Worse company ever ! They charge high amount of interest , and if you dont settle you debit card to them is about 100£ interest , they are absolutely robbers , i am excited to pay all my loan soon and tell them what a rubbish company they are I hope one day they get on bunkrupt They deserve it .
Avoid at any cost! Constant harassment and problems with payments. Amigo is double charging the borrower and also the guarantor (without the word of confirmation!!!) Extremely hard to get the money back. This company is operating like mafia. Stay away. You have been warned!
Really poor customer service, got my loan arranged by one staff member that seemed decent and then my Guarantor(my mother) was called by another staff member to confirm details and they said my mother had poor english and that she couldnt understand the language, which resulted in the loan denied.. dont recommend this to anyone, really bad experience, staff does not want to help at all. although my mother was understanding everything she just had little trouble speaking out she even confirmed she understood everything.
irresponsibly lends to vulnerable people. Made an irresponsible lending complaint and Amigo did not uphold it however the financial ombudsman did so I won against Amigo. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!
So I have really been struggling with my mental health for the past few months. I got a friend to speak to Amigo loans back in October for me and he managed to set up a long term payment plan as I was struggling with my payments due to being off sick. They were absolutely amazing with him. Unfortunately he passed away a few weeks ago from COVID-19. I missed last months payment as he would usually make the payments for me and I would just pay him. I phoned them this morning to explain the circumstances and I must say the woman on the phone was absolutely amazing. She asked me how I was feeling and all sorts and made me feel so comfortable. I don’t handle phone calls very well hence the reason a friend was dealing with everything for me. I can honestly say I didn’t expect it to go that well as I was really nervous but I cannot thank her enough!! I feel so much better after the phone call about the money situation. She knows everything I have written about above so if somehow this could get back to her I would really appreciate that, she should be given the appreciation she deserves. She was so genuine and asked me how I was feeling and if I was okay. I know that’s not her job role however she went above and beyond. It was really really appreciated. I can’t remember her name, the beginning of the conversation went so quick as I was so nervous, but I soon calmed down once I realised I had nothing to be nervous about. Thank you!!!

Very very poor complaint handling 21 weeks in to my complaint and no final response! Spoke to complaints team last week to be told my complaint had been reviewed and to expect an outcome by the end of this week! Emailed yesterday for an update and today I received an email to say my complaint has not been investigated yet!!!! fail to respond to the financial ombudsman! This is the worse company I’ve ever had to deal with. You cannot blame COVID19 as you already had the full 12 weeks to resolve my complaint before lockdown. I would also like to make people aware that amigo state they deal with complaints in chronological order this is not the case as I’ve read on other website people have had their final responses to their complaints even though their complaints went in after mine! Very unfair and they have no clue how to respond to complaints.
Disappointed my guarantor have God score in his card as they rejected they don't have experience with costumer send 1000 emails with non result all is defended by covid, I'm key worker my guarantor aswell just them don't ask for more info ,how they know about guarantor if them didn't ask about his work about to check credit score only they send mail to make a job easy answer an automatically..
Very disappointed with this company and I will tell you why. During corona virus my job was stopped so I had no money coming in until the furlough was arranged much later. My loan payment was due on 7 th of April 2020. I was able to pay it on the 14 th of April 2020. However they still sent that information to CRA’s and now my credit rating has been affected and it’s not the correct information. In fact it suggests that I never made the payment. This is not true. Be careful with this bunch. They pretend they care but actually they don’t. Other companies have been much more understanding considering this situation is beyond anyone’s control. I paid in within the two week period and yet I am still penalised for it. Not happy. I won’t be recommending this company to anyone.
I do not agree with amigo loans interest rate , I am regretting it now, I took a loan of £5000, I didn't actually realise the interest would be this high, I've paid £2561 but it has only gone down by 200 or so pounds. I will advise everyone to stay away from Amigo loans. My biggest regret.
Easy system seams very efficiemt
Be very careful if you choose to get a loan from them. They are nothing but pains that refuse your rights to infarct pay them as they will then refund it back to you. I have now got the osbusman invoild and might take them to court for all the hassle they are coursing me.

They are disgusting and have broken my family really bad I warn everyone seeing this message to stay away from this loan company.They lie numerous of times and try make you believe there words I borrowed a 4,750 loan and they are telling me now in the next 2 years I owe them 11,000 they have broken me and my family
These people are absolutely terrible. My wages were late and within 3 hours they was onto my guarantor. They flout the rules . They are supposed to contact your guarantor after 11 days not 3 hours. If your looking for a loan I would strongly say dont use amigo.

So amigo loans cant give you a 3 month holiday or freeze the interest under covid 19 dont understand how when all my other DECENT creditors can as I thought it was law STAY well away from this company this company will send you over the edge SUICIDE
Why are you sending on default notices when you are aware of the current situation. Sending notices to my Guarantor text messages asking if she can pay..Until this lockdown I had never missed a payment at all.There was an agreement put in place and as I am a Chef my hotel is closed until at least the end of June not my decision .Makes it worse as my guarantor is a nurse and I think these stupid and ill thought out notices and texts show what an EVIL Company you are.. I hope the Government and the FSA look into this company...As for recent Great comments your supposedly getting how is it if these aren't employers putting great reviews about a crap company as nobody can get an answer on your phone and my emails have not been answered in the last month..I have already reported you to the FSA but am writing to my MP about Amigo loans....No way I can believe these comments on how polite efficient or what a great company you are...You must be paying people to put great reviews on here....Even the banks have given people breathing space until this is over you may need to bear in mind a lot of people may not have jobs to go back too...
This is the most disgusting company I have ever come across. The owners are filthy vermin who should rot for what they have done to people. They refused my partner a payment break because she needed the money to go to her grandmother's funeral. I can't stress enough, do not deal with these satanic scum. Disgusting.
