Founded in 2014, Furniture Direct Online, a family business with over 40 years of expertise in the furniture industry. From the beginning Furniture Direct Online has been focused on supplying the best quality furniture at the most affordable prices for our customers.
In 2015 we moved to our brand new 80,000 sq ft warehouse in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This progress allowed us to stock hold over 20,000 sofas and achieve fast, reliable deliveries.
In 2019 we faced the challenge of the global pandemic. With thousands of sofas in stock and the lounging lifestyle, we all became accustomed to during the lockdown. This is where Furniture Direct Online stepped up, to become a household name. Delivering over 100 sofas per day nationwide.
Here we are now, in 2024 with our new look and thousands of happy customers. Our mission still remains the same, striving to bring you incredible quality furniture at the most affordable prices with the absolute best customer experience.

Feb 21,2025I brought a corner recliner sofa and it's great it good quality, comfortable and looks amazing. It's not as expensive as some similar ones out there too and it can fit 5 big adults, perfect for our family now everyone can sit together. It was simple to put together though you definitely need to able people to do so. The delivery guys were really helpful and nice they carried it up to our flat no extra cost so if you live upstairs no worries just let them know in advance.

Feb 21,2025Was a little apprehensive about purchasing a sofa online. After seeing several ads on Instagram for the Meridian U shape corner sofa bed, it was everything that I wanted. Having given up my bedroom to give each of my children with additional needs their own room, I needed something with storage to hide my bedding away, durable, without compromising style and importantly - affordable! I bit the bullet and ordered the sofa in Black Alaska Chenille - it’s perfect! Fast delivery, really helpful delivery drivers who had a little job getting it through the front door but managed with extra effort. Put together easily myself. The children love family movie nights, it’s stylish and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to order again.

Feb 20,2025Sofa would be good if it didn’t arrive broken. Arrived on a Friday at 4, once I noticed it was damaged I went to call Furniture Direct. They close at 4 on a Friday. Checked their website and they said they were open at 10 on Saturdays. I called up Saturday and spoke to someone who rather abruptly told me to call on the Monday as they’re not actually open on a Saturday. So that wasn’t helpful. Called again Monday and someone who was helpful said she’d sort it. They had to check stock levels which took them until the Thursday! To which I was told a replacement part was being immediately despatched and I will get a confirmation email shortly. No email arrived so I had to call them 3 times the following Monday to be able to speak to someone about this. (The first 2 calls I was told the person who could help me was busy. How can no one else help in this situation?) once I finally spoke to the lady in question I was told they infact don’t have the replacement part and I need to wait a further week before I can find out when the replacement part will be sent out. So after what will be 3 weeks with a broken sofa I may hopefully find out when the replacement part will be despatched. Having an autistic son who is constantly trying to access the broken part is proving to be very difficult. All I’ve had from them is an apology which is far from acceptable in my opinion. Overall the communication has been very poor and although the sofa is good (the non broken parts) I wouldn’t recommend this company as the communication is poor and some of the people I have spoken to have been rather rude. One lady has been polite but this is not enough when it will probably be a month with a broken sofa.

Feb 20,2025Absolutely love my new sofa it's so comfortable and we love having movie nights on the pull out bed. Iv given 4 stars because of lack of communication with delivery dates and waiting 3 weeks for delivery when they said 5 days. Other than that I'm very happy.

Feb 20,2025I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again. There was an initial problem with the original suite that I ordered. However, as soon as Furniture Direct Online was made aware of this issue this was promptly communicated to me. Absolutely over the moon with the alternative suite, which was delivered within five days.

Feb 19,2025The sofa was delivered with no holes to screw the feet. I reached out to them several times about it and they refused to help me all they said is just screw it in or buy an electric screw driver and use that. I done all of that but it still didn't work. Then I even brought a drill to try and create a hole for the screw... that didn't work. I asked them to come pick up their sofa and they said I should show them the issue before they can arrange it. That's where I'm at with them currently. The quality isn't even that great. I'm in 2 places about it because I've returned a sofa already and I've been looking for sofas for a long time. This is a nightmare

Feb 18,2025Really pleased with our sofa. Ordered on the Sunday and delivered the following Monday. Was dubious at first as not able to travel to sit on it to try it out but need not have worried. Communications excellent and also provided extra customer photos so be able to finalise my decision. Also managed to get £25 off first order, so including the delivery, was cheaper than just the sofa price at DFS. Our sofa even has optional mood lighting underneath which is great! Very easy to put together and I was able to do it on my own, even at 26 weeks pregnant! Very simple, very easy, wouldn't hesitate to order from here again. Many thanks!

So practical with the storage and the sofa bed is ideal for movie nights with the kids. So happy with it! Came within a week, great communication was kept up to date with delivery and the delivery men were lovely. 2nd sofa from here and will definitely be back again 😃 Thankyou
