OK so the 5 star review isn't for 5 days it's for RAF he is probably one of the best people I know I was lucky to get a guy like RAF because I'm a hard character to be around and he helped with the stuff I needed the most I do appreciate 5days as a company because I got my test the following month of completing the 5day training and now I'm a passed driver so thank you so much Raf I wish you and your family blessing in the future you deserve I'm not sure about any of the other people but guys and gyals RAF is the main man thank you again
Absolutely appalling my daughter took this course about 5 years ago in north london the instructor constantly put her down made stupid comments like women drivers and kept telling her to pull over every time he saw someone he knew plus leaving her sitting in a car on her own with the engine running which is illegal! I took it up with the company no refund nothing said daughter not ready I’m not surprised the little driving she did with them!! Shocking you might be lucky but I’m still disgusted 5 years later!!! Jenny Theodoulou As requested an update no booking ref number but 25 July 2016 rhiannon theodoulou mount pleasant - don’t touch this company!!!
I wouldn't bother, I assumed you could go from little/no experience to test ready in 5 days as described but on the 1st day the instructor told my daughter she def won't be test ready by Friday, instantly knocking her confidence, max of 4 hours driving each day and everyone had to do 2 hours of theory training, even those who had already passed their theory, the theory test has been booked for the following Tuesday where as its advertised the theory will take place in the 5days so that just delays everything, I don't think any effort was given to try to improve my daughters driving as the opinion was she won't be ready, I'd advise to have a minimum of 5 lessons before starting the 5day course but I'd also say not to bother ***Booking ref BY-ZQX34****
I came to the 5 day course, having never sat in the driver's seat before. I can gladly say that 5 days have passed and I am almost independent on the roads thanks to my amazing instructor, Raf. If you do the 5 day course in Birmingham and end up getting Raf then you are very lucky.
The whole program was brilliant. The driving instructor that I had was amazing and very patient with me as it was my first time driving. I didn’t complete the theory aspect as I had already passed, but the lessons I had each day were really well programmed to get me confident at driving. They are also excellent at finding test as I managed to pass my test within a month of my week of lessons. Thank you 5day, it was lots of fun and very speedy.
I attended the course in Bury st Edmunds, I passed my test in a month. I had Mark as my instructor and he was amazing, he made me feel so comfortable and helped me gain my confidence again. The theory lessons were also very very helpful and Paul and mark were great teachers and I learnt lots. I would definitely recommend!
Before starting the course I was so anxious about getting in the driver seat... It's now a month after starting the course and I've passed my driving test! I could not be more grateful for my instructor Alan! Very professional, Patient and an incredible instructor overall. Highly Recommended!
With only 20 of the hours actual driving, and the driver cutting every lesson 15 min short, most definitively not value for money at almost double the price of independent driver! Would not recommend, find a good instructor elsewhere.
5day is a really good course, especially to learn your theory, I personally had to get an extra couple lessons but at the end of the day it was overall very good.

Done my course in middle of May and still haven't received my test date.. even though I told them my theory runs out in September.. I've had no phone call to keep me up to date.. 1200 down the drain..
I attended 5Day Bristol earlier this year and passed my practical test at the first attempt just last week. I completed my theory test before starting with 5Day so I cannot comment on the quality of the theory prep - this review is specifically about the practical driving instruction I received. I was paired with driving instructor Mo and could not be happier with the instruction he provided. Mo was patient and calm, always putting me at ease while I was behind the wheel. He used easy to remember techniques to embed key behaviours such as mirror checking, signalling, and manoeuvres. On the first day, I naturally made many mistakes but Mo was never frustrated or impatient - just provided the right words and encouraged me to try again. He was a pleasant, calming influence beside me throughout, and at the end of the week, when Mo said he thought I was ready for the practical exam, I had full confidence in myself because of the quality of tuition I'd received. Mo and I arranged for a single 2-hour refresher session the week of my exam, just to make sure nothing had been lost in the time between the intensive course and my exam date (because I booked my test myself outside of 5Day, this gap was around 2 months, rather than the 2 weeks or so it would have been had I booked through 5Day). 5Day customer service were very responsive whenever I needed them before and during the course, but it was really the excellent instruction provided by Mo that led me to provide a 5 star review. I started the course with around 20 hours of private lessons from many years ago, and by the end of the week, Mo had me feeling ready and confident for the practical exam. I am very grateful to him for his work with me and would highly recommend him as a driving instructor to anybody.
Couldn’t have been more prepared, all down to Emilio’s teaching during the week! 5 stars!
Completed the 5day intensive course, and submitted and paid for driving test application on the 15th April. 12 weeks on and still no confirmation of a driving test, with absolutely no communication except when I contacted 5DAY myself on the 13th May. The customer service I received was rude, combative and completely lacking any compassion for my situation. It explicitly states in the Terms & Conditions sent to me when I booked onto the course that “…5DAY will fast track a driving test to be 75% sooner than the national waiting list.’ Not 'aim to' or 'up to' 75% sooner. According to 5DAY's own website the national waiting list is anything up to six months. So 75% quicker than 6 months would be 6-7 weeks. In their own YouTube video, titled ‘5DAY Your driving test fast tracked’, it is implied that if you don't have a driving test 8 weeks after the 20 hours of lessons, you will likely need to pay for driving lessons for those next 8 weeks to keep your driving skills up to standard - otherwise you could forget everything you have learnt. Does this not point to the fundamental flaw in 5DAY's business model? I have indeed had to arrange private driving lessons, costing hundreds of pounds on top of the £1200 already paid to 5DAY. Really upsetting that hard-earned savings have been invested in this and I feel like I am back to square one. Such a shame because I couldnt fault my instructor at all. I am expecting the standard response about the current backlogs across the country but what are 5DAY doing to adapt to this and still offer learners the benefits that they advertise (notably the fast tracked driving tests)? If they can't offer that, are they adjusting the course fees, marketing and terms & conditions appropriately? Have they reduced the number of learners/bookings? My guess, judging by the number of very similar complaints across review sites is that they are continuing to take people's money regardless. They do not care. I do not live locally to the Stretford centre and I have a full time job, therefore it is not feasible to be compensated with free lessons with my 5DAY instructor. I would expect compensation in the form of a partial refund of the course fee charged/paid.
Started well. Goodish course. Then all down hill. I was without a car for 3 days, the instructor then lied about the make up hours so I lost tuition, I was then ment to receive monies back for this but nope. I had an hours tuition in the new car before a test, I had no clue where certain controls where and just told to ignore them. My instructor quit the week before a test and I was basically told to suck it up nothing they can do, take the test in your own car which k couldn't do as didn't have one at the time. Still owed a refund fo missed tuition, car hire and test refund. Not holding my breath.
i had theory lesions with Steph, she was a lovely lady to be with and made me smile everyday i went in. i passed my test without a problem with her help! :)
Done my course just before covid 2019, couldn’t complete due to lessons being on hold so I didn’t manage to get my test done. I emailed 5day and they completely understood the situation, they give me a free lesson and fast tracked me for my test, luckily they give me the same instructor Raf, the 1 lesson he gave me, the first one in 2 years and he told me I was or would be test ready so I booked my test. Month later I had my driving test and today I passed! Can’t thank him enough for the knowledge he’s given me and giving me the confidence to pass first time! Thank you Raf! Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield.
Emilio is a great teacher and I honestly don’t think I would’ve passed my theory without him! He will teach you the content in an engaging and interactive manner where it will stick with you forever!
If this post can help encourage you to avoid then please read on… A driving test was booked for me on a Tuesday. They informed me of the test at 15.03 on the Friday before. I could not get the time off work so I called immediately to let them know I could not attend. They now say that because I didn’t give them three working days notice I will lose the £65.00 test fee as well at the cancellation service charge. I was not given three days notice, it was impossible for me to have done so. I could not the time off work at such short notice. The lessons are poor too. I did one test route one time. The instructor in Bristol is a nice enough person but he does not give you any skills to pass the test. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Aug 15,2022My name is Daniel and I completed the 5 day course week commencing 8th August. It is from my belief and research when people pay to complete an intense driving course it's because they do not wish to spend months or years trying to get their driving licence. Your company advertises this course as intensive however in actual facts this is not the case. You take on beginner learners only offering them 20hrs practical lessons, which is not stated in your terms or conditions. What is also not clearly stated, students who have already completed their theory test still have to sit in the theory lesson, wasting time away from valuable driving lessons for a complete beginner. You boldly advertise unlimited correction lessons however in the terms of conditions there is no mention of students having to sit a Mock test and if this is failed the student is not entitled to the correction lessons. Of all the students on my course over half failed the mock test and was told to go away and completed private lessons at £40hr after some spending almost £1500 As a driving school you are fully aware of the recommended lesson time a learner should have 40hrs plus. How do you expect complete beginners to be competent enough for their test after only 20hr lessons which is not stated. For a student who has already completed their theory test and passed they are basically paying £74hr for 20hr lessons as the theory training is pointless if a student is paying £1480. You are ripping people off and misleading customers when people currently have less money to spare. Telling a customer to book private lessons at £40hr after already paying so much is wrong. I booked this course because it is advertised as intensive and expected to be test ready with a test booked at the end. I was then advised if deemed competent by the examiner my test would be in 4-6weeks or longer and in the interim I should seek private lessons. Again there is no mention of any test delays. Don't advertise as intensive if you cannot provide the service due to the covid back log. Realistic test times scales is unclear in your terms and conditions. If you have already passed your theory and are a beginner go else where. Paying £74hr fir 20hr practical lessons is not worth it. Even if you are test ready you have to wait weeks for a test and complete private lessons in the interim at £40hr. If you are deemed not test ready then you are buggered. I was told I needed an extra 8 lessons costing another £320. Don’t waste your money!!!!!!! Edited: Thank you for getting back to my review very fast however still waiting for a response for my complaint via email. Booking reference. BY-VJJN2 Edited: they responded to my complaint appropriately and I feel fairly however I still believe 20hr lessons charged at £1480 if you have already passed your theory is too high. And if you are not test ready lessons are very gappy as you have to work round your instructors availability.
