I have been going to Fudges on Harrow Road for many years - unfortunately there is no other cycle store near me. They appear professional and well presented but I have never had a satisfactory experience with them. On my last few visits I had to return to get a puncture re-repaired three times. Today I asked them to adjust my gears. As I expected they tried to upsell me and spend £150 on a new cartridge, chain etc. On the way home once the oil I had put on it had worked through, the gears started operating smoothly ( i hadnt used the bike for a year or two). My view is that this particular branch is thoroughly dodgy.
Ridiculously overpriced I had paid over £50 for a new chain and gear service, I was then charged another £8 for them just to help me take an inner tube out and I even provided the new one
Really great experience with this knowledgable, friendly and service orientated shop. Went out of their way to be helpful, provide advice and beat the price of others. Let's support local businesses as the giants dont provide this kind of bespoke service. Well done Fudge and sons...
Needed a part for our ebike which the original store couldn't/wouldn't supply and the The UK distributors didn't know how to get hold of it either. Fudges order placed and exact part (at a great price as well) arrived in the post a few days later. Great service.
I love Fudges. So accommodating. Great service and fast to fix any mechanical issues. I’m a daily commuter and they have got me out of many issues and got me back on the road super quick.
I have always found Fudges reliable, do quality work and willing to help where they can, but this morning they surpassed themselves. They diagnosed, what I thought was a major problem with my bike, with minimum fuss and cost. A big-hearted thank you to Gavin, and I think, Daniel. Apologies if I have not remembered names correctly.
Really helpful staff. Very considerate and went above and beyond with their help sorting out my Brompton. Shout out to Daniel and Leon. Great guys. Many thanks.
Gavin, a very friendly member of staff helped me today with my front brake. He was knowledgeable, keen to help and patient when answering my many questions. I learned some useful things about my bike from this too! Any future issues, l know I can pop to Fudge cycles and my bike will be in safe hands! Thank you!
Can highly recommend this store!! Amazing personal customer service and support from deciding on an e-bike to buying it. Also when it unfortunately got stolen after 2 years, they were very supportive and helped me trying to find short and long term solutions for me. Andrew and Mike were the ones I mainly interacted with for the guidance and support.
It was the best LBS experience I’ve had in a long while. I needed a new chain fitted and Campagnolo gears tune up ahead of a 100km charity ride. On the phone the courteous store manager, Roy, asked all the right questions to ascertain, as far as possible, the condition of my bike. Booking in was easy. Same day service was offered and taken. On the day Roy explained exactly what they would do to my bike. When I collected it the cassette had also been inspected and cleaned - showroom standard. No extra costs. I can strongly recommend them for road bike maintenance, advice and some friendly conversation about bikes and cycling routes, if that’s what you’d like. Oh yes, the charity ride -the bike performed perfectly :-) 5/5
Paddington store very smart anew manager Roy lovely and helpful. Doug is also super lovely. Totally recommend this shop.
Friendly but service dept v disappointing. Eg brake calliper Allen bolt made unusable in single time my £6k bike went there for first service.
Bought my little girl a Specialized Riprock 20 for Christmas from Fudges, they were fantastic. Great personable service from Andrew. Royal mail / Parcel Force let us all down with their poor delivery times but nevertheless I am very happy with the service I got from Fudges. Great people.
Ordered a bike and was initially told of 48 hour delivery. Called and advised could be up to five days! Fifth day arrived and discovered bike had been stolen in transit. They arranged a new nike to be shipped. Mike and Dave both very helpful through this ordeal although their choice of courier is questionable.
I have been going to this shop for over 3 years. I bought a very expensive R&M bike from them (+£4000) and I bring it for a full service 2 to 3 times a year (which each time cost between £120 et £160). I guess you could call me a regular... The other day I was looking to buy some oil or a product that would help me lubricate the suspensions of my bike as it was creaking. They wouldn't give me a recommendation but instead asked me to bring the bike in a for a £30 check in. I understand everyone needs to make a living but after all the money I had spent there I was disappointed they couldn't give me a simple free advice. I resorted to bike forums and facebook groups to get my answers and yes some lubricant is all that was needed not some fancy investigation. Their bike servicing is very good but I always have to bring the bike back once or twice for fine tuning which again is disappointing based on how much they charge you for it. Also when I bring it back I usually get a lot of sass from their mechanic which again feels very inappropriate based on their pricings. If there was another R&M retailer near me I would probably give them a shot to see if they can do better. 3.5 stars for me
Angelo at Fudge's Cycles on Harrow Road solved a mechanical issue for me today which has defeated two other local bike shops! Knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help - it made my day, thank you!!
Excellent. Great attitude from all staff, great work. I'd been dropping in to their shop a few mornings a week to put air in my tyre, and when i was let down by my usual bike mechanic i gave them a go with a chain set service. They did a fantastic job, stripped it, cleaned it, replaced chain set, and all in a day. Couldn't be happier with their work and they were very pleasant, respectful and professional to deal with. I forgot to mention the slow puncture when i left the bike for the service but a week later they fitted a new tube for me in 15 minutes. Recommended.
I popped in to see the guys at Fudge, John helped me, I thought i needed a handlebar extension but seems my seat was just way too high and at a weird angle.. fantastic knowledge and advice I cant recommend them enough.. I am going back next week as want to get the bike serviced
Beware when going for repairs here and make sure to get a second quote. I went into Epsom just to get a new chain put on. I was told my rear cog would need replacing(which it didnt) and he couldn't just replace the chain as it is a health and safety issue. Quoted me £120 at first, then I mentioned a spoke was missing and quote went up to £140. Must have been replacing with a solid gold spoke, I'm guessing. Long story short took the bike to a local repair man £25. Job done.

Apr 15,2025Bought an electric bike from their addlestone branch. Unfortunately it only worked for six months. Took it back and they kept it for one year and now want me to pay for the repair. Stay away, they are scammers.
