The level of support and communication from the agency was far below my expectations. They did not adequately address my concerns during the matching process or after placement, leaving me feeling unsupported. I would not recommend this agency unless significant improvements are made to their customer service, matching process, and overall quality of support. My experience with some host families was disappointing. They didn’t respect my time or the program rules, treating me unfairly. Cultural Au Pair should do a better job vetting families to ensure fair treatment and proper communication."

What made my year experience great was the openness of my host family's mindset into having me as an additional member of their family. The company cultural care is great for ensuring my safety and concerns through my rematch and placement during transitions. LCCs do tend to not care much about second year extenders making the year seem less important than the first. I however am thankful for being here to experience and grow and better perspective on life.

The LCC's don't check on the Au Pairs wellbeing. They also do not ask the families how everything is going. They charge the au pairs 400 usd for extending the program, even when the salary is super low. The program does not have sickness days for the au pairs. It doesn't cover national holidays either. There are several modifications that the program should do in order to be fair.

It's a great experience. But getting used to with the culture, the food, the weather, sometimes might be hard.

This experience has been great from the start. I was able to make my profile on the website extremely fast and there was always someone to help if I was struggling. I got a match with a host family two days after my profile went out, and I matched with them within two weeks. All the help I needed was there and my host family said the same thing. I was stressed about planes, luggage or arriving. Culture care had a great set up with the help page and you could easily reach someone. During the first two weeks in the USA, I had my LCC come visit and go through rules and making sure we were all getting settled in. I was then put on a group with other Au pairs around the area and would get notifications of up coming events for Au pairs. So it was easy to make friends and meet new people. I absolutely love my host family, they are pretty amazing. I am welcome wherever they go and the travel is really fun. My experience has been nothing but positive, and I am so glad that I did have this opportunity and found a family that I clicked with immediately.

Care more about the au pairs right and make sure the families treat them with respect and kindness.

My experience with the Woods family is wonderful! But this is an exception to the rule because most families in this program are bad and don't want to follow the basics: how to buy au pair food. My first HF with David da Silva and Adrienne Lyle was horrible! They rented the room to other people and the agency doesn't even know about it. You should play a more active role and protect the au pairs more because we also pay to be here, it's not a favor but your work. Many au pairs feel helpless and afraid to demand the basics that are within the obligations of HF because they do not feel supported. You should welcome, protect and ensure the safety and well-being of au pairs

The family I matched with made my experience incredibly amazing and unforgettable. I changed as a person and selfgrown so much. None of that would be possible without Culture care. If you're hesitating, I say Do it!

What is making the experience great is that the LCC is always available when in need for help

I think the program can be very good, but also very bad. I would say it largely depends on the luck of finding a good host family and a good LCC. In my case, I have honestly had a good experience with my host family, but unfortunately, I’ve met girls who have had and are still having very negative experiences, with little to no help from their LCCs. On the contrary, many feel more pressured because the LCC seems to side more with the host families than with the Au Pairs. However, I’ve also met girls who were lucky enough to have LCCs that truly support both the families and the Au Pairs. With all this in mind, I would rate the program a 3. My experience has been good because I haven’t had any issues with my host family, so I haven’t needed the LCC to intervene in anything. So I think that the agency should be a little more careful with the LCc it hires, that they are not friends of the host families, because what I have seen is zero help in these types of cases. because families need help and so do au pairs, so whoever is the mediator of all that must be someone neutral.

My experience w my HF was the best I wouldn’t change a thing, on the other side the part I didn’t like wasn’t that on my 2 years of being an au pair I only had like 3-4 au pair meetings, it’s so hard to make friends in a new place so it’s sad that in that way the LCC didn’t help

In Mexico office, from the start the people were so nice solving all of my doubts and keeping on track with all the process. Coming to the U.S. I found that many of the recommended institutes or courses charge extra and would have liked to find more accesible options. The program is good and the lcc’s are attentive. What I found inconvenient is that some families see us more as a employee and don’t take in account that we really want the experience of being part of some activities with the kids and family as ours is far and taking a flight to see them is very expensive. Most of us really love taking care of kids so doing it while knowing other culture and people is amazing! I'm not saying my experience with my host family was negative, they've been supportive in many aspects but I see what I mentioned with most of au pairs as well

My years as an au pair were the best years of my life, yes it was hard, you work a lot and it's mentally tiring taking care of kids but the love you experience it's so pure. I had so much luck with my host family, they're my family now and forever. Exploring the USA has been nothing but a dream come true, this program was made for me.

Being an Au Pair with Cultural Care is the best decision I ever took. Everybody was so supportive from the beginning and through the whole journey. I had the most amazing experience as Au Pair and I honestly believe it wouldn’t have been the same without the Cultural Care team!! I would recommend not only the Au Pair experience but Cultural Care all the way!! Thank you guys for everything.

The Lcc are not interested in the wellbeing of the au pair when a problem happen, when you really need their help the lcc only makes excuses and let you alone by yourself
