Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. And Alan was particularly patient
Excellent choice of plants, reasonably priced. Great home delivery service.
Good informative staff so easy to make a decision.
For many years my wife and I lived in Bedfordshire and were frequent visitors at Frost Garden Centre in both Woburn Sands and Willington. As our go to garden centre at the time we rated both Garden Centres highly. On Wednesday we made a return to Bedford for a family funeral and thought after a 5 hour journey we would stop at Willington Garden Centre for a timely break and for something to eat. On our arrival at 11:30am we were told that we were too late for breakfast and too early for lunch which was served from midday. As an alternative we were offered drinks (tea coffee or similar and a selection of cake if we wanted). Not ideal as we were hoping for something a more substantial but felt we would need to accept the compromise offered. What we didn’t bargain for was waiting for 20 minutes without any sign of service before voting with our feet and leaving. It wasn’t as if this appeared to be a particularly busy or demanding period between sittings, but simply the staff had decided to take an impromptu break before lunch sitting and stood idly chatting to the kitchen staff and totally ignoring us and the other 4 tables that had joined us in our part of the restaurant whilst we we were waiting. Both my wife and I have worked in hospitality and retail and we can tell you this you this was a good look or advert for Frosts!
We booked The Loft for my daughter's baby shower last Saturday. We loved the room's decoration and the huge table was perfect for our 16 guests. The afternoon tea was laid out beautifully, tasted delicious, all the different dietary requirements were catered for superbly, thank you chefs! There was plenty of space around the room to stand and chat before being seated. The presents could be displayed on the long side shelf and the integral cupboard was so handy to store all the coats and boxes from our decorations we brought along. The two ladies setting up and assisting during our event we're excellent, so friendly, professional and helpful. Everybody had an amazing day, my daughter was absolutely delighted. Thank you so much 'Frosts team' we wish you every success for the future and will most certainly highly recommend you. Sandra Johnson 😊
The whole process from ordering to delivery was excellent and we received very good service. After an initial phone call to advise the time of delivery, Aaron and Russell delivered on time and with an extremely happy and pleasant demeanor. They were happy to place the ordered items precisely where requested. The whole process from ordering to delivery was just a few days.
Great products, good value, brilliant and quick delivery and super polite and helpful drivers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Frosts
Excellent service in the store and very quick and efficient delivery of furniture, with clear communication from start to finish.
Very informative and a great range of items on display - excellent customer service
Exactly what I needed, delivered in two separate shipments for greater timeliness, with the delivery by a very nice team who carried them into the garage for me.
We had a large amount of compost delivered, the two gents that delivered it (Luke and Nathan) were more than happy to transport the sacks, with the wheelbarrows they had brought into the garden and stack them for me. Basically saving me from destroying my back! Really nice, helpful guys. Thank you
Great customer service from staff at Willington. Followed by a problem free delivery by Luke and Nathan.
Very disappointing lunch. I ordered a jacket potato with chilli, as I'd had it once before and really enjoyed it. Very different experience this time. The potato was plenty big enough, but there can't have been any more than a dessert spoon of chilli on it! My friend had little more than a small spoon full. We complained and they brought us some extra chilli in a bowl, which made up for that part. However, the toppings were not fresh - the sour cream was solid and dry, and the quacamole was a deep shade of brown with a skin on it. Not up the the standard I was expecting, and not worth the price. I'll certainly think twice about having lunch there again. :( I’m disappointed with the reply posted by Frosts to my review of my lunch at Woburn Sands. Firstly, no apology has been offered. How difficult would it have been to say that they are sorry that I had a bad experience? The implication seems to be that I am at fault for not complaining properly! I have given an honest review of the lunch that was served to me. As for the dedicated customer experience team mentioned - it would have been helpful to know how to get in touch with them (e.g. email address). It seems to me that Frosts reply was rushed and it is not helpful.
I’d like to thank Steve, Neil & Ellis at the Woburn Sands, Frosts Garden Centre, for assisting me with my 3 orders totalling 100 x bags of french white pearl stones plus 16 x bags of compost. They were all very helpful and friendly and made my shopping at Frosts a pleasant experience. I then received confirmation calls, emails and text messages from Charlotte regarding my timed deliveries, that were much appreciated. Finally I would also like to thank Luke and Russell who had the unenviable task of unloading my large orders from their delivery vehicle. They also phoned me to let me know they were on their way and proceeded to place these large and heavy deliveries at my designated areas in my front garden. Luke and Russell were both very polite, courteous and hard working. They were very respectful of my property and left my orders in a very tidy manner.
Met some friends at the cafe today as we have many times. We were served promptly but when the scones we ordered arrived we were only served with Flora and told when we requested the butter ordered that there was no butter. The young person who served us just told us there was no butter and walked away despite our questions without any attempt to apologise or resolve the issue. When eventually I got up and found another member of staff to discuss this with I was again met with a rather blank response but eventually a dish of butter was brought out from the kitchen rather than the pre-wrapped salted version normally provided. I have to say I was dumbfounded by this service and feel this is not at all what I would have expected. On a previous recent visit an almond croissant was ordered and arrived with a cold and soggy base which was inedible, I put this down to a one off but after today we will sadly think twice before coming back and would not be able to recommend this cafe. These issues I am sure could be easily rectified and hope this feedback will contribute to improvements.
Had an amazing experience when my son had his birthday party here. The decor, the food, the games were well planned out. Niah and her team were simply superheroes - always so helpful and ready to make the kids feel at ease and happy. Would definitely recommend Frosts for future parties.
Thank you Charlotte and the Frosts customer service team for the great welcome and support you gave when we hired The Orangery for our PopUp shop. Our customers new and old really enjoyed the whole Frost experience and we look forward to returning in March. Thanks again, Caroline & Michaela Up-Style
I found the staff both helpful and knowledgeable . Delivery staff efficient and pleasant.
As always, serving staff were polite and efficient but my goodness the food was utterly dire at Frosts Woburn today. Two in my party ordered the Stilton walnut and pear salad with “crispy” bacon. I’ve had that salad before and it was tasty; this time ugh! I estimate that there was less than a level dessert spoon of Stilton (none of it larger than grains of rice) at the very bottom of the bowl hiding under the pile of green salad: certainly not enough Stilton to impart adequate flavour to the mixed leaves under which the tiny portion of cheese was hiding. There was no walnut at all in my salad. The bacon appeared to be thick-sliced chewy back bacon replacing the streaked crispy bacon that I had eaten when I ordered the same in Frosts Woburn restaurant before. The bacon looked and tasted like greasy breakfast leftover bacon gone cold. Described as "crispy" in the menu, it was extremely fatty, sinewy meat and very unpleasant to eat (and almost impossible to cut) It was clearly the wrong kind of bacon for this meal and certainly not in accordance with the menu description. The other lady in our party had a similar experience though she scored points for actually having one half kernel of walnut on her plate (though I don’t think that is enough to justify “walnut” being in the title of that salad in the menu). I did mention the poor quality food to the manager who said that as we had already eaten the food (not the awful bacon) it was difficult for her to resolve. That's fair enough as she couldn't see what wasn't there; though she did comment on the remaining leftover bacon; while that was immediately visible when the food was served (I really wish I hadn't given the plate the benefit of the doubt after seeing it🧐) but it's difficult to demonstrate that something isn’t actually there (look at this air where the walnuts should be?) or is an unreasonably small portion. I only discovered the missing/shortfall in ingredients when I'd already consumed the healthy leaf mountain; I'm ever the optimist! NOTE TO SELF (and to anyone who reads this review) thoroughly inspect and evaluate the contents of your Frosts Woburn plate before starting to consume your food; do not rely on your very reasonable expectation that your meal is as described in the menu. Alternatively; relax and eat somewhere where the menu accurately represents the food served. On the plus side, the pear and mixed leaves were nice and I didn’t use much of my daily calorie allowance up on lunch.

Apr 08,2023This review covers two separate visits. I personally was looking for information on Kadai.. on the 1st occasion I spoke to a wonderful female member of staff who enlightened me on the product and the manufacturers recommendation on product use. To me this went above and beyond what I had received from any other nursery outlet. I spent time considering I possible purchase and on my second visit again the service was impeccable checking computer systems for stock availability and in the end finding the items I needed, always ensuring impeccable customer service. Well done to all the staff I am not the type of person who would normally leave a review.
