Really pleased with the Amigo Complaint process so far. Received my redress figure by email 10 days ago and now waiting on the funds being transferred. I spoke to a girl with my account details who was really friendly and helpful. Will update when I receive my funds but don’t think it will be long. **UPDATE Received an email this morning to say my funds were released. By 1.30 I received the redress figure in my bank account. What an amazing birthday surprise. The Amigo staff have been amazing throughout and kept me updated with every little little detail. Thank you so much

Run as fast as you can from them, THINK hundreds of times if it's worth it. If you have a small stress about your cash and you make the mistake to borrow from #AMIGO DEFINITELY this will be the BIGGEST WRONG Decision in your life as a Borrower and as a Guarantor. More stress!!!

Reference: 42132290 Put my complaint in back in May and finally received an email to say this was upheld in July after 13 weeks. Guarantor accepted his payment being refunded on the 7th August and still has not received his payment despite being over the 15 working days advised. Looking at the reviews on this site people who have accepted after the 7th August have already been paid out so it is not paid in order like they try to make you believe. I was told my redress figures would be sent no later than the 18th August yet I have still not received my figures. Guarantor has been advised to wait the full twenty working days which went by this Friday. He has been advised to wait a further five working days taking it to next Friday and if money still not in then to raise a dispute with his bank that his agreed refund has not been returned to him. Will update FOS accordingly with screenshots from other reviews on here to prove that they are not working fairly in terms of making refund payments. If by some stroke of luck he has the money returned and I have my figures then I will update accordingly on here. Update 8/9/20 finally received my own redress figures and accepted however we are now working day number 22 and guarantor has still received no refund as promised. Update 9/9/20 amigo ignoring all emails sent to them in relation to the money not being paid out from 7th August. Also since then more people are writing reviews to say they’ve accepted their offers way after the 7th of August had have already had their money. It’s not even complicated. Everything has been agreed and accepted the money literally just needs to be transferred!! Update 11/9/20 no redress received and we are now at 25 working days. All emails ignored however received a separate email today telling me I need to log on and reaccept my offer again. Phoned amigo up as there is no option to accept again and no one has a clue what they're talking about. Beginning to wonder if anyone ever actually receives their money or if there are fake reviews on here! Update 24/9/20 - still no refund to guarantor Working day 34 and online account does not reflect any changes. Was told it would be in by tomorrow at the latest so they have 24 hours to keep to that promise. Will update if they do.

***Edit*** in regards to the reply: The only banner on the app when I logged in to track my account was that I am eligible to apply for a top-up from September 4th. Nothing to do with the bullshart government key workers list. You’re meant to be a business that i assume offers these loans to make money not out of the goodness of your heart. Surely it would make business sense to review individual cases from the get go, but looking at the other reviews and how you’ve responded I guess you couldn’t organise a piddle-up in a brewery*** ***Edit*** Initially they were great - 5 stars. The application process is easy. The response times fast. The app is easy to use. The repayments and being able to make extra payments is a great feature of the app. I’m just really angered by their response to my top-up. *** End edit *** Applied for a top-up loan after having been with Amigo for a year only to be denied as not being on a list of Government Key Workers. Despite being furloughed mid-March to the start of May I never took a payment holiday and not only continued to pay my loan I also made additional payments towards the interest that’s added on each month. I’m pretty pissed off that the loan was denied on the basis I’m not a government approved key worker, despite being back to work full time since May 6th. Amigo have happily continued to take the payments without any concern about being a key worker. Surely if I’m not a key worker I should be given an automatic payment holiday and have all interest frozen until the government list is updated? Or maybe it would make more sense to look at individual cases? I’d understand if I’d failed checks, couldn’t afford the repayments or had missed payments with my original loan - but I haven’t. They get you to jump through the application hoops only to give you a call and deny it based on one pointless list.

Amigo agreed to compensate me for being guarantor but told me would take up to 35 working days!! Spouted things about checks to be made etc. However on reading reviews here and seeing that others are being paid much sooner and some almost immediately I have just emailed them asking for immediate payment. They also took months rather than the 8 weeks to give me their decision. I had been guarantor for my husband who died in March and can do without being messed about.

Very bad company....they have treated me extremely badly during the Covid pandemic... Threatening me about payments etc ...I asked for a break during Covid and they said no ...I had temporarily went out of work and was on 203 per week and after bills I had 3 euros left and they said then I could still afford to pay them over 300 per month. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

Nothing even been updated on my account so know it isn't coming anytime soon! Wasn't going to bother with the FOS due to recieving my redress but will be going that way if funds aren't recieved by friday!!!! SORT IT OUT AMIGO!!!!!! Recieved my redress figures within the 8 weeks period.. fine.. I have now been waiting since the 13th of August for payment and still haven't recieve it! Very generic replies! A futhur complaint will be on the cards I think!

My affordability complaint was upheld, and redress provided/balance capped at capital amount....so I didn't pay a penny more than amount borrowed. Payment holiday in place, and they've started slapping on interest again. I emailed complaints a week ago, but no reply. Disgusting and sneaky.

So after waiting since the 13th May I finally get my letter of acceptance- i must say the letter stated 9 working days till I get the figure but have just received them so so far with this part of the process I’m a bit happier. It states to go on to my account to agree it but there isn’t anything there so will need to contact them tomorrow. Hopefully once agreed payment in my account won’t Be too long... fingers crossed

I was happy with the service I received until I done a complaint... my complaint was dealt with within 10 weeks and figures were quick so happy with that... now I am waiting for the money to hit my account this is the issue been told upto 20 working days which I dont understand as it only takes upto 48 hours to get a loan !! Told it's all in date order .. which is a lie when others have got their a day or 2 later seems to me if you owe them money its dealt with quicker so the numbers look good to fos .. it's a joke and I shouldn't have to beg for money that is owed to me !!!! Edit ## On 17 working days now and still waiting !! Will update when I recieved money as I'm being told lie after lie #####

Phone Amigo just as they advised people to due to covid. Went through expenditures as I can’t afford the full £400 a month at the moment. They were not interested and said “we’ll just take the money off the guarantor”. No point having the covid page on their site as they couldn’t care less. Avoid

Someone used my name to log a false 5 star comment on trustpilot.... really not happy Makes you wonder if the redress compliments are genuine or email addresses are being fraudulently used to up the rating. Update after reply... To have the same name is one thing, to use my email address so I recieve the comment from trust pilot is quite another. This was nothing short of fraudulent and I am having to use a different email address to post this comment.

38 working days have now passed, I have been told as of today I had been given the wrong figures and they are now in the process of sorting it, do I know what this means no i don't. So now they are saying another 20 working days and now I do not even know if I will receive anything, this complaint is not being upheld professionally, I am sure I am not the only one this has happened too, literally back to square one now. I was actually told on Wednesday that it was the redress was paid out on august the 7th and then after another phone they said there had been a mix up in the figures, come on guys which one was it? Promise to phone you back in an hour , promise to write you a letter, promise to let you speak to the tooth fairy blah blah

started my claim middle of june no response within the 8 week time frame given ! made several offers to clear the outstanding balance back in nov 2018 because i simply had no job and no money to clear the balance in full and by the way had already paid back £9000 ! despite mental health and even suicide issues they were not interested at all in helping my cause ! i had no job at the time of the top up loan and awful credit despite this amigo topped up the loan !

I made an affordability complaint to Amigo in July and recently received a reply to advise this isn't being upheld....basically stating all checks around my affordability were completed and they deem me able to afford. I, like others, have paid back on time and to date paid back over 8,000 more than borrowed with a further 22 months to go. I struggle to pay 395.00 monthly but never missed even though this has meant I miss paying other bill's. So, should I raise my complaint to FCO or is this likely to be rejected too? Any advice will be gratefully received. Thanks

Received redress offer Friday 21st. Myself and guarantor have made numerous calls and replies to emails accepting the offer. My frustration comes down to, how can they payout a loan within 48 hours but these redress payouts can take upto 15 working days. No help on the phone nor replying to emails sent to different email forums aswell. From seeing news feed and forum reviews it worries me that I won't eventually get paid out at all..... Will update review on response or payout being resolved
