Founded in 2014, Furniture Direct Online, a family business with over 40 years of expertise in the furniture industry. From the beginning Furniture Direct Online has been focused on supplying the best quality furniture at the most affordable prices for our customers.
In 2015 we moved to our brand new 80,000 sq ft warehouse in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This progress allowed us to stock hold over 20,000 sofas and achieve fast, reliable deliveries.
In 2019 we faced the challenge of the global pandemic. With thousands of sofas in stock and the lounging lifestyle, we all became accustomed to during the lockdown. This is where Furniture Direct Online stepped up, to become a household name. Delivering over 100 sofas per day nationwide.
Here we are now, in 2024 with our new look and thousands of happy customers. Our mission still remains the same, striving to bring you incredible quality furniture at the most affordable prices with the absolute best customer experience.

May 09,2024Yes, it’s cheap so I didn’t expect the best quality but I thought the sofa would last longer than a month and a half. Delivery “company” are terrible, tried to deliver my sofa to a complete different address and signed for it themselves before eventually delivering it to me. They aren’t even a company, just a couple of men hiring a van which is why they charge a joke of £75 for delivery. Packaging was covered in spiders! Sofa was torn underneath but it doesn’t effect it so I didn’t complain, but now a month and a half after having the sofa - a corner sofa with a “free” foot stall. I assume the foot stall is free because they want you to sit on that instead of the end seat of the sofa, the wood underneath doesn’t hold a small child let alone an adult, the back of the sofa bends forward when you sit on it because it’s not secured underneath. The sofas are cheap so you should expect low quality but not something that can’t be used after a month! Avoid this company and it’s terrible customer service. UPDATE: I’ve been asked to remove this review multiple times as my issue is “resolved” due to my sofa being exchanged. My issue isn’t resolved as the delivery company were worse the second time around and I’m not happy with the “new” sofa. They left the new sofa outside on the floor in the rain whilst removing the old broken sofa, then rolled the new sofa through my house whilst making holes in it catching it on door handles and banging it off of every wall. I have had to settle for a complete different sofa of a different size and colour as mine was no longer being sold by them. The new sofa is supposed to be black but it’s a washed out grey and all cushions are of different shades of black/grey that we think it may be someone else’s return, still includes the same very cheap slippery pillows and no instructions as to where to make holes for the feet. My original review still stands. This company and their sofas are terrible.

May 23,2024Ordered a sofa from this company after being let down by others, I even changed my mind after I had placed the order - and picked a different colour, this was no problem and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Sofa was delivered very quickly, it’s great quality, and very comfortable, the cushions haven’t “dropped” which is what’s happened to every other sofa I’ve owned. Definitely recommend
