Oct 07,2024I really like the fish pie, but today I tried the ‘steak’ pie - a lot of pastry, masses of ‘gravy’, not much in the way of meat, or even very tasty!

Oct 05,2024First time trying the chicken biryani. Super impressed firstly by the look of the dish and then the taste which is as good as any biryani I’ve had at an Indian restaurant. Perfectly spiced and aromatic. My new favourite CB dish!

Oct 03,2024Ref: Charlie Bingham's steak and ale pie made with British Steak, encased in a 'handmade' fresh pastry case. Whilst most Of Charlie's products are very good and reliable. The fish pie being excellent. Previous Steak Pies made with puff pastry were very good. This was not at all good, left on the plate. Strange taste and the pasty was 'awful' hand made pastry that is edible does not taste like this. Not recommended and not to be bought again. This recipe needs to be closely looked at if it is to be successful.

Oct 02,2024Hi we had butter chicken curry it was really nice. But the only thing was the paper was sitting under the curry so had to pour it into dish.

Oct 01,2024I’m not normally one for leaving reviews, however as someone who loves pesto pasta and having just had the Chicken and Genovese Basil Pesto with Fusilli ready meal, i felt compelled to. Quite simply, if i had paid £20 for that in a restaurant, or even £25, i wouldn't have been disappointed. It has to be the best Pasta ready meal I've ever bought; extremely delicious, and I'll be buying it again.

Sep 29,2024Bought this a couple of times 2 years ago and thought it was fantastic. But now, awful. Pasta has improved slightly, but everything else is just lacking so much flavour. Cheese sauce used to be great, but now is just a plain bechamel. It's more like sweet and sour ragu ish crap. They increased the price so people couldn't afford it as a treat. But then lowered the price, and now lowered the standards of what used to be a great lasagne. Simply far too expensive for a very mediocre lasagne.

Sep 19,2024My husband and I tried the Spanish chicken with roasted potatoes meal, which was plentiful, really tasty with plenty of tender chicken pieces, would highly recommend this dish. Will be trying more of their meals too. Also the packaging was 100% recyclable.

Sep 19,2024Tried the Chicken Tikka Masala but was disappointed in the lack of chicken pieces, in fact I had to search for them. Wouldn’t buy another one but might consider trying other meals in their range as they do look good.

Sep 14,2024I never eat ready meals and my husband rarely does but recently, after hearing about your meals for the 1st time, we tried a couple. The fish pie is better than I have ever eaten in any restaurant.

Sep 11,2024These are NOT “ready meals” So I stumbled across these in Sainsburys. I don’t usually buy pre-packaged meals because they are usually full of nasties. However looking at the ingredients I decided to try the cottage pie. I’m so glad I did! This has to be by far the best cottage pie I’ve ever tasted. It was so good I had it 3 nights running. I checked out their website and feel they genuinely care about producing good quality wholesome meals and not just mass producing sub standard food. I’m going to try them all!! Give them a go, you won’t be disappointed!

Sep 10,2024I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the chilli con carne and rice meal! It was really tasty, a good level of spice but still flavoursome and not too overpowering. Thank you, look forward to trying more soon!

Sep 09,2024I bought Charlies Chicken Jalfrezi from Sainsbury's last Thursday..it's possibly the best we've ever tasted..well done to the chefs for balancing the spices to perfection 👌

Sep 09,2024Not having seen this brand in my local Tesco and being disappointed with the Tesco Curries I Decided to give a Jalfrazi a try. What a good move it was awesome one of the best Curries I’ve over had, the Chicken was so tender and the sauce was sublime, Not to hot but just right(for me).I could definitely recommend giving one a try I don’t think you will be disappointed.Looking forward to my next one maybe a madras. 👍

Sep 09,2024In 2021 I bought some Meatballs Al Forno, having tasted some other meals in the range at my friend's house. However on this occasion I crunched on something hard which I spat out. It turned out to be a piece of hard plastic, no idea what it was. I was concerned as it must have got there as part of their factory/packing processes. I contacted them (with a photo of the item) but instead of being concerned, they obviously thought I was a crank, so they sent me various contradictory replies, then no response at all, and then, after multiple times of chasing this up, eventually fobbed me off with a few (two, I think) vouchers for their products. I am a well thought of long-serving member of my local County Council and not a crank - it was disturbing to me that they did not take this seriously or consider how this may have got into their processes. The administrative response was chaotic and totally at odds with their laid-back homely image. Very unimpressed, have never touched their products since. I am writing this now as I had a clear out recently and saw the piece of green plastic I had kept.

Sep 03,2024I have until recently been able to rely on Charlie Bigham to produce fantastic curries, with succulent fat free chunks of chicken. I’m afraid to say that the cuts of chicken that are now used are third rate. Hardly a piece without fat. I now have to throw away a good proportion of the meat, in order to be able to enjoy the curry. The quality has been going downhill for some time now, and I’m afraid I will no longer be buying Charlie Bighams. Great shame. They used to be the best.
