Feb 21,2025I was looking for a balustrade and Juliet balcony for a newly renovated property. I approached a few different companies but SHS were the company that shone through. They price matched and returned calls and emails when they said they would and nothing was too much trouble. A special thanks to Paulina who went beyond the call of duty, a great person to deal with, and an asset to the company. I would recommend SHS without hesitation.

Jan 20,2025From the initial design conversations, through the ordering and installation, SHS Balustrades were great. We had a large area we needed balustrading for. SHS patiently produced multiple design options to allow us to choose a system that would meet our requirements and budget. I was kept updated throughout the order and manufacturing process. We chose to use SHS's fitters. They did a great job and worked hard over long days to get the installation completed quickly. Following the job completion, SHS contacted us to ensure everything was ok and we were happy with the end result.

Nov 27,2024From the initial contact made with Imogen @ SHS to the patient changes made to get design right, through to the on site survey, speedy delivery & above all the quality were all perfect. As a fairly demanding ex engineer I appreciated every aspect of the process & the end result - adding value to the property. A little nervous about paying up front but gladly unfounded. Ordinarily would have fitted myself but glad I chose to use SHS to arrange this, as quite a skill as it turned out. Lakhvir (A1 Ballustrades through SHS), carried out the install and very very pleased with his attention to detail & quality of the install - even removing all the cardboard packaging. No hesitation in recommending.

The product is very high quality, and looks fantastic. We are over the moon. Everything you would want from a company. I would heartily recommend SHS for all your Balustrade needs.

Sep 24,2024This review is rated 5 stars as SHS turned a negative into a positive. The wrong design of balustrade was initially installed, which was brought to our attention by the Installer. Amy then offered to replace the entire metal frame and glass panels as per the original design, which was completed by Lucky, who is an excellent installer and communicator. Thank you SHS!

Sep 21,2024My stairs were a non standard design and SHS staff were very helpful in understanding the method I was to employ in fixing the steelwork to the treads and recommended rectangular base plates in place of circular bases. I was installing the system myself and it fitted perfectly allowing my glazier to measure and install the glass

Sep 12,2024My initial request for a quote for a glass balustrade with stainless steel posts was received very promptly. I received a follow up telephone call the following morning and Imogen, the sales advisor was very knowledgeable and helpful in discussing my plan for the glass balustrade for a patio at my home. The order was confirmed and a manufacturing window provided. Once the glass panels were manufactured, I received a delivery confirmation. Despite living in Northern Ireland, the 14m of Elegance toughened laminated glass and polished s/steel posts were delivered on the due date and in the advised time window. The items were wrapped on a purpose built wooden pallet which the delivery driver placed with a pallet truck exactly where I wanted. Every piece of my order was received in perfect condition. I assembled the glass balustrade myself in 9 hours with everything fitting together perfectly. The assembly instructions and video were excellent and very easy to follow. If you are in the market for a top quality glass balustrade wall, then I can thoroughly recommend dealing with SHS. The staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Their product was exactly what was described and what I wanted. I would definitely use SHS again if I was installing another glass balustrade.

Aug 22,2024Contacted the sales team by email to quote for 8 metres of balustrades, and additionally a replacement piece of balustrade glass damaged by a building team. They quoted £600 to site visit to size up the broken glass piece, and then regarding the balustrades system which was supply only, the quote didn’t include the required steel posts or fittings to hold the glass. Not overly sure if these were mistakes by the sales person, so queried and no reply.

Aug 13,2024Cannot fault service or product , Right through ordering , checking of size , and confirmation before manufacturing was all done effortlessly with the help of sales and production people at SHS . Kit turned up on delivery date quoted and with easy to understand instructions The assembly went without a hitch. Cannot tell you how happy rest of family are with product CLASSY STURDY and easy on the eye , being glass it doesn’t obstruct the view of our Garden . Really happ with whole process and the helpfulness of all staff encounted .( even the delivery man was great Many thanks Kevin Pooley

Jul 26,2024Ordered 3 glass panels and brackets to use on some decking steps. Fantastic product, very well made. The staff are brilliant. Very knowledgeable and you can tell they are very happy working for SHS. Big shout out to Michelle and Sionna, both of them did a first class job and a major part of my success on this project is down to them. Very highly recommended.

May 14,2024Never ordered as was disgusted by the quote being double that of others on the market. The same 2m length of simple balustrade came in at almost £1k. They called repeatedly to "close the sale" then offering to price match upon telling them they're "more expensive than the competition" (to put it politely). Don't make me waste time requesting quotes to take the mick.

May 01,2024I needed a balustrade for my roof top terrace that meet building control requirement. I contacted SHS for a quote. The process was simple and efficient thanks to the design tool available on their website. Shortly after, SHS sent me their installation team to confirm the measurements. I then received drawings to approve before it goes to production. After about 4 weeks, my balustrade was ready and the installation team swooped into action and did a great job installing it. It looks fantastic and materials used are of high quality (powder coated steel and tick safety glass panels). Overall, I’m a satisfied customer. Looking forward to use them again for my next project. From the initial order and guidance for giving measurements, to being kept informed on production progress to delivery on site, on time, was brilliant. Guidance on installation which I did myself was very helpful and reasonably straight forward. Sionna, Imogen and Rebecca were very helpful and professional. The system was also reasonably priced.

We found that there were two small but pivotal components missing towards the end of the project and Nicki handled our situation with care, efficiency and speed ensuring we were able to finish on-time. More recently, we were having a really busy period and SHS undertook a supply and fit of a glass balustrade in a domestic property for us. I have completed four separate orders for handrails from them and without fail have been great to deal with, including any rectification required for honest mistakes. The customer service was excellent and always willing to help and advise and the product suited perfectly.
