Jan 21,2025Siskin Barn is beautifully designed with a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. We stayed as a group of friends for a special birthday celebration and everyone was blown away by this place. Our favourite things were, the underfloor heating, cleanliness, hot tub, log burner, American style fridge freezer, kitchen appliances, and extra touches such as bath robes, flip flops and extra towel for the hot tub. Was in a quiet spot but within walking distance of pubs, Indian & Chinese restaurants. Also only 15 minutes drive from Stratford upon Avon. All in all amazing! Would love to stay again.

Jan 20,2025Another wonderful stay in the Cotswolds! Hope Cottage is a beautiful, quaint cottage in a very pretty village. The bed was really comfy and the towels were really lovely quality. The cottage was clean and fully equipped with all we needed for our stay. The fire was an extra treat. The courtyard garden was really handy too. Really close to Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bouron on the Water. The Black Horse is literally 1 minute walk and they were really friendly and welcoming. Food was great for when we wanted an easy tea. We also had great food at The Coach and Horses in Longborough and The Hollow Bottom in Guiting Power which are about 15 mins away.

Jan 13,2025Wow. What a gorgeous house, the house is spotless and decorated insanely well. We had such an amazing stay that we had booked to go back in summer before we had even left! The house is equipped with everything you might possibly need for your stay. We can’t wait to get back!

I needed to contact the property manager for a couple of requests & questions before and during the stay plus a left item afterwards. I was amazed by the speed of response and helpfulness. Really added to our positive experience

Jan 07,2025Would not recommend unless the following has changed... Stayed 4 nights at Otley House in Cheltenham for family new year. The house was freezing cold on arrival, heating turned off, also many radiators shut off. In my efforts to restore heat I turned on a towel rail which blew the electrics. Called owner who's response was 'we don't put the heating on because we don't know when you'll be arriving'. Knew about the towel rail being faulty. Then expected us the use the unfamiliar heating control or 'read the manual in the kitchen'. Not the welcome we expected. Next morning discovered the top floor shower was stuck on fully hot, therefore unusable. Owner contacted but clearly little/no chance of repair over new year, so 8 of us using the one main bathroom. No compensation offered. Otherwise, the house is well placed and appointed.

Jan 02,2025What a beautiful setting for a lovely stay in the Cotswolds. The location is perfect and Dave the owner could not of been any more helpful. We stayed for 3 nights over NYE and even in the cold weather the place was perfect and cosy! We will 100% be coming back to Outbak!

Dec 29,2024Such a sweet little cottage. So nice to have coffee and tea supplied as a welcoming gift. Also very special to have a Christmas tree set up for our holiday stay. The whole area is so charming. I think the carpet is a little tired and could brighten up the place if it were replaced.

Dec 16,2024Stayed at Sweetslade cottage 13rh-15th December 2024 and everything was perfect. The little cottage was well appointed with everything you need for a cosy stay in the Cotswolds. The property is literally a 5 minute drive from Bourton on the water and close to everything you need. Sarah the host could not do enough for us. So welcoming and there were even little treats and extras to welcome us. We had a great weekend. Thank you Sarah for making it so Christmassy. We will defo come back again.

Dec 10,2024Our family had the most brilliant weekend at a Bolthole Retreats property celebrating a special birthday. A spacious and comfortable property with lovely decor and everything we needed. The fires were beautiful, we all loved the hot tub, and the Christmas decorations were a wonderful and cosy addition. It felt very welcoming and the flexibility around check in/out times was so appreciated. A real weekend to remember.
