people go to their instructor for use of his car for the test! One girl on the phone, when asked her name for a complaint just said “irrelevant” and put the phone down. If you put any of this on their social media, they will also block you. Their page doesn’t allow reviews and if you comment a bad review they’ll block you – it’s sketchy AF. Looks like they report any bad reviews on here as illegal or harmful too. Shameful company. STAY WELL CLEAR.
My instructor, John, was so patient and friendly, not only did he make me feel confident but comfortable in his presence as well as on the road. I passed first time with 2 minors at the Kingswood centre, and would recommend 5Day and John to anyone.
Brilliant course that helped me pass my theory test and practical test with just 20 hours of learning. My instructor Pwi-Ha was fantastic, i couldn't have asked for anyone better to teach me, thank you. 😁
If I could give 0 I would. The only good thing is how friendly the instructor was. Most negative reviews were about people not being test ready, or it taking so long to book the test due to delays. So I done what I thought was a faultless way to not have any issues. Theory test passed, Over 30 hours driving my own car, booked the test back in April and contacted 5day and informed them I have already passed my theory and booked my test. They said it may not be the most cost effective as the cost covers a lot of theory stuff, I said that's fine, I just need that little blocked in boost of lessons just before my test. Everything was fine, paid the final amount in September ready for October. Now, first day was okay, hard to find and building not great, people are nice, instructor is lovely... but he was never told by 5day I had a test booked. So ill have no car to take the test in that I booked the entire course around and they CONFIRMED 2 times they're aware of the test. I was up all night having panic attacks due to this issue, wondering what I'm going to do and that I've paid over a grand and waited over 6 months for this, and its going to sabotage everything. The woman on the phone was so condescending, told me that "thats a risk you take" and "you chose to book the test knowing the instructor may say you aren't test ready" and I said "not being ready and being ready and the instructor not being told so isn't available are 2 VERY different things" she kept trying to tell me that they're the same thing and tried getting me to agree that its the same thing. She spoke to me like absolute trash and its DISGUSTING how I've been treated. I am 1300 down, a test I cant take that I've waited 6 months for, panic attacks and being spoken to like its my fault. Unfortunately for them, I have all the phonecalls recorded from every contact and not once does it say what she tried to tell me. NOWHERE even in their ToS does it state that if you book your own test, they will never inform the instructor until the instructor as contacted 5day and informed them I'm test ready and only THEN is he told the date of the test. Edit... I did infact complete the course. And they will never know the outcome as I booked my test privately and they have no right to my personal information. The customer service is absolutely disgusting. They caused me severe panic attacks and then blamed me for having to have the day off from driving as I didn't sleep and would have been dangerous. They still tried to ignore the fact their policy they were forcing was NOT on the terms and conditions and lied to me, spoke down to me and repeated that I agreed to something I was never told, then told me that I cant have a refund because in the T+Cs (the quoted this in the email) about having a day off means you can't get a refund anymore, but completely dodged the fact that it doesn't ANYWHERE that if you have a pre booked test, that they will not tell the instructor to ensure they're free incase you're test ready, they told me they will not tell me if the instructor was free for my test until I had completed the course. I told them than there is no benefit to ANYONE at all to withhold the information that the student has a test booked, but they don't care. Just told me "complete the course and we will tell you Friday" absolute joke Biggest scam going, please, just book a private instructor as these people who run this business are NOT for the students, they want your money and just dump you as soon as they have your money. What they do is barely legal. The bury st edmunds building is an absolute joke, no heating so my feet were like ice, run down converted garage with toilets I wouldn't set foot in again, I highly doubt they have any cleaners. The the price you pay, you would expect more than to he sitting in old school chairs, in a converted run down garage in the freezing cold and be spoken to like a criminal if you ever ask for help over the so called "customer service" if you wish to be hung up on, spoken down to and blamed and any issues ignored and hear excuses you would expect to hear from a toddler, then go ahead. The fact they have risen their proce from 1200 to 1400 is also a joke. After doing some research i found that they charge you extra at every opportunity they get and its disgusting. The driving instructors deserve better than this scam to be telling them what to do. The instructors are amazing, they love their job and you can tell. Please just find a private instructor. I am the most careful person and they still screwed me over. Wish I never paid this scam any money. I have all the calls recorded too and everyone I have shown, was absolutely disgusted with how the "lovely kind woman" on the phone spoke to someone who just paid them 1200 Additional edit as a reminder: I took the day off due to being lied to and causing severe distress. I paid 1200 to I have EVERY RIGHT to complain
Pwi- Ha was the nicest and most understanding theory teacher, everything was well presented and planned. So much easier than just practicing at home or elsewhere. Actual driving lessons, wouldn’t recommend if you’ve not had previous lessons as it’s very fast pace and you are expected to learn everything in them 5 days. Stressful. Personally had problems with my driver, just didn’t get along, very hard to get along with and making silly or sarcastic comments through out the days. Making me feel uncomfortable by the way he holds the steering wheel consistently and sometimes brushing my leg. Understandably it could happen accidentally but it was more than once or twice. Two way facing camera that wasn’t stated to me or asked for permission to be filmed at all which again is weird. Would recommend Pwi - Ha as a driving instructor out side of the course. Also Donnie is the easiest man to get along with, not having him for driving however always making sure that I was okay knowing I had issues throughout the week. Making me feel relaxed and at ease throughout the week even not being my instructor. Thankyou!

Dec 19,2022Passed with 5Day Peterborough. Massive thanks goes to James my driving instructor. What a fantastic teacher, very humble, polite and most importantly his driving technique is brilliant. Thanks James. And thank you 5Day Peterborough.
