This loan company is the worst. My sister every day has chased this company for her refund. She was promised a call days ago from a manager as she desperately needs her refund to locate away from a violent partner. The police and other agencies are involved. She has submitted police crime numbers and other relevant information and still they are holding on to her money. Money that was payments she made after the scheme went into force. This money would help her relocate to a safe place with her 12 year old son. You are a apsolute disgrace and you are leaving vulnerable people in danger. Someone should surely investigate these payments now as they are continually moving deadlines.

It is just taking to long for them to pay us back now ! Every time it’s due to be paid they make up some other excuse and the date they say they are going to pay gets moved back again and again ! They say it’s between April - May now but then you have to wait 30 days from your email so even if they don’t change it again , and we all know they will ! You won’t see anything until June -July . Then of course there’s the 17p per pound which is really low anyway I can almost guarantee they will lower it from 17p to something stupid like 12p . Sorry to sound so doom and gloom I just do not have any faith in this at all .

Please can you just pay your customers what you owe them. We have been waiting for far too long to then find out we are not even getting half of our money back. I have a disabled mum who borrowed the money to pay it off as she was my guarantor, I couldn’t offered the interest that was put on the loan and also the loan in the first place to be honest and unfortunately she’s still waiting to receive the money to pay the money she borrowed as we were promised if we paid it off we could get our money back. I just think it’s fair if you start the payments to those who have accepted there claim, it’s only right so please put this right for all of us.

After being told that this company would pay redress claims by the end of February, surprise surprise the money has not appeared in my account and once again this bunch of thieves and fraudsters are playing for time again. I implore everyone that is thinking of getting a loan with this load of disgusting con merchants avoid them like the plague. They are literally the dregs at the bottom of the barrel !!

Never, never, never get a loan from this company. They fraudulently sell you a loan and then end up having many compensation claims lodged against them which they then can’t pay. They then apply to the High Court who incredibly allow them to stay in business ( obviously as crooked as they are) and then take forever to agree to pay back these claims at 17 pence in the pound. Fraudulent and bent through and through. Disgraceful company. Under no circumstances, even if your situation is desperate, borrow money from these sharks. They are a bunch of thieves who should be in jail !!

After I had taken a loan of of 10,000, in 2018. Covid then hit in 2019, I was in debt already by around 4,000. My loan has come to an end a few months ago thank god. This must be one of the worst companies I’ve ever come across, they are no different then the loan sharks you see in movies, where if you don’t pay up, they come after you physically. The only difference is here this company bullies you, hounds you through letters and text messages and then hound your guarantor, absolutely disgusting. When I was in debt after Covid, I just happened to look at my statements thinking why is my amount not going down. Only to find out an additional £295 every month was being added to my loan because I was in arrears. I made sure I would clear this loan and the arrears to never be associated with a company like this ever again. They deserve to be taken down. The funny thing was when my loan was coming to an end I had an accounts manager trying to persuade me to spread my last payment out because he thought I can’t afford the last payment and they will send a default latter out to me in 7 days. I couldn’t stop laughing thinking you absolute idiot, watch me pay this off in 7 days, and I did. Dear rip offs, Just pay people what you owe them, you have affected peoples mental well being and their overall health. You ripped me off as well as thousands more people. I have probably paid you £20,000 in total. Absolute joke. Empower yourselves everyone go through your statements and check everything and challenge them. Debt is the biggest economy. Pay off your loan and be rid of this company. Signing off

I would not recommend this company to anyone not only because they are going into a scheme but they don't hold there side of the agreement. Like several people who have had loans with them I am paying huge amount of interest over treble the loan amount. I have been told several months ago I would get a redress by end of October 2023 and still have received nothing yet if I owed them £1 they would be contact with me demanding payment and threatening me with court action and threatening my guarantor to take the money from her account. Every time I email them they say they can't give dates when I will get my money that they owe me. Each month it gets put back to another month. How do they get away with this by financial ombudsman. This company will break people's mental health if they carry on like this and will cause many suicides because customers are expecting payment to settle other financial commitments but can't because this company keeps putting payment dates back. I have all my email trails from this company where they say you'll get your money by end of October. Stay away from this company you'll regret it for the rest of your life.

I agreed to be a guarantor for my husband with this charlatan company. Eventually our (his debts that I covered) were so big I had to take out a Trust Deed in order to manage my payments. I was told by the TD (It was Andrew Wilkinson but is now Carrington Dean) that even thought I was ONLY a guarantor and the debt was in my husband's name that hte Amigonloan would be included on the TD. Months after my TD was cleared Lanter Debt Collectors have been hassling me to cover the full amount of the Amigo loan. Ibhave spoken to many friends in Finance, HMRC and they are certain Amigo are at it amd trying to claim back the money again. Please do not use.

I made a complaint years ago regarding the loan that was offered to a loanee that I am effectively acting as guarantor for, stating clearly that they shouldn't have been offered this loan as they would struggle to pay it back. They are struggling to pay it back and have come to an agreement which will keep them in debt for far longer than was ever agreed upon. My complaint (s) have gone unanswered... Never ever act as a guarantor for this company...

Worse company ever. I got a £7,500 load by the times its paid of I would have paid nearly £18,000. That's around £10,000 extra that could have been helping with the cost of living. These been no updates on the scheme and when we will get what we are owed. They're quick enough to take it from you.

I got a loan paid €5000 I paid regularly for the 1st year not missing a month maybe a few days late but that was it, then Covid happened I tryed not to look at the loan as it would drive me mad I had no way to pay anyway when I got back to work I resumed at one point giving €110 a week for atleast 4 months on top of my monthly €243 some of those months when it was good for me money wise.. anyway after this I decided to check my account I had paid €6000+ and I still owed €6000 how can you do this since then I stopped said f them no way I’d go to jail before I’m raped in public by gangsters with a company.. they have since snuke a few monthly’s from my account and I was thinking ok so I did accept to pay 7 k back so it’s really my fault. But got a letter for court today so after paying 7kish on a 5k loan I’m summoned to court for another €5000 how can they do this it’s absolutely ridiculous… be prepared to lock me up because you are not getting another cent shower of crooks

Spoke to Kerry today, extremely helpful offered me assistance I didn't even thought I needed, from start to finish. I can't express how much that call meant to me, his experience isn't just that of a loan adviser, but much more he listened to me and took it even further to ensure not only the best solution for the query at hand but also, one that helped my personal need as well, a true asset. THANK YOU!

I took out a loan with Amigo, like many others over Covid I wasn’t working like everyone else in the world, my interest kept building, I went into debt in arrears of 3k. When I got my old job back I was paying off the arrears plus an extra £200 a month that kept adding on because I was in arrears. No one ever reach out to me to try and help, or even told me I was chasing my tail until I sat down with a family member who leant me the money to pay off the arrears. At the end of this year the loan will have finished. Like many others no one has heard any update about the scheme. They should shut amigo loans down. Stop lending to poor innocent people and stop taking advantage of them.
