Feb 25,2025This is an update from my previous review. I reached out to Daals after having purchased the Maru dining table - the table top was improperly finished and hence caught water stains very easily. Upon reaching out to Daals, they first denied responsibility and said that it was due to misuse of the dining table and to use coasters. We've had many dining tables before and none had suffered such bad damages after one use. We also had a carpenter take a look and he agreed that it was a manufacturer defect due tot not providing the appropriate treatment to the surface. When I responded to Daals about this, this was their response: "After reviewing your order, our team suggests that you try gently sanding the top of the table (please avoid the edges) and then reapplying wax oil. Alternatively, you could consider using a coloured varnish for an added touch." - shifting the responsibility to properly finish a table to the consumer. Completely unbelievable and unacceptable. Avoid buying furniture from this company.

Feb 25,2025Quality is okay. I was looking for a chest of drawers and were torn between daals and a couple of other companies selling drawers in a similar style. There was little information on daals website as to the composition of the furniture so after reading reviews about the quality of the other companies being bad and so many good reviews about daals quality I decided to give them a go. However after recieveing my item I quickly realised the people praising daals quality clearly weren't the people assembling the furniture. The holes for the wooden dowels were drilled far too big, the dowels literally rattled around in the holes. Luckily I had some good wood glue handy wich hopefully will help solidify the assembly but I have low expectations to the life of this piece of furniture. The veneer is okay. Not the worst I've seen but not the best. I'll probably be the only person to notice the bad bits as I was up close whilst building it. There was a mark on one of the drawers wich looks to be from shipping as the box was slightly damaged and the drawers were well packaged so can't fault daals on that point. Overall an okay experience but definitely dampened my excitement.
