May 01,2025Found it easy but as I had a claim that was an employees fault I was penalised for this. The customer rep was not very pleasant on the phone. I have stayed with Budget as to time consuming to change.

Apr 30,2025DANGER! This company gives itself the right to automatically renew your policy without your specific consent. This is not made clear in any of the correspondence and is buried in the blizzard of documentation that they shower on you. I found this out after accepting a near 40% quote from a different company before my renewal date and, although I emailed Budget to cancel any renewal, they went ahead anyway. I then wasted a lot of time trying to cancel a policy that I did not want and had never agreed to. ALWAYS READ ALL THE DOCUMENTATION - it can save a lot of time later when dealing with unscrupulous insurance companies.

Apr 29,2025About time, I'm sick of having to pay for other drivers accidents, bad driving or claims. It would seem Budget have listened to the people and will not punish drivers who have a faultless record. First time in over 30 years that I am paying what is a fair price. Could not believe my eyes when the quote came through, a good £150 less than the next cheapest. I would also like to say that I got all the same benefits and perhaps even one extra (legal assistance). Before you go scrolling check out Budget, I promise you won't regret it.

Apr 27,2025Would rate lower if I could. First operator I spoke to had a poor command of the English language. This was frustrating as it was dificult to understand her and make her understand my problem. They want to charge me an arrangement fee to cancel even though policy doesn't start for 14 days. I have 2 other cars insured by different companies, and neither charge a fee for cancelation before policy start date. Policy excess is cheaper, and amendment fee is less than half. Policy price is also higher for the same cover. I won't be renewing with budget next year or ever again! REVISED 1/5/2025 I'M PREPARED TO UPGRADE FROM 1 STAR TO 3 AS MY POLICY HAS NOW BEEN CANCELLED. I'VE RECEIVED A FULL REFUND WITH NO FEES PAYABLE, this was as a result of my review. I received a call from Budget and I explained that I thought charging an arrangement fee before the start date is unreasonable. Policy document mentioned the fees to cancel within 14 and after 14 days but nothing about a fee before policy start date. Operator said she understood what I was saying and would pass on my concerns and comments for investigation. She agreed to give me a full refund but explained their procedures had been followed, which I accept. I will consider Budget next year but only if the wording has been clarified. I think 3 stars is more than fair, would have been 4 if it had been resolved sooner.
