Aug 11,2020I was a great lover of the fish pies but the last two i have had were a very big disappointment no salmon no shrimp very small pea size bit of fish 98% mashed potato with no smoked haddock i just ask myself how do they get away with it no doubt they will have the ultimate excuse i myself will certainly not buy any more of their products I now rate the company very cheapscape they are certainly not capable of keeping up their original standards so dont chance wasting your hard earned cash.

Aug 04,2020Macaroni Cheese with Pancetta meal for 2. Bought this with a voucher I won not having tasted his meals before. It looked and tasted lovely really tasty cheese sauce with nicely cooked macaroni and the topping was lovely. But this was no way a meal for 2. As a side with a main meal yes or a snack it might be OK. But for £7.75 it was not worth the money.

Aug 02,2020Fish pie disappointing. One piece of salmon and another of cod. Mostly mash. Lidl pies are packed with fish and prawns for half the price.

Aug 02,2020Fish pie Where are the prawns? Too much mash and lacks taste. Too bland needs a bit more pepper and some prawns please. Quite expensive for what it is really. Sorry wouldn't buy again or recommend.

Jul 27,2020Chicken and mushroom pie. 3 bits of chicken (one gristly), one mushroom, loads of disgusting brown goo. Soggy pastry. A rip off. Waitrose should discontinue them. Buy Pieminister instead. Cheaper and way better.

Jul 14,2020Have just sampled the Pan-Fry Satay Chicken Curry. I really enjoyed this as an "off the shelf" supermarket take away. The meal was plenty for two and represented good value at Waitrose £7.50.Miles ahead of anything I have had before.

Jul 08,2020Just been recommended to try these, so had a bash with their fish pie, beef lasagne and cottage pie. I have to say that I was totally pleased with all of them, although Tesco don't appear to stock all varieties, which is disappointing. I also like the way they are supplied in a little wooden 'boat' lined with paper, so they are recyclable, or at least environmentally friendly unlike the black plastic some other ready meals use. I have recently tried a couple of other ready meal suppliers with unsatisfactory results, so I am really pleased to be able to recommend Bighham's.

Jun 29,2020What’s happening? Things taste suddenly really different. I have sent two emails to costumer service - one about 6 weeks ago, the other about a week ago. No reply. My parents are on a state pension and one of these meals is a super treat for them. The quality of the food has plummeted and the customer service is zero. If you can’t deliver, please stop offering. These meals are too expensive to not be delivered properly. Shame. They were really lovely before things obviously started to go wrong.

May 18,2020Well i am curious about lots of these negative comments but i have to say i love Macaroni Cheese and have always loved Tesco own. It was all gone so bought Charlie Bingham's Macaroni Cheese with crispy Pancetta. Not only was i not disappointed i'm a convert. That was even better than my own recipe that i used to make many years ago. I will buying it again and depending what else is at Tesco i will try something else too.

May 15,2020Moroccan chicken tagine, we buy these 2-3 at a time as they are fantastic, unfortunately Some bright spark at Charlie bighams has changed the recipe and it’s no longer the Moroccan chicken we loved, it did have a really great flavour, it looks horrible on the plate now and doesn’t taste nowhere near as good and they’ve put the price up and it’s definitely not worth the extra cost Unfortunately we will no longer be buying them. Very disappointed

May 10,2020We bought the Steak variety with a week to go to the BB date. We have had them before and they were okay, nothing particularly special, but on this occasion really sour as if too much vinegar had been added. Overpriced for a pie too, like everything else these days the addition of Rape Seed Oil points to more concern for profit than quality.

May 07,2020Don't waste your time. Fish pie had at best 2 tiny bits of salmon. Will never touch this brand again. Apparently they used to be good but I cant vouch for that. We received ours from Gousto, who we love by the way. More disappointed with them offering these crap ready meals. Gousto we love you.... Stop selling them.

May 05,2020So after seeing Mrs Hinch settle to one of these meals I thought let’s check it out. Disappointed is an understatement. Such minuscule portions of the main ingredient (fish, meat) that it really is overpriced junk. They may have been good when they first started and were building up a name but not now so I’d suggest try another brand. Can’t speak for their curries as not tried.

Aug 15,2020I use to love this fish pie, however it has become a potato and sauce pie. If you are lucky you get a random piece of fish. Will not buy it again. A great disappointment as it used to be one of my favourites.
