Ref:- 39928735 Very happy with offer and now just waiting on money to be paid into my account. Would be 5 stars for handling of the case but I feel 20 working days is too long. Will update review and rating as the case progresses. Updated Upgraded to 5* as payment only took 7 working days.

Long wait for my irresponsible lending complaint but they worked on it.(first filed in January of this year) A few hiccups along the way but received my redress today. Thankyou to Natalie for all your work at putting things right. Credit to you team Thankyou

Accepted redress on 29th July, still early days yet but judging by other reviews, im not expecting the money to land in my account any time soon. Will update on how long it takes me to receive Update 14th Aug. Redress landed in account. Muchos gracias amigo

Accepted redress on 22/07/2020, I'd paid my account off in 2016. My online account changed to - £5800 on Wednesday 05/08/2020, so was expecting payout. Had a phone call yesterday (07/08/2020) to say they can't transfer to a Monzo bank account. Gave them my Halifax account details... As yet no payment gone into the bank! How hard can it actually be?? Update 10/08/2020 Received my redress this evening... Few squeeky bum days but all ended well!!!

I’ve had numerous loans since 2013 and struggled since then, especially when you’re in that vicious cycle. I complained through a company at the start of the year and my complaint was partially upheld in mid July. My guarantor declined the offer the next day, was told I would receive my offer before the 4th. Have asked for an update but have had no reply. My current loan with amigo was for £5500 taken out in early 2019, my payments are £240 pm and the balance is still £4700! They upheld the lower amount loans but firmly believe all loans were unaffordable, so have referred it to FOS. Amigo we’re not particularly helpful throughout any stage of the loans, even when wanting to pay less.. Update: Still no offer of redress, even though my guarantor declined their offer nearly a month ago. No contact or update at all. 45895524

UPDATE: ACCEPTED REDRESS ON 10/08/2020 and just recieved full figure in my bank account! Extremely impressed with the efficiency once accepted. Happy days - have faith guys! 🤞🏼 It has now been over 10 weeks since my complaint was acknowledged. The loan is paid off so I do not understand why it is taking so long. I have been extremely patient but am hoping I will hear back soon?! I emailed a few days ago and got a response saying my complaint is yet to be investigated and is delayed. Does this mean it has not even been started looking at?! Update: received my final decision. Will update when I have actually received the redress!

Sent an affordability complaint through a CMC which was submitted in May. To be fair the CMC were useless so dis-intructed them due to no communication. Apparently Amigo couldnt find my details as it was from 2014 without an agreement number. Finally found an old email address with my agreement number and since then nothing. Got an email acknowledging the complaint saying they had 8 weeks. I have emailed everyday saying that the complaint was made in May. 8 weeks are well and truly over. All I can do is continue to chase but so far it is a joke. It is straightforward complaint, I was late paying most months and genuinely couldn't afford it. Will chase every day until this is resolved.

Agreement number 43064192 I was frustrated at first but then realised there work load and the covid. I've since re thought what they are going through and at the start was as angry as some of the customers on here yet they have done everything they could to help me with there time lines and even had a call from a lovely lady who has been chasing things up for me even ringing me well after 6 o'clock when they are closed I am 7 days into my 15 days on waiting for payment and understand thats my time line anything earlier would be a huge bonus as off work with cancer so the early payment would see me through for a few months and help me fight off the bills.but that's not amigos fault its just unlucky timing getting cancer. So when I get to 15 days and get no readress will speak to customer service but I'm confident my time lines will be met. Thank you

Amigo are now stalling on my redress payment, I was told funds would be with me between the 28/07 and 4/08 but today I've been told payments are now taking upto 20 days which takes me to Wed of next week. Is anyone else in same boat? My account was paid up 11 years ago and I'm really happy to get back what I'm getying but now wondering if it will ever reach me 😢

Communication with Amigo has been extremely poor. Left on hold for over 30 minutes at a time only to be told that my redress payment ‘should’ be made within 20 working days. I see that others are being told 15 working days..... I’ve sent 2 emails, a week apart, to the Ops Director and to date haven’t had a response! I agree with many other customers when they say that if we were ‘late’ in making payment to them then we would be bombarded with letters, texts, phone calls and e mails. The company has agreed a redress figure and have my bank details - why on earth does it take so long for a bank transfer to be made? If they were issuing a loan then we all know it can be done quickly....... I have been left living off less than £20 a week as a result of losing my job due to Covid-19 so this redress payment is incredibly important to me. I’m disgusted that it’s taking so long and have lost all faith in the company as a result of the complete lack of communication. UPDATE - 11/8/20 Still no sign of a payment. Have called numerous times to be given conflicting information; one lady said it would be 15 working days, another says 20......Apparently we are in a queue based on when offers were accepted but others on here have received their payments and accepted the offer AFTER me! How is that fair? Massively disappointed and left not knowing what to believe! FURTHER UPDATE - 17/8/20. Have just spent over 20 minutes on the phone with someone called ‘Rob’ and have now been told that I have to wait up to 35 working days from date of acceptance of offer! I am so annoyed that I continue to receive conflicting information (15, 20 and now 35 working days!) and when I asked to speak to a supervisor or head of complaints dept I was told that this individual isn’t ‘customer facing!’ How on earth is the head of a customer complaints dept not customer facing? This has all become farcical. I am now in the process of making a complaint to FOS.

Complaints made in March , upheld on the 10th July, figures received on the 29th as promised and accepted on the 30th July, mentioned 15 working days to be paid. Really happy with the service to date, all agents have been lovely on the phones, really hope its paid out in the time frame promised. Update was paid last night 4th August thankyou Amigo 5 star service

As in previous review we are soo far happy with our complaint process. It did take 22 weeks for them to make a decision but since then it’s been a quick and painless process. Recieved our figure on the 23rd July and rang on 24th to accept it. Was told 15 working days for refund to be paid out. Woke up this morning and our account has been settled and closed, it says payment has been made so hoping to receive it in the next day or so Edit- Iv changed the review to 5 stars as redress has just landed In my account! Happy days and GOOD BYE AMIGO 😂

Very expensive form of lending. Was paying off the interest for most of the last 5 years. My business went under, I became a single parent on benefits and although they did reduce my payments, they refuse to lower them anymore . Asked for a payment holiday when covid hit. They refused. 8 months left and I can't wait to be free of them. Please avoid, it's just not worth it.

My complaint has been with a complaint handler for over two weeks got told it wouldn’t take longer than a week staff just say u will get a email wen it’s dealt with get told all different things My reference 42231967 I’m fed up of being fobbed off

UPDATE 07/08/20 I have today received my refund payment, 5 days after the 15 day time frame. But has been transferred, so they are coming. Absolutely appalling company. I’m now past the 15 working days and still no refund. This company refuse to reply to emails and messages on Facebook. Staff are rude on the phone and very unhelpful. Would give zero stars if possible. Stay away and do not use!

** update 5/08/2020 redress received evening of 4/08/2020 ** - Well I had this below email from amigo stating their process but technically now I am on day 40 which has now passed their process. To then be told the 3rd party I went through to claim did not send Amigo my acceptance. I I emailed the 3rd party and they forwarded me the email they had sent to amigo with my acceptance. Amigo are clearly just making excuses!! Day 0 - when we issued our Final Response to you and a redress offer to your guarantor. This is what we call Day 0. Days 0 - 14 - This is the time we allow for the guarantor to accept or decline the redress offer. Once day 14 has passed, the offer expires and we move on to the next phase. Days 15 - 20 - This is after the guarantors redress offer has expired and we will work out your redress from the response they have given. Please note if a guarantor was to reply on day 0, for example, we would have to wait for the offer to expire in any case they change their mind or have any further questions to ask. . Days 20 - 35 - This is the time frame we allow for you to respond to your redress offer and for us to issue our refunds/redress', as what would be stated on the final redress letter.

I have breathing space with amigo loans until 1st September. I checked my account today they taken money out and it's 3rd of August. They cause my other bills to default and my account to go overdrawn. Can't sleep now stressing about all of this and it's 1.30 in morning. Worst people ever lied about breathing space... Not to mention i have text proof sent two days ago that breathing space was extended. Worst part after affordablity complaint I agreed to offer. Lady I spoke to said she would extend breathing space til october. All bunch of lies So much for making life easier for people struggling over covid.

It’s been a stressful struggle but we got there and hopefully this gives someone some encouragement ... 7 months after the complaint was submitted and 7 weeks after the redress was accepted the money was finally transferred across! It is challenging but don’t give up! Good luck

Still waiting on redress payment even though an offer was made on the 9th of june! Spoke to someone today who said the payment was released on the 27th of July but still not received anything in the bank. *Update Still no payment and its the 6th of august

Utter bullies! Their attitude towards me and my guarantor totally changed once I filed an affordability complaint. They suddenly became this caring understanding company when previously they were harsh and heartless. Took 5 months to respond to my affordability complaint and 4 months for my SAR. Complaint upheld but now waiting for my refund. Can’t wait to be shot of these people. 3 years they have stressed me out to no end in already difficult times.
