Jan 09,2024A trustworthy company. They were recommended to me by a family member who had used them for a solar installation and have used them twice. A slight glitch early on when the available area of my roof was assessed at 8 panels - the installation team could only fit on 6. The work was carried out in an afternoon and made no mess. The engineers set up the 'Shinephone' app on an Android phone and registered my account. I was patiently shown how to set the charging times for the battery. I am very pleased with the system they installed. My electricity bill in June 23 was £3! Some months later, I had the same engineers return to install a second battery - I now have around 13 kWh of storage, which is more than sufficient for the whole day (a semi, Scotland, midwinter). On 'Octopus Go' the daily cost for all electricity I use is around £1 even if there is no sun. It costs about another £1 to charge a hybrid car overnight. Some afterthoughts: Make sure you have a good WiFi connection to the inverter/battery. You can use a plug-in extender. (If you don't have a good connection you will get breaks in the graphs on the app, and won't be able to set charging times.) The Shinephone app seems to allow up to six battery charging sessions overnight. If you were braver than me and had the time to set up these sessions each evening, you could use the 'Intelligent Octopus' tariff where the price changes every half hour - sometimes going negative.) You can safely trust this company.

Jan 08,2024Good tidy job , all waste removed from my house . Electrical team really good and competent , explained the app etc . All works completed as agreed and on time . Only downfall was the roofing team worked from a ladder on my two storey house and went over the ridge to complete the panels on the opposite side . No use of scaffold

Jan 08,2024Very good clear advice given from the outset. Panels and other equipment arrived on time and we're fitted over two days. The installation staff were well informed and carried out the work with a minimum of fuss or intrusion. System has worked as promised so far. Would definitely use eco energy again and would not hesitate recommending to friends .

The job was left tidy and clean and full explaination was given as to how the system and App worked given before the left. Highly recommend

Dec 17,2023From our initial meeting with the surveyor we were impressed by his knowledge and expertise and useful advice about energy suppliers. The installation although spreading over a few days due to weather constraints was handled efficiently by the team who were very good at communicating their times of arrival. The paperwork was issued promptly following installation with any queries being dealt with in a timeous manner. All in all a very satisfactory experience.

Dec 14,2023Had a 5kwh battery fitted for my solar panels. On the day the guys arrived bang on time and introduced themselves. They got to work and were very professional and polite. Asking if they could use the facilities even though I had said to them that they could use them. When they were done they cleaned up and explained every thing to me making sure I fully understood the operation of the new system. I would highly recommend Eco Energy.

Very helpful when the changes to grant/loans came in, but we were able to proceed. On the day, very efficient installation and no issues afterwards.

Dec 08,2023Following initial enquiry : from the technical salesperson to all personell involved in the installation I found them to be knowledgeable , skilled , pleasant and timeous . All were at pains to explain their work and were happy to answer my questions regarding the installation itself and its subsequent operation . Given current my experience I should be content to engage Eco Energy in any future project should the need arise .

Dec 08,2023The sales person was pleasant and offered an honest sales pitch. The paperwork was very daffy but there was always someone available to help and guide me if I was unsure. The installation was efficient and quick. There was good communication of time of arrival and time required yo complete the job.

Jan 09,2024Very happy with our solar panel installation from Eco Energy. Carl met with us for consultation, and he was friendly, highly professional and very knowledgeable about the product and installation. The office was very quick in arranging our installation and answering our queries. The installation team was efficient and although there were some connection issues with the monitoring system, the electricians stayed and troubleshot until all issues were resolved. I would recommend Eco Energy to anyone looking to add solar panels to their home. Update 29/05/2024: Solar panels are working fine, but the app is a bit unreliable as it loses connection periodically. However, we can see the panels and inverter are working through our smart meter. I only just received confirmation from our DNO today through my own chasing up with the MCS and the DNO. I contacted the DNO in March, who said they had not received my installation notice from Eco Energy (this was written in an email from SP Energy). I sent the DNO a copy of the MCS certificate myself and followed up with SP Energy today. My export MPAN was created end of April, and SP Energy emailed it to me today. I don't really know where Eco Energy was in all of this, but it was quite the unexpected hassle. Also, I was offered (via email) a £25 Amazon voucher for writing this review back in January, and I haven't received it despite notifying Eco Energy at least twice. I would've gladly written a positive review about your products and services without the incentive, however, thanks to this bait-and-switch for a review and the above issue with receiving the export MPAN, I am changing my review from 5 stars to 3.
