Oct 21,2024After engaging with this group last year( 2023) , i got an initial quote, was badgered into paying deposit, ( jake sales man ) which i didn't at least until i was ready in spring 2024, and that was same experience, call after call to get the sale done. once paid deposit i signed paper work , i asked several questions regarding the installation as i was doing a house extension at the time, trying to coordinate the install and scaffolding etc, they sent a site surveyor out ( 2 kids ) . and they recommended utilizing the new parts of roof - flat and Angled, which i was ok with, despite not fully understanding all the aspects, and also the type of panels ( recommend reading up on strings and inverters) After a few noddy google earth pics of my old roof and house, despite the survey, they changed the quote, to less panels and less generation and wanted more money. After a back and forth for weeks to get the design right i asked about coming out to put drop cables in roof to avoid drilling into the new walls - MORE MONEY again to come out. i cancelled order at that point and also after finding out they were not MCS certified, the system was not fit for purpose and octopus would not accept the SEG agreements which was a benefit in the quote, financial case they sold me, also octopus and other companies for piece of mind could quote significantly more for less cost and installation ( better batteries and panels) after counting to date half a dozen emails and same amount of calls i have had no contact or replies or deposit refunded despite it apparently being held in the IWA agreement. - no other company on the market aced in this way when i followed up for secondary quotes and advice and infarct others did infact call out their tactics as unacceptable( including octopus energy) . they are sales first and customer second. i will chase the IWA for deposit but i suspect ill get radio silence from them. last thing - they wanted the majority of the money upfront at installation, and offered no financial package despite being advertised on their site either. i smelt a rat and figured id only be loosing more good money after bad and cancelled.

The service has been great and the fitters were fab, being helpful, happy and very tidy while working and fully cleaned up when they finished .Recommending a couple of friends who are looking at solar .

The installers arrived as planned, were polite and efficient, assured us that the company would replace any part of our PV installation , should any problems arise in the future.
