We’ve tried the pies, steaks, marinaded meats and everything has been great. I’ll continue to buy from Farmison.

Together with many other people I now eat far less meat, but when I do its a treat, and I get it from trusted suppliers. Farmison is one. Sure its more expensive but its delivered efficiently and is nearly always of excellent quality

I have bought both the “plain” meat and the prepared/flavoured meat and it has always been brilliant, cannot complain. The recipes are also really helpful and above and beyond other butchering websites.

Aug 07,2023My wife who is a very talented and experienced cook prepared a Chateaubriand from Farmison last night. She was surprised that there was almost no meaty smell during the cooking but little wonder. The meat was IMPOSSIBLE to cut with both an electric carving knife and latterly a butcher’s cleaver. Tough, absolutely tasteless and a complete disappointment. Incredibly this was sent to us to compensate us for other Farmison items which were of very poor quality. It now comes as no surprise to learn that the company is in administration. So much for their website boast that they are the ‘U.K’s BEST ONLINE BUTCHER’ What a complete joke but what a pity for their staff who were made redundant. David Murdoch.

Jul 30,2023I’ve been ordering from Farmisons for a little while now and despite the fact that they are a little pricey I haven’t been able to fault the meat we’ve had. The spatchcock chickens and flank steak in particular - really really good. That was until in July when I ordered a dry cure citrus chicken. We sat down to dinner having cooked it with the usual trimmings and it was inedible. Too salty dry and no hint of citrus. It ended up in the bin along with the rest of our food and us having to fork out for a last minute takeaway. Complained the next day and was left feeling it was my fault or I was lying. Asked to provide photographic evidence and packaging which involved going through the bin. My word clearly not enough. Initially no consideration for a lost dinner or empathy really. A second customer services lady was a little better and arranged for a new different chicken to come out and as compensation for our lost dinner she sent a tea towel. Yes a tea towel. I received a further email confirming they’d got the recipe wrong and they’d organised retraining for the staff but no refund no money off a further new order just a tea towel. I consider that pretty mean and a poor show. Sending just a replacement chicken and a tea towel doesn’t cut it for breeding customer loyalty in a very competitive market.

Jul 26,2023My orders are always delivered when requested, excellent quality and well packaged. I have tried several on line suppliers but Farmison comes out as the best by far. the quality of the meat and butchering is second to none and anyone who eats it once I've cooked it comments, many saying its the best they have ever had. I suspect its not my cooking :-)

Jul 26,2023The meat is great as usually but the recent packs of bacon have been disappointing, flavour ok but 4 slices in one pack, quite thick and 6 in another sliced very thin. Not sure if this was older stock so will give benefit of the doubt. Colouring was way darker than usual. But hey, first world problems as it is soooo much better tgzn supermarkets and even my local butcher

Jul 25,2023Initially I was very disappointed as I ordered steaks and sausage as a birthday gift. When they arrived two of the steaks had use by dates which were a month out of date. When I queried this with customer care they said they would check and get back to me, I had to chase for a answer. They told me there was a problem with the labelling and they were in date and good to eat. The steak and sausages were very good, tender and tasty, we enjoyed them and would definitely consider ordering again.

Aug 09,2023Following my first 'test' order of a Tomahawk steak and bacon, I was so pleased with both the level of service and the produce that I immediately ordered a selection hamper for the following weekend. The bacon is some of the best I have ever tasted, and everything else received is also delicious and tender. Provenance is very important to me when buying meat, and I will definitely be purchasing again in the future on a regular basis.
