My husband was due a guarantor refund on a loan I had with Amigo. He has rang about 10times to ask where it is, each time he has been told a different date and just advised to wait as nothing they can do.. we spoke to someone different today and turns out the refund was sent on the 5th of August but we didn’t receive it!! If we had been told this straight away we could of got this sorted by now. Instead we are now having to go through the process of proving we didn’t receive it and waiting for what will happen next!!!
12 weeks after redress was meant to be paid. Not replying to my emails. Won’t give me a contact number or an email address as to whom is working on this. Can’t explain to me what is going on. Can’t give me a time scale of when this will be sorted. Absolute joke of a company. Quick enough to badger you when you’re late to make a payment, 12 weeks late paying me and getting no where with anyone! Financial ombudsman has now picked this up. Absolutely shocking customer service. I wouldn’t mind, I’m not asking for the repayments back. All I’m asking for is the unlawful interest back that I paid. Shocking how this has been handled. Many many other cases sorted before mine. This has been going on since before Christmas last year. Shocking!
I’ve just got off the phone to a lovely lady named Tammy she helped me feel like I could put myself in a better position with my loan. Could not fault her for doing whatever she could to make me happy. I hope she will get to see this. Will definitely call back if need any help in the future.
The complaints process is absolutely dreadful. After both my complaint and the borrowers were upheld on 25th of June and I accepted the same day. The borrower has not received any redress figures and I am still waiting for my payment. This is now 40 working days. The FCA should investigate this company again and ensure they have a controlled complaints process.
They have had my complaint since the 20th of may, I was told last week by someone on email that they had started looking into my complaint on the 22nd July which is now 4 weeks ago I haven’t heard anything. Surely it doesn’t take this long to come to a decision? Will update if I hear anything
Put my complaint in back in June, redress offered 10th August, accepted 17th August, just waiting on my refund now. Complaint answered within time specified and final outcome, I can see unfortunately a lot of people have been waiting longer than me. So far agents been friendly and helpful and I’m pleased with service and outcome from the complaint. Negatives - they had the wrong email address for me so I didn’t actually see the redress when it was sent out, the redress was also sitting as a notification on my online account and initially accepted on 12th August , however thought I would ring in to check on 17th August that all had gone through ok, when I did they stated they had received no notification from my account of acceptance meaning I had to start all over again from the 20 working days refund time scale from the 17th which was really disappointing. Not really sure why it takes so long to do a BACS transfer considering they can transfer the initial loan out to you the same day or next after application. I did ask and they said they have so many refunds to give this is why. Also does not make sense to me that I’m due a refund yet expected to still make monthly payments until the refund is paid, also potentially get a late payment mark if I don’t pay on time. All resolved with Steven who was very helpful and turned the direct debit off for me, it was only because my account is in credit that I won’t get a late payment mark , however if I didn’t have this then I would potentially get one- it just doesn’t make sense but hey ho all sorted and happy. Got the email address deleted by Louise ,super friendly lady and reassuring ! Let’s hope it hits my account within or before the 20 working days are up! Overall I’m satisfied and was lucky to have friendly advisors and call waiting times on phones were fine and not long at all.
Good experience everything done in the time frame mentioned just waiting on my redress payment going in the back accepted on 17/08/2020 and my account to be cleared, will update when received
I have seen this on your website can you explain why I'm still wateing for a reply but there is alot of people who put there complaint in months after me already have a final response? What you have on your site is misleading and a complete lie. I hope the fca gets wind of this. Scammers who are abusive, lend to people without affordability checks. Abuse guarantors in any way possible, to force them to pay back money that they have never borrowed. Threaten to repossess your home when that is illegal. Avoid at all costs as they are loan sharks. Staff are vermin they are rude and unhelpful. The government need to close them down! Would rather have 100 payday loans than 1 with them. Add on ridiculous amounts of interest, even when loan is in default and the person is clearly in financial difficulty.
Had a loan for a couple of years with these guys, my guarantor started making trouble for me, Amigo cleared the situation up n helped me through a very distressing time. Can't fault them at all 🙂🙂
I have started a complaint on the 14th May 2020, through a company called clear Legal marketing ltd. I did not get a response within 8 weeks so this was referred to FOS with a 3 month SLA, got a response from Amigo who advised they are unable to locate me in there system, but they continue to take £355 a month from my account. Hopefully they come back soon as all information can be provided for initial loan agreement to yearly statements and all payment history which is in there app! Please reply and stop dragging your heels with this! *UPDATE* (21/08/20) I have had an email advising there was a problem on there side causing the complaint not to be raised, this has been picked up and worked as a priority, hopefully should have an update within next couple of days.
Shambolic customer service. I accepted an off of redress on 17th of June after 6 months of waiting for them to reply. My original enquiry got ignored and then rejected. I Had to go through FOS for them to change their mind which is a disgrace in itself. I have then been ignored for 8 weeks ive not even been given the figures. I have rang up and been fobbed off 3 times. The case handler Jamie is an utter disgrace, her ignorance is on another level. I have asked questions which ive had no reply to. I just got one email asking for my gaurantors details of whom they haven't even got in touch with either. Just pure delay tactics and heel dragging. Even an explination is too hard to ask for as a lot of people have said theyre quick enough taking money off people and are straight in touch if payment is needed or late
Made the complaint on May 4th. Accepted redress 14th August. They can pay into a Monzo account as long as you send screenshot of bank statement. Louise was very helpful on the phone. Everyone is complaining about the interest, it was there in bold before you took the loan out?! Been told to wait 20 working days for payout, time will tell but I am confident I will receive it.
Would not recommend amigo for a loan in every way exfreamly intrusive overwhelming bullying is the best word to do scribe the experience I had from every level. Paid off my small loan early because of the constant pressure for absoultly no reason. The communication internally lead me to file a legal complaint of harassment stay away
Sent my complaint in on 4th may. Was assured that complaints were being dealt with in the order they were submitted but have seen many others who submitted after me that have been dealt with. Have put off referring to FOS in good faith that my complaint would be dealt with soon judging by others having their response. Seem to be using delaying tactics at this point. Very disappointed.

As Guarantor they made me an offer and I have accepted and provided bank details yet they have paid me nothing. The email responses take about a week and are very poor. Stay well clear. Quick to take you to court years ago and take your money but not quick to refund. I have gone to FOS with my daughter. Appalling.
Hi I currently have a irresponsible lending claim ongoing with Allegiant reference X234721 which was sent to Amigo on the 03/06/2020.. Allegiant sent me an email yesterday confirming they still haven’t received a response from you.. would you be able to take a look and confirm you are in receipt of my claim? My current agreement is 22728087. Thanks 14.08.2020 would someone at Amigo please provide an update with regards to my complaint? 16.08.2020 Still no update, I know my claim has been picked up as I was initially entitled to top up but this option has now been removed.. any update would be appreciated. 18.08.2020 Still no update! No response to emails or calls!..very upsetting. 21.08.2020 Now over 12 weeks still no update.. I’ve also noticed they have now stopped answering our reviews left on here! Very professional. 27.08.2020 Nearly 13 weeks since Allegiant submitted my claim to Amigo and still haven’t heard anything.. I was advised by Allegiant that Amigo was given extra time up to 16 weeks to provide a response due to complaint backlogs and I should wait.. I chose to pass this over to the FOS as 12 weeks has passed... if I would of missed a payment I don’t think extra time would have been given to me!!! 3.09.2020 It’s been another week and still no update from Amigo, FOS have now had my complaint for 2 weeks.. 6 weeks to go until I hopefully receive a redress figure. 09.09.2020 yet it seems another week has nearly passed and still no response from Amigo.. I’ve sent several emails to (complaints @amigoloans.co.uk)simply for a update and nothing..please someone get back to me.
I have put in an affordability complaint to amigo loans back on the 20/05/20 it is now 12 weeks 1 day later and I have had an e-mail from them to say they apologise for the delay as they are experiencing a large number of enquiries and the Covid-19 crisis has impacted their ability to respond quickly. obviously we all understand this, lets hope they respond soon. Interests are ridiculously high.during the covid 19 I just a newborn baby and they kept ringing my phone for money.no support all they want is money they do not care about there customers.i will never recommend them no anyone not even for emergency.I will let newspapers such as the daily mail know about this.
