Cultural Care Au Pair is the largest au pair agency in the U.S., celebrating over 30 years matching au pairs with American families for a unique cultural exchange and childcare experience. Host families choose Cultural Care as their trusted source for flexible, reliable childcare that feels like part of the family. Au pairs benefit from the largest network of Local Childcare Consultants to support their cultural exchange experience. Families appreciate being able to schedule up to 45 hours per week and up to 10 hours per day of childcare when they need it.
I like the way there are LCC’s everywhere and they help when there is a need. I dislike having to pay for activities with the LCC because the company gets paid a lot for my presence here. I like the way the business is set up and it makes it easier to get help 24 hours. I dislike the way the families make us work 45 hours for 4.4dollars per hour. It’s not fair, considering that the company is being paid for my presence. I wish the company would increase the amount to 6dollars an hour at least considering the cost of living in America. I love the idea of having a network and work experience in a different country. I wish it was more than 14 days of vacation and maybe paid 10 days sick leave would be helpful too.
It was a really good experience in my pov, both families for me were really nice and sweet!
It’s been good
I love it. My current host family and my furst hist family are/were so lovely! I went on many trips with them and I really feel like part of the family. I built such an amazing relationship to my host kids, I will miss them so much. Also with my old host family I'm still in contact, we are writing letter to each other and plann some meet up because they don't live that far away from my current host family. I also made some new friends some of them are also AuPair others are American. I traveled a lot since I'm in the USA. My highlight an Alaska Cruise. Furthermore my family and friends from Austria visited through the year abd we had an amazing time together, I'm even now planning a road trip with my parents in my travel month.
I’ve had an amazing experience with this au pair agency, and I’m so grateful for all their support! From the very beginning, they made everything clear and easy to understand, which took a lot of the stress out of the process. They really listened to what I was looking for and matched me with a wonderful host family that has made me feel so welcome. Both LLC’s Vibeke and Suzanna’s support has been fantastic. They are always there when I need help, whether it’s with settling in, advice on credits, or just checking in to see how I’m doing. It’s so comforting to know I have someone to turn to who genuinely cares about my experience and well-being when so far away from home. Overall, I feel really supported and well taken care of by the agency and my LCC. They’ve made my time as an au pair such a positive and fulfilling experience, and I highly recommend them to anyone considering this journey!
I’m so grateful for this experience and everything I have been learning. I was so lucky because I had 2 amazing host families that’s helped making my time in United state wonderful.
My stay in the United States has been very good, cultural care was present at the times I needed them, Cultural care was very attentive with my first rematch, they helped me find my ideal host family.
I spent my first family with an amazing family in Arizona and currently I am in New York City with other fantastic family. I’m a lucky au pair. But I think if we had free holidays (4th July, Martin Luther King…) the experience it would be 16814 times better. And the maximum of hours per week should be 40. 9/10 hours per day is crazy more if you take care of babies because that means there is not break. They don’t go to school.
My host family is amazing so that made being an au pair an incredible experience. The cultural exchange has been successful, we have been able to share our cultures and enjoy the food.
From when I started my application they were really helpful and made things easier for me to when I got to America they have always reached out and making sure I’m okay and happy where I am
First of all, I wanna thank you my Lcc who make my experience even better, for helping me out and making me feel really part of the community, and my host family is the best gory family ever!!
The only way to enjoy this program is to find a good family and friends, fortunately I found both, my family is great and allows me to live my experience as a cultural exchange, and the company of my friends drives me to stay motivated and to get to know the country in their company.
My experience was great and my host family is amazing, I’ve just had a couple of problems with the app and that had bothered me a lot.
During the first year, my first host family were the worst people I have ever met, they didnt respect me and obligated me to work 15 hours per day. When I try to do rematch and try to ask for help with cultural care, you pretend to make me work with that people when I didnt want. After crying and feeling so sick and bad Finally my LCC helped me allowing me to stay in her house. Didnt receive the help I expected from you
Being an Au Pair has helped me to grow a lot personally, learn new things about myself and experience different things. I discovered that the world is bigger than I ever imagined and there’s a lot of opportunities out there.
Good experience so far. (:
The company sell the program as cheap and flexible childcare for families and with that they don’t give a shit about us au pairs. After sales are the worst and I feel like no one from cultural care knows what they’re doing.
the experience so far is good, i wouldn't say great because i had to rematch almost a year ago and both the previous LCC and the current one didn't help as much as i actually needed

Jan 25,2025For my part I have always had a great support from Cultural Care, but I’m not giving a 5 stars because I have seen a lot of other Au pairs who didn’t have this chance. Overall, I feel very blessed for having a great experience all along my year and with my host family.
