Sep 01,2022Terrible service, I was given inaccurate information from British Beds consistently, their lead times were longer than stated and zero communication from them - always me chasing and receiving inaccurate information. They then committed to communicating with the delivery company about my delivery but then didn’t so I had to chase AGAIN. Their delivery company was, what I can only describe as amateur and they spoke to me in a shocking way. The bed arrived but with a tear and dirty so I’ve had to pay to get it repaired and cleaned; their 5% discount didn't cover the cost of the repair and cleaning and frankly I never want to deal with this company again. Such a shame as I wanted to support a smaller business but won’t be shopping with them again.

Aug 30,2022The bed was very easy to put together and in good condition. The delivery service was excellent and even called me as I had to move my delivery date. The time for delivery was a small window so I didn't have to wait in all day. Queen base is slightly smaller than my queen mattress. So mattress hangs over by an inch on each side. Not really noticeable.

Aug 26,2022Order was made up and dispatched quickly. I've had to contact British Beds Direct twice and their agents were very polite and helpful each time. The base and headboard I ordered is in the velvet which can be an unforgiving fabric - there's a little damage in two places but it's where it doesn't notice so I'm not worried. Delivery was good too. Would recommend.

Aug 24,2022Bed arrived damaged and with parts missing that should have been fitted prior to delivery. Assembly instructions were incorrect and tools provided did not fit the fixings. Whilst staff on the phone were helpful, the whole process has been far from satisfactory.

Aug 24,2022Well informed throughout and prompt delivery, would have given 5 stars but the instructions didn’t actually match the parts the bed came with to assemble…luckily my dad worked out what needed doing with the parts we had.

Aug 23,2022Beds still in packaging as I’m not ready to have them built,but have clear coverings so I ordered mink Boucle ottoman beds,anyway for price I paid plus a further 10% discount at checkout I was a bit skeptical as the same bed I wanted from made.com was double,but they seem great and very well built and heavy which is great and material is just exactly as I wanted from sample they sent,they have also advised me that if when I do open and build them to get in touch if any problems which is also peace of mind for me,so all in all I’m thinking I made the right choice buying from this company.

Aug 20,2022Good choice of beds at good prices! Great choice of fabrics for bedheads etc - best we've seen anywhere - at prices ranging from economical through reasonable to well beyond my budget! (Great to have the choice though!) Good communications about deliveries and good delivery agents. Everything went very well - what a relief!

Aug 20,2022Beds are great, only issue was delivery. The beds were for second floor bedrooms and it was only when the delivery driver called 30 mins before arrival that I was informed they would only deliver to the first floor, for health and safety reasons. This left me and my teenage daughter to then have to struggle up the second floor with the bed bases ourselves. A warning should have been made clear prior to purchase. It was a real struggle and the health and safety of customers was clearly not important.... we live in a town house, not a sky scraper, a very common house build type these days, so was very disappointed to be left unexpectedly stranded with bed bases on middle floor...

Aug 20,2022PALOMA MODERN UPHOLSTERED BED WITH ART DECO HEADBOARD - KING Colour: Boucle Ivory So pleased we ordered from British Beds Direct. Being able to request free fabric samples before ordering was a great service and the fabric we chose was exactly as we had hoped. On reflection, the delivery took slightly longer than we expected. Also, on unpacking, there were no instructions. However, I rang British Beds Direct at 4pm on a Saturday not really expecting anyone to be there but they answered promptly and immediately emailed the instructions over to me . Assembly of the bed was quite difficult and we did have to saw the centre rail as it was too long to fit. Wooden spacer was also missing. This was our reason for dropping one star. We would definitely order from British Beds Direct again. Absolutely love the bed we have chosen.

Aug 18,2022I ordered a Super King bed early July. I ordered from British Beds Direct to support local firms, plus, the price was very good compared to other retailers. Unfortunately I did have a few issues. Namely, a refund that took some time, a break of the 14 day SLA, and the incorrect parts being sent out. However, ive given BBD 4 stars because they dealt with each issue really efficiently and quickly. I found their after sales support very professional, and also quick to respond rectify. The bed seems well built and sturdy. The instructions however were pretty poor, and could be improved. Overall, not a 5 star experience, but i would certainly recommend based on the quality of the item and the customer service.
