Jul 27,2024Recently contacted coral windows to inform them of an issue that had occurred after installation of one of there units. A pane of glass had shattered in one of the triple glazed units that i had fitted about 6 years ago. upon my initial inspection it looked like the outside pane had shattered so i took photos and sent them to corals to see if the unit was still under warranty. They informed me that it was, however they told me the pane had shattered due to impact damage and therefore wasn`t covered under warranty. Deciding myself that the window didn't look like impact damage was the cause i spoke to a few other companies and showed them the same photos all of which came back to me and informed me that it was not impact damage it was something else entirely that was the cause. Speaking again with corals telling them about the companies i had spoke to and what they said they still didn't change there mind and they where adamant that it was impact damage that was the cause and they went on in great length telling me all about there many years in the trade and how many times they had seen this kind of pattern and how much experience they had on the matter and they would not change there mind. I was left with no other choice but to pay for the unit to be replaced. The day of the fitting of the new unit came and a very nice gentleman turned up and replaced the unit within minutes all was good UNTIL however the very same gentleman that had fitted the unit went on to inform me that it wasn't the outside pane that had shattered it was the middle pane that had and in no uncertain terms could it be possible for it to have been caused by impact damage in fact the cause was due to the very same thing that all the other companies that i had contacted and showed pictures too said it was. I would stress at this point i was given my initial payment back eventually, but the disgust i have at this moment is not about the cost of the unit to be replaced or the fact the damage happened to the window the way it did in the first place. Its more about the fact that corals couldn't even be bothered to send someone out to inspect the unit and they where more than happy to just look at a photo and make there decision of which they where all adamant that it was impact damage the service manager and management team and even after the refund they still believed they where right. Not a single apology from phone, email, or letter in the post just a note attached to the refund saying refund as agreed. How many other customers have had to settle for corals word on something and just accepted it make payment and never questioned anything. Well let this be a lesson for all out there. I wont be using coral windows again.

Jul 26,2024Jason came out on a Sunday to quote for a new uPVC door, extremely informative and not in the slightest pushy (unlike salesman x from another well known local firm). Stressed that they do not ask for a single penny until the job is completed and that I'm happy, there was no "well, if you pay £x today we'll do it for £x" nonsense. Jason was upfront and transparent, although his quote was slightly higher, I was happy to pay a little extra. We'd previously had a large job done by Coral nearly 20 years ago and were happy then as hopefully we will be upon completion.

Jul 26,2024I had to contact Coral 2 months after they installed our front door, as we had a problem with the handle jamming. This was urgent due to my wife's medical condition, which requires unimpeded front door access at all times. Coral were fantastic. The gent I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, and an engineer turned up the same day to fix the issue. Excellent customer service!

Jul 18,2024The fitter was late and didn't phone to notify us if this. We rang after 1.5 hours. He eventually turned up 4 hours late and was unapologetic, blaming his company for estimating the time wrong on the previous job. We paid promptly the day after the work was completed but nonetheless were chased for payment within 3 working days because the company had failed to register the payment.
