Mar 19,2021Wanted to buy a kit from them, so called them for advice on which one had a good spalted maple top. They opened some of the kits for me and took pictures so i could choose the exact one! Once chosen it was delivered next day - now thats great service!

Mar 15,2021Bought a kit off coban. Had a problem with neck and pocket. Emailed admin. Sent some photos. Admin agreed there was a problem and to send it back, paid by them. Sent a replacement out the same day as they received the returned kit. Also took pictures for me of the neck in pocket. Can not fault them for customer service. Would recommend them to everyone. Even got a free capo too

Mar 15,2021Really Happy with my purchase communication was Excellent and arrived the next day.. the neck pocket (set Neck) does not fit but its easy enough to sand it down to fit correctly ... i was hoping the sample veneer would be large enough for me to veneer the headstock ..unfortunatley it is not that was my only dissapointment ..overall quality is excellent would definitely buy from coban again

Mar 08,2021Ordered a guitar kit in the afternoon and it arrived by courier the next morning. It was very well packaged and on initial inspection appears to be manufactured to a high quality. The supplied instructions could be more complete but I suppose that is what google and you tube are for. Overall I am impressed

Mar 08,2021Could not be happier! I needed to change my order - which Mark did with no problem. I wanted to veneer the headstock and the extra piece of veneer wouldn't fit to match the body. No problem! - got in touch with mark and he sent me another piece without any charge - even for postage. The kit is excellent - and has made up into a beautiful instrument. Customer service is spot-on!!

Mar 06,2021Telecaster type mahogany kit. Not built yet but everything looks good. On an initial dry run fitting everything lined up nicely so I'm confident that the final finish and build will produce a great guitar. There was some damage to the neck when delivered but this was quickly and easily resolved by Coban who replaced both body and neck to ensure a match. Superb customer service from Mark at Coban Guitars.

Mar 04,2021The customer service is excellent, beyond what I expected. I got the Hollowbody Les Paul style kit, the body is great, but had some spots where it has some glue spillage, so you need to sand those away, no big deal. the top if you go for spalted Maple or flame maple, the top is about 1mm thick, so keep that in mind when sanding(use a block of wood, go for 300+ grit sanding paper. Use your hands, no power tools) The neck, almost perfect. So some fret work is needed to give it a highend feel, leveling and crowning. This is a kit you can build as a first time builder, but I would recommend that you have some experience in building if you opt to change out the pot's and humbuckers. As cts 500k pot's are bigger and harder to install. The sound is good, it plays nice, and looks the bomb. Fist time builder and I am hooked. I'm already planning my next build. First class kits. At bargain prices

Feb 26,2021Very prompt delivery of my SG kit, which looks to be ok...but until its built I can only honestly review the delivery. I'm also a little worried by the poorly printed wring diagram with no written help... OK I'm back now and it's finished. Got lots of help online, but wish I'd found out some of it before I started, especially regarding finishes and which are best for which surface. Nevertheless I've built it and it sounded really good...until it went out of tune! The machine heads aren't brilliant, so I shelled out for some Grovers and they've worked a treat. Very happy. The wiring was challenging for me...the diagram showed a view from the front, but you fit them in the back so that took my feeble brain a while to get round. So all in all, its cost me a little over £250, which I think is a bargain...and I've learned so much about finishing and setting up. Now, what about a 335?...

Feb 25,2021Bought les Paul 740 style kit , arrived fantastically packaged and arrived the next day with no damage whatsoever! Kit is actually really really good, all the parts fit together nicely, pic ups have a lovely sound and are well wrapped to protect from scratching, wiring all complete and well finished, guitar body itself had no damage and had a lovely tiger stripping to the front, neck and fret board well didn’t have no issues, all was inline and the same height no dents to the frets themselves! generally a lovely lovely kit!! Cannot fault mark and his team!! Will be ordering another kit on pay day! Think this is going to be a very addictive hobby! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 5*
