Only criticism was the delivery turned up unannounced, otherwise excellent
Order made 15th January and after many emails still no refund and now they have ignored my last 2 emails, so now lodged a dispute with my bank to process a chargeback, which will cost them more. AVOID AVOID AVOID, not worth the hassle, just wish I had known about this site before ordering. Really bad customer service who just tell you lies, disgusting way to treat people. So disappointed.

DONT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE!!! How are these thieves allowed to continue trading?!? Lie upon lie, upon lie. Ordered an American fridgefreezer 30/01/21 and paid £410 for nothing. Promised it’d be here over and over again (they don’t have any stock, but take orders anyway!!) so on 02/04/2, I asked for a BACS refund which is almost immediate. They then spin another lie saying it’ll take 8 days to clear and that period has passed. Called again twice today and been told a multitude of nonsense and that I’d be refunded in the next few days!!! Who can I report these absolute clowns to? Their holding co is- Dexter Holdings Limited 169 Piccadilly Mayfair, London W1J 9EH. Maybe they are just as dodgy?
Finally got my refund after nearly 3 weeks of trying. Company blamed a new computer system. If you are still having trouble with refunds phone Jenny on 01423802086. That was the number she used to inform me of my refund. Three hours later money was back in my account. Word of caution check reviews of unknown companies save a lot of trouble.
Do not buy form this company. I ordered a microwave on 3rd December. They said no stock until May 2021. I sent them details to cancel my order but everyday they came back with all manor of excuses about not being able to send me my £299.00 refund. I had to contact my card company to get the refund back. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!
Ordered a fridge freezer on 19th feb. Still not delivered. Staff very rude when calling and said I’m just not happy with her answer. Don’t think it’s out of order to ask for an update. Excuse and excuse it’s been 7 weeks now. No sympathy or understanding of my frustration from the call centre. Been promised 3 call backs and still not received 1. Absolutely disgusting. Cancelled order a week ago as found somewhere with the same fridge in stock and ready for delivery. Still waiting for refund meaning I’m stuck in buying from a company who can actually deliver ! Should add that whilst there is clearly something very wrong here, it doesn’t feel like a typical scam - more that something has gone very wrong within the company - and the poor people on the phones are actually lovely. Received cancellation email now and been told 3 days for refund - apparently processing. We’ll see.
Awful company! Avoid! I almost never leave negative reviews, I have run pubs for 20 years and am aware of the ridiculous things some people complain about. Ordered a new dishwasher, cheap I agree, was told about 2 weeks. Called to enquire roughly when I could expect delivery, was told 2 months! Convoluted refund/excuse policy. Gave up and asked brilliant Barclays for a charge back, done in 2 days. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
Ordered a fridge freezer with a 10-14 day delivery. Over a month later still nothing so checked the reviews on here and then done more digging. Asked for a refund and phoned 3-4 times a day. Customer service was good (thanks Shawn!) Other than that overall a rubbish experience. Numerous of excuses to why it wasn't delivered. Apparently they were coming Monday... the delivery place had covid.. spoke to someone else and they said it was confirmed for Friday, so I held out hoping. But nothing. Yet still says 10-14 days special delivery on the website. Go somewhere reputable and spend a little bit extra and don't listen to the good reviews on here. They do a bank transfer for the refund but only do a select few for the day. Now if you do online banking I'm sure you are aware to transfer takes a matter of minutes. Makes me wonder how long until they go bust!! Edited to say, when the payment went though (for me to order) it went though to power direct, which made me extremely wary after checking out the reviews. I'm extremely lucky to get my refund so quick!! Edit- don't try and get this taken down appliance group, if I could add screenshot I would!! When refund comes through its from dexter holding ltd, research them!! Research how many different companies at that address!!
I ordered a dishwasher Nov 2020. After a while, excuses for non-delivery, etc., I cancelled the order on 17th Feb 2021 after being told it would be another 8 weeks. Still no refund. Chased several times. No reply from last chase up on 15th March marked Urgent. Trying to raise claim with credit card company, awful process.
i ordered a chest freezer and was told that it would be delivered mid March 2021 , i rang them up to check delivery on the 11 th March and then was told they get back to me on update they did only to say it won't be know until end of April we said yes ok . but then rang and said we are going to cancel done so by Email waiting refund but still not recieved i have rang emailed etc no end of times to be told that they cannot do refund the normal way but do Bac. this is not good enough these people should be made to pay up
Weeks and weeks and still no refund. Some bu@$%%t about a change in payment programmes. Do not buy from this company
AVOID!! Ordered on 22nd Feb. Got fed up of waiting on 17th March. Asked for a refund, told payment system was down they needed my details to do a bacs payment. So I gave them my details. No email response, after a couple of days I called. Told I’ll have it by Thursday (25th) told this on two occasions by two different members of staff. When this wasn’t the case I rang again. Then they decide to tell me it will be 10 working days.. why not just say that? Anyway still no refund! Probably never get it back off of this company. But as I have email proof of them accepting I want a refund and agreeing that they will process it and then haven’t, I contacted my bank and actioned a charge back claim and they’re investigating the company. If you paid by credit card contact your credit card company and action a section 75. They will give you your money back and dispute the amount with this company! Hope this helps anyone who won’t get their money from these B******s!
1 star is too much for this company, absolute appalling customer service who just say what you want to hear, and have no intention of doing what they said they’d do! I placed & paid for an order 14 Feb which I subsequently cancelled 3 Mar due to change in my circumstances, order wasn’t due for delivery until mid Mar. Rang customer services “that’s not a problem they said just send us an email to our cancellation team and a refund will be arranged”. Almost 4 weeks later and after numerous emails and phone calls still no refund! This morning’s call was “we’ll do refund by 1pm and call you to confirm”. I am not wasting anymore of my time listening to an employee of this company fob me off with lie after lie,it’s not acceptable. All I want is my money back so it’s now more of my time claiming it back via credit card company. Oh & Jon at Appliances Direct do not bother sending an automated response to my review I actually don’t care what you have to say, your tin pot customer services team didn’t care what I’ve had to say for the past 4 weeks, also my refund has absolutely nothing to do with Covid so don’t throw that old chestnut in!

Nothing turned up so I chased again. Waited another week and nothing. Eventually got fed up of chasing them up and asked for a refund. Guess what? The refund never came through. I chased them up for 6 weeks trying to get my money back. I eventually had to contact the bank to get my money back. I was more than happy to wait if they had issues but the lack of correspondence and lies from customer service was appalling. Shameful sham of a company. Please read reviews before purchasing from these clowns.
