I purchased and collected my new car on Tuesday 3rd December. My Initial experience with the salesman Adam was good - No issues with Adam. One day after collection i noticed the heaters were not working on the drivers side, (Passenger side blows hot air, Drivers side blows cold) Carlingo is 50 miles from my home so have had to book in with my local BMW garage but have to wait 3 weeks for earliest appointment and will be without car for 2 days, one for diagnostic and 2nd when they have it back to rectify the issues. Then on day 6 of owning the car i went out to go to work and it wouldn't start! Had to get the AA out to it and the battery was knackered and had to pay out £255 for a new battery and missed a mornings work and now have to make up the 4 hours that i sat waiting for AA to get it back on the road. Yes i can claim it back but why should I have all these inconveniences within the first week of purchasing a new car at a cost of over £20K Its my opinion that these should have been checked before leaving the garage/show room. The aftersales response was that they couldn't have predicted the issues, well i feel if the vehicle had been checked rigorously - As advertised on their website i wouldn't have had these issues. I am now nervous as to what else might go wrong with the car and wouldn't buy from Carlingo again.
Really happy with my recent purchase at Carlingo. Adam made the process nice and simple, from enquiry to collection he was polite, friendly and efficient. A massive thank you to Amy as well for going out of her way to do a handover early in the morning on a Saturday as I was travelling almost 3 hours to pick up my new vehicle. I couldn’t be happier with my new car, cheers guys.
Previously bought a vehicle from Carlingo in Harrogate just under 2 years ago so went back to them first to see if they wanted to buy the Range Rover Evoque. They asked how much we wanted - we said that we were unsure but obviously wanted the best price that they could offer. They came out with a table of prices and said that they could offer between 8 thousand and 10 thousand but that they would have to offer closer to 8 due to the car sale business being dead at this time of year. We said that a 4 wheel drive vehicle should sell well at this time of year (Dec) and were told that it doesn’t work like that and that the market is dead at this time of year and that the numbers on the printed sheet are compiled from sales across the country and we would be lucky to get that. We felt like we were being pressured and spoken down to. Went to the dealers next door and were shown the Parker’s trade in valuation on the computer screen as being 11,800 and were told that the car market is not dead at this time of year unless selling a convertible. We went to two more dealers and were told that they would offer us about 12 thousand. We phoned we buy any car and were given a valuation of 12,225. We phoned motorway who said that they would sell it with a reserve of 12,168. We thought that Carlingo would show us some loyalty and not try to rip us off. We were wrong. Never believe a printed sheet from a car dealer seems to be the lesson learned.

Was a little mix up when I originally went to pick my car up, however it was rectified at a later date and the service I received was great.
Couldn't have asked for better customer service! We were on the look out for a car for our nephew, we had gone to another large dealership who really couldn't have cared less!! When we arrived at Carlingo in Harrogate the whole experience was next level! From Adam popping out to let us know what we needed to do if we wanted to view a car, to Jack.. I think?? (I'm so sorry I completely missed your name, he was only on his second day in the job) showing us around the car and arranging the test drive, what a fantastic young man! to then Steve talking us through all the relevant information, to then Travis who dealt with all the paperwork!! Fantastic teamwork, everything explained to us and if we didn't understand anything they were more than happy to explain it again. We now have one very happy very independent nephew, whilst he has one very skint but very proud auntie and uncle. Thank you all so much for everything. A fantastic team!!
After 19 years of driving the same treasured car I was traumatised to have to change it. The staff at Carlingo were not hard-sell in any way. All were knowledgeable, helpful (without being pushy), kind and patient - particular thanks to Chris, Daniel and Travis who looked after me during my visits. They made the process much easier than I had expected it to be and I am now the owner of a smart, shiny, much-updated car. I would happily recommend Carlingo.
