Nov 22,2021The chicken and mushroom pie was delicious with superb pastry. Shame this was spoiled with unnecessary ramekins and the associated cost and recycling issues.

Nov 15,2021General experiance was let down by the pastry on the sides and base not being good sufficiently , after following instructions to the letter. Top pastry was fine, as was the filling. It was if the areas withing the casing hadn`t been expsed to the heat sufficiently.

Nov 12,2021Love their meatballs al forno. Always good to have in the fridge for when you're lazy too cook but still want a dinner that feels comforting and homecooked.

Nov 12,2021Hi, just tried the 'Shepherd's Pie' awful, no taste of lamb, don't know what the (meat) was ?? Being a retired chef of 62 years have tasted much better. Sorry Charlie must do much better. PJC

Nov 07,2021So tried to contact them and nothing! The dishes are really good on the whole, but I bought a fish pie for the first time and it had no fish in it! Wasn't just disappointed with the pie, but was very disappointed with customer service!

Nov 01,2021Chicken and mushroom pies So disappointed, massive piece of chicken lumped together. And then a fatal and sickening thing happened… a bone, yes a bone. This is not good for how much they are. I’m done with Charlie Bingham now, what a shame.

Oct 23,2021Chicken tikka masala was the best I’ve tasted. Much nicer than local takeaway. The 3 stars relates to the quantity and value for money. M&S have double the amount of chicken and the portions in the CB chicken tiki are not for enough 2 unless your on a weightwatchers diet or have a gastric band fitted but certainly not for the men, boys, in my house. So will only ever buy as a one of treat. Half your prices or double the contents. Although they taste amazing!

Oct 22,2021I was very impressed with this fish pie. I dont normally buy ready meals as my husband is a fabulous cook, but tonight I thought I'd treat myself as he was away, and I certainly wasn't disappointed with the fish pie. What an excellent choice. There were several pieces of fish, and the sauce was lovely and creamy with a fluffy potato topping. I would highly recommend for a treat.

Oct 15,2021Wow …. I saw these in Tesco and seeing the price was not cheap I’ve avoided purchasing ….but today I bought the Thai green curry and fragrant rice …. I cannot rate it highly enough ….. the flavour and texture are superb and beats any ready meal I’ve ever bought before …. I most definitely will be trying the other meals in the range …. Hats off to Charlie ☺️

Oct 12,2021Fish pie. Do not buy!!!! only 3 pieces of fish mostly potato and sauce makes a very expensive meal. Have emailed head office but no reply, so they are not interested in feed back not be buying any more.Tesco finest much better and value for money.

Oct 07,2021Lasagne was tasty, but never set, cooked on and left to set but no difference. I have been trying everywhere to buy this, finally found it today, remained sloppy mess, very disappointed

Sep 25,2021Just eaten the lasagne, which we have always enjoyed. Today it tasted different and we both agreed it did. Had an almost chorizo smokey taste which we disliked. Also hard green bits in it which we picked out. Weird. Would love to know what has changed.

Sep 17,2021The taste of the lasagne is very good, but it could be very much improved if the texture of the mince isn't so fine. It is like ground mince. A bit more substance for the mince and I would have given this meal 5 stars

Sep 09,2021I must congratulate Charlie Bingham for the chicken and mushroom risotto. Easily the best I have eaten - beautifully moist chicken and the whole dish excellently flavoured.

Aug 30,2021Very rarely buy anything ready made. Prefer my own cooking and knowing what is in it,but on recommendation tried the fish pie. Results were better than expected. I could certainly have passed it off as one I had just made. I will now try other dishes as I never know when I need to produce a meal at short notice! i,e. returning from holiday.

Aug 27,2021I have now had 2 Charlie Bigham chicken dishes in a row over the last 3 weeks; we have this as a treat usually. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated dramatically with the quality of checked pieces. The quantity of gristle and skin is significant; when sharing a dish where you can anticipate 4-5 pieces of chicken and half are skin and gristle then why buy it? I am not going to buy Charlie Bigham again; it has turned from a treat to an utter disappointment. PS, I gave the opportunity to the company to respond to my feedback after the first event; and I got a very apologetic e-mail back saying they would rectify the issue and took the sell by date and purchase location as reference, offering a voucher for replacement meal. I have had no voucher or correspondence since then. How sad. ☹️

Aug 27,2021I am 80, my wife a little younger. She is a brilliant cook, especially fish pie. However, she has broken her wrist so I am in charge in the kitchen. We have had a few Bingham meals, all very good. But, we have just shared the fish pie which is quite exceptional. In fact, and I am reluctant to admit this, it is even better than my wife's. It is so good that I will serve it at a dinner party next week. Thank you Charlie!

Nov 26,2021The first fish pie was tasty But very little fish no prawns or white fish We tried again tasty potato and sauce and no fish ! Compared to M&S really disappointing and M&S better value Won’t bother with Charlie Bingham rip off !
