Truc Tran and all the team at April have been very helpful throughout our claims process. They are always prompt and polite in trying to assist in validating the claims. The series of events that led us to needing to claim has been stressful and the team at April have done a great job of making sure all the documentation is validated and communicated as required whilst also being understanding with regards the process we are going through.
For a company that has 'International' in the name, you would expect to be able to contact them far easier in various countries. My policy for example is registered through Hong Kong, but I live in the UK. I called the UK call centre - they are not even able to find my details. They expect me to call HK, during the middle of the night, I guess on my mobile and its unacceptable. The email addresses take days to get a response, the app is very poor, and the premiums are crazy expensive. But the biggest issue by far is how anti-International this company is! Only needed to use it once, but had to end up going via the NHS.

When I signed up for the insurance, they asked about any diseases or conditions for which I was undergoing treatment. They didn't ask anything more specific about my medical history. After nearly two years with the company, I had a very expensive hospital visit because I had a kidney stone and was in the emergency room vomiting from the pain. Even though kidney stones are common and not linked to medical history, they decided that since I passed a stone over five years ago, that it was a pre-existing condition and refuse to pay for any of it. When I questioned the decision, they issued an exception to never cover any expenses related to kidney stones. I think the way they have handled this is money hungry, inhumane, and doesn't make sense medically. I will not be renewing with this company and I urge anyone to think twice before considering their insurance.

Have made 2 claims and both handled and approved very efficiantly. Every email has been answered in quickly and have been very helpful in providing information on my policy and assisted in my claim process.
I have emailed April insurance three times to cancel my insurance. They originally wouldn't let me cancel without buying new insurance somewhere else which I’m pretty sure is illegal. I then sent them the necessary documents with my new insurance only to receive no response and also have an attempt of a direct debit taken out of my account. I just want someone to email me back with the confirmation that it’s been closed so I never have to deal with this terrible company again.

I was recently hospitalized at very short notice and contacted April International for assistance in providing a Guarantee of Payment. My experience in dealing with Ms Panpanat Tangmunchittam was excellent. She was extremely helpful, explained my options clearly and followed up quickly.

Process peu optimisé, plusieurs échanges par téléphone, j'ai dû relancer pendant des mois ! Mon dossier bloquait depuis juillet 2023 malgré mes milliers d'appels . Le discours est le même , nous nous excusons , on va prioriser votre demande bla bla bla ... Monsieur Kalil prend le temps de détailler ma demande. comprend que y'a un problème et contre toute attente il me passe Nadia des remboursements. L'échange est tendu du à mon humeur à ce moment. La dame est restée très calme ,assez directe et très efficace ,elle débloquait et m'expliquait au fur et à mesure et me donne son adresse pour envoyer ce qui manque . Le dossier est monté rapidement et dans la journée j'ai transmis ce qui manquait et j'ai enfin reçu mon argent . Un conseil passer par Kalil qui vous passera Nadia pour que ça marche sinon FUYEZ!

Claims paid on late, managers un reachable, we had also a funny experience with their new so called revolutionary products: easyclaimcard. They claim to give you an input 72h00 after requesting a cover. I have been waiting for 7 days without a single news. So we paid ourselves. We have a refund sent to our usual bank account but that never arrived. April just told me our bank rejected it...they are very creative. Indeed I am receiving my refunds on this account ever since we are member. This is the worse medical insurance you could deal with, if you claim more than a cheap expense, they will challenge it and let you wait ages while the consult their own doctor to validate it...as they pay him you already know the issue. I will go legal against them

As a Broker, it is important to count on the support of our insurance providers, and Agnes from April, went above and beyond to support one of the cases where the facility and the TPA couldn't properly communicate. Never expecting to really need to use our health insurance too much, both my husband and I have been very impressed with how much APRIL has supported us when I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer in Sept. During every step of the process, April has been quick to respond and have taken care of everything, allowing me to focus on my treatment and recovery. They have been a major support during this process and I personally wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
My hearing assistance company, Entendre, twice contacted this company (I have a level 4 insurance with April-International) to ascertain whether I would have full coverage for two hearing devices and were told on both occasions that they would be fully covered between CPAM and April. I asked Entendre to deal with April specifically as I do not fully understand the 100% health complexities etc. However when April made their reimbursement it was €2500 short! It appears that they do not cover level 2 hearing aids but their staff did not know that. I'm now having the hassle of returning the devices, repaying CPAM, and repaying April, a process which leaves me out of pocket for two or three months. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there and my letter of complaint sent two weeks ago remains unanswered, as does my more recent request to cancel my contract with April! I am now looking for an alternative mutuelle with properly informed staff and that will actually respond to their customers concerns - I feel April simply don't care! *Addition.... it gets worse - sent email to address they give in their reply, and again no response, my April-International counsellor has written to them also, so have I, we are ignored. I called them and the member of staff I spoke to said he would look into it and call me back but didn't! My counsellor suggests I have to go to the Ombudsman, unbelievable! I'm still €2500 out of pocket too! Do not go near this company, what happens if you are seriously ill!
