I received a letter, in the post from ESE solar, advising that they could replace my existing 250w solar panels to the new 450w Slimline more efficient panels using a £4000 grant. I know that now you can get a brand new system installed for not much more than £4000, so I was expecting that this grant would more or less fully cover the replacement costs ESE solar visited yesterday to conduct a survey. Before he started the survey, he said that he needed to advise me that he would be looking to upgrade my system from a 4kW system to a 6kW system and adding a new additional inverter. I told the man that this is not what I wanted and that I simply wanted my old solar panels replacing for the new more efficient panels. He then went on to explain that if this is what work was completed, it would cost me approximately £9,500. I showed the man the door. This is a total scam and rip-off. Don’t be fooled.
Warranty fault on my solar hardware battery / iBoost. I was expecting it to be a problem to get sorted but ESE couldn't have been more helpful. Jack Ayre managed things from head office and the 2 engineers who attended were excellent and really knew what they were doing. Great job, good communication, satisfied customer. Thanks guys!

Had my Solar system for 12 month now, knowledgeable team and professional, respectful installers - all was great until a problem recently. I accept that problems can happen, and to me, the mark of a good company is how they sort out a problem. Numerous phone calls and emails resulted in a couple of let downs on their promises. The team member that was dealing with my issue left the company and my 'case' was then handled by Jack. What a transformation: He kept me informed, responded to my questions (even though sometimes they were probably a bit silly!) and fulfilled his promises, going above and beyond my expectations. Jack is a real asset that understands customer service. Despite the problem that developed, and a bit of a glitch getting that all sorted, we are now fully functional with our system again and all is working well. Once more I feel I can confidently recommend ESE solar.
The engineer arrived on the time agreed, explained why he was there, checked the system, made a recommendation and explained why. He was smart, well mannered and knew what he was doing.

I have solar system Installed from ESE group for nearly 2 years. I have NEVER had a proper after sale service. I have constant problems with them. Never done my yearly service. Ixtremly bad service. Do not go to that problem as I regret many....many times. Evry time I leave negative feedback I have phone call with request to remove it and then I have some temporary working sistem. Do not use them!

Survey, scaffolding and installation all went without a hitch. The installation team were excellent and made changes to my benefit with the positioning of the inverter and battery in the loft. They spent extra time explaining the system after commissioning. It was worth adding a charging point even though we have not got an electric car yet! The larger battery was also worth the extra cost.
I have had my solar panel installation checked by ESE Solar for over ten years. Everyone has always been friendly and helpful. My recent telephone conversation with Christine was no exception. Can highly recommend ESE to anyone wanting to have their solar installation maintained.
Good advice given by Shaun King, national sales manager and we had 16 panels and a 10.24 KwHr battery system fitted by Rob and Chris of SAS. Sun shone for 12 days without pause from date of installation and we were virtually self sufficient in electricity for the period. Rob and Chris were excellent and very professional, taking care with cable runs to make it very unobtrusive . Worked faultlessly from the start and the mobile app is simple and provides all the information you need at your fingertips. The online web page is even better with everything available to monitor with excellent graphing facilities for techy nerds like me. I can't recommend ESE or their installers SAS more highly.
